I've been going to my hairstylist for over a year and she is truly incredible. If this review were…read moreabout her, it would be five stars every time. Unfortunately, it's about the salon owner, whose behavior is consistently rude, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing for someone running a business. From my very first appointment, she set the tone. I walked in with a Starbucks for myself and my stylist... completely unaware the salon had a café (which was closed, by the way). Instead of a normal greeting or a simple "Just so you know, we have coffee here," she loudly blurted out, "Who brings Starbucks here?" as if I had just broken a house rule. Not exactly the welcoming vibe you expect when you're coming in to spend money. Her attitude has been the same every visit since: dirty looks, zero acknowledgment unless you're her direct client, and an overall negative energy that shifts the whole room the second she walks in. And it's not just me. My best friend and my mom have both gone to the same stylist and experienced the exact same treatment from the owner. The same snarky comments, the same judgmental looks, the same cold, uninviting demeanor. So it's clearly a pattern, not a one-off. One moment that really stuck with me: it was just me, my stylist, and the owner in the salon. My stylist stepped into another room, so I raised my voice slightly to make sure she could hear me. The salon was empty. Yet I overheard the owner mutter, "Why is your client so loud? She's in a salon." Instead of speaking to anyone directly or respectfully, she chose to insult a paying client behind their back. Completely uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. Even if YOU the paying client says hi to her she looks you up and down and gives a cold hi back. At this point, the only reason I've ever tolerated stepping foot into this salon is because of my hairstylist. Who deserves better, and so do her clients. If you value professionalism, respect, and a welcoming environment, I'd strongly recommend booking with these amazing stylists anywhere else if they offer services at another location. The talent here is great. The owner is the problem.

(I have thick pacific islander hair) if you want to a hair stylist that is experienced and knowledgeable about hair management she is the best to go to. I had a bad experience at the last salon I went to for a Japanese straightening touch up that left my hair uneven and I didnt like what my hair looked like. Yang Ja fixed my uneven lengths and helped me understand what products are harmful for my hair and what hair practices are best for to manage it. If you're looking so a hair stylist with knowledge on how to manage hair and someone that is experienced with Japanese straightening 10/10 recommended.

I can't comment on the quality of the services, as I never actually made it to my appointment, but…read moreI can certainly comment on the incredibly rude and unprofessional customer service. I booked an appointment with every intention of attending. Unfortunately, a few hours later, I realized I was going to be held up at work. Rather than simply not showing up, I reached out in advance to explain the situation and ask whether there was any availability later that day or if I could reschedule. To my surprise, I was told that I was being "disruptive and inconsiderate" and instructed not to make appointments unless I was certain I could keep them. For context, I hadn't even had this appointment booked for a full 24 hours, and I was making a genuine effort to communicate rather than leave someone waiting for me. I completely understand that cancellations and scheduling changes can be frustrating for a small business, but unexpected circumstances happen, and there is a professional way to communicate with customers. Being spoken to this way simply for trying to give advance notice and explore alternative availability was completely unnecessary. I've honestly never experienced anything quite like it. I'm actually glad I got to see how potential customers are treated before spending my money here. Needless to say, I won't be rescheduling or considering this salon in the future.

On 7/22/26 at approximately 3 PM, my 15 year old daughter and I visited this location as a walk-in…read moreand were checked in by the one/only stylist who was working. My daughter's name appeared on the check-in screen and we were told we'd receive a text announcement on when the appointment would be ready, as we'd be waiting for one person ahead of us to be served first. Completely fine, and I stated we'd wait outside in the car for our turn and the stylist acknowledged this. After time went by which seemed like too much time and not receiving a text, I entered the salon to find that not only had we not received a text to let us know our appointment was ready, but the stylist already took another customer who was seated and perhaps halfway through a haircut. My daughter's name was off the screen and another person's name was listed. The stylist stated it was not her fault that we didn't receive a text message. I also confirmed with her that we were waiting right outside the front door in the car and an easy thing to do could have been just to wave at us from the salon door and we would have entered the salon. She did not sound concerned, apologetic, worried that a customer was passed over, etc. The stylist told me that we could wait until the next customer on the screen was completed and then we could have our appointment. We felt like the fact that we didn't receive a text notification didn't matter, we felt like the stylist didn't care enough to notify us when we were right outside the door, we felt like the stylist didn't want to take any accountability at all, and we felt like the stylist had no sense of customer service or caring at all.
