I really wanted to give this place a higher rating, but the service was rough. Blue Habanero is…read morelocated on Tusc in Canton with lots of options around. Please, please, please pay attention to the signage in the entryway. The service was already rough, but seeing an automatic gratuity on your bill put a sour taste in our mouth. The queso with chorizo and chips were a great appetizer. A chorizo and queso lovers dream. However, the chips to queso ratio was off. When requesting extra chips we were forgotten about. Later when the meal was over the server passed multiple times forgetting to go boxes. During this visit, I ordered the Burrito Gigante with high hopes since I've had similar burritos at other places. The burrito was so so and not very flavorful. The burrito had chicken (extra cost), rice, black beans, corn and topped with queso. The salad was a wonderful surprise to the meal.

The restaurant was packed, which was expected for the holiday. We didn't mind the crowd and happily…read morewaited 15 minutes to be seated. However, once we sat down and looked at the menu, the "sticker shock" hit hard: * Price Hikes: Almost every item on the menu had increased by about $5. * The Missing Special: Their signature taco deal ($10 for three tacos with rice, beans, and salad) has been completely scrapped. * The Bottom Line: I'm a fan of the flavors here, but paying $65 for tacos for three people is a dealbreaker for me !!! Shame on you!!

El Campesino is a pretty decent full-service Mexican restaurant located on busy Cleveland Avenue NW…read morein Canton, Ohio. The restaurant includes a full bar which is accessible from inside the restaurant proper but also has a separate entrance from outside. There are plenty of comfortable tables and booths at which to sit while you dine. The menu is pretty extensive, check out my photos for the entire eight page menu. Upon being seated we were immediately brought chips and salsa. I asked for some queso dip to go with the chips as well. The salsa was pretty ordinary but the queso dip was very delicious. Having not dined here before I asked the server for suggestions. He recommended Molcajete which I enjoyed. It is steak, chicken, shrimp and vegetables and cheese served in a mortar which appears to be made of volcanic rock. The liquid in the mortar was boiling when I received it and continued to boil throughout most of my meal. The dish is accompanied with rice and beans, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole salad. It is served with warm flour tortillas. It's a whole lot of food for $14. My wife and my mother both ordered El Campesino Fajitas which is beef, chicken and shrimp cooked with onions and bell peppers. It was accompanied with all the same items as my Molcajete. My father ordered the Quesadilla Supreme. It's a huge flour tortilla grilled and stuffed with cheese, mushrooms, chopped beef, onions and vegetables. It was accompanied by rice, lettuce, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. Everyone enjoyed their food. The portions are huge so we all had enough left over for another meal the next day. Prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed my entree but to be honest I found it to be a little bland. My wife felt the same about hers. I added lots of delicious hot sauce and some black pepper to enhance the taste. The service was excellent throughout our visit, it was very fast and friendly. Our server was very attentive from start to finish. 3.5 stars founding up to 4 for the exceptional service and great value.
