Awesome staff! I was looking so a guitar with a specific sound. I had been to this shop in the past…read moreand knew that had a limited inventory so I decided to go to guitar center for more options and boy was that a mistake. Ending up leaving there in tears and coming here and the staff was phenomenal. The previous front desk woman( she has since moved on) sat down with me, explained how every guitar they sell is hand picked, and played every guitar for me. Some more than once until I narrowed down the one I wanted to they helped me pick out what I needed and set me up with lesson. My teacher was also a super chill guy who you could tell truly had a passion for what he does. And the owner is also a very kind man. I now recommend this store to anyone who will listen!

I bought it at Guitar Center and i got a…read moregreat price but it need some work... the frets stood out a bit, some of the frets were rough and needed polishing and the action was a little high... This is high end local shop and it was recommended by Fender as a place to get great service. I dropped it off early July and was told i would get it back around early August. No big deal to me I was in no rush. Its not a large location (located in a small strip mall). The shop is very nicely kept but all the guitars have string locks on them so there is no casual picking up guitars here. They have a great selection. I went by today to pick up my guitar and paid $90 for the tune-up and presumably a new set of strings, which I was told would be replaced. I got home and plugged in and in less that 5 minutes of playing my fingers were black from the strings! The strings had a weird feel to them I don't know what brand they use but it would not be a brand I would purchase. In previous setups at other shops the tech would always ask what type of strings i would like to have as replacements... this was not offered; my mistake for not specifying but considering it was a higher end i was guessing they would use better strings... Some of my frets are still rough so I don't know why they were skipped. The action itself did not appear to have been worked on at all... Overall, this was not a stellar experience here. My search for a tech goes on... word to the wise.... make a written list of what you want done if you have your guitar worked on here...

I brought a guitar in for service. Skips music did not call me to say it was finished for over 2…read moremonths. So I called them for an update they said " sorry will get on it right away. I waited another month and they never contacted me about the guitar so I called and Scott from repair said he would work on my guitar that day. I am an easy going person so I wasn't angry about it taking over three months to fix my guitar but when I went to skips to pick it up. Rich (one of their sales people) was very rude to me. He acted like he thought he was better than everyone els. He made some rude comment about my guitar being dusty I know there's a lot of comments about the bad behavior of the employees working at skips music, didn't want to believe it but its true.
