We feel so fortunate to have found Teacher Mimi for our kids' piano lessons. She is not only an…read moreexcellent teacher but also a true performer who brings music to life. What sets her apart is her ability to combine solid theory with practical skills. Thanks to her teaching, both of my children have learned to remember and play songs by understanding chords rather than just memorizing notes. Mimi emphasizes the basics with such care--especially hand technique--that it gives her students the foundation to play advanced and elegant pieces with confidence. I wasn't sure if my kids would enjoy piano at first, but with Mimi, they have grown to love it and even appreciate classical music. They get inspired by Chopin and Beethoven, often choosing challenging pieces, and Mimi patiently guides them through all the techniques and theories behind the music. She helps them truly enjoy mastering each piece, turning it into their "dream song." Another highlight is her master classes held multiple times throughout the year, where students share their pieces and give constructive feedback to one another. She also prepares her students thoroughly for evaluations, and every year she hosts a grand recital at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music--her alma mater--which makes the experience even more special. Teacher Mimi is the kind of piano teacher every parent hopes for. She's inspiring, highly skilled, and deeply dedicated to her students' growth. You will never regret choosing her, and we are more than thankful to have her guiding our children on their musical journey.
