I called them back later that day and the next day, the manager did not bother to get on the phone with me but was relaying messages to Megan on the phone. They assured me they would be calling me back. The next day. I received a text message letting me know it would be six more weeks and the manager would update me. I had yet to talk to a manager or receive an apology. I texted back that it was unacceptable since they already had it 6 weeks and they lost it. They said they would try to get it done as soon as possible. Two weeks later I was informed the manager would be picking up the instrument and would contact me. A week later Gabe contacted me and was very apologetic for the situation. This was the first apology that I had received. Gabe is the reason this review got one star. He went above and beyond to apologize, communicate and called me more than once. I did get the instrument back. However, when I went to go pick it up, Megan acted like she did not want to help me or recognize that I was in the store. I paid over $300 to have the instrument fixed and my daughter informed me not all the pads were replaced. Very disappointed in this music store and the customer service received. I will be using a different music store in the future

I found Rich via the interwebs and set up four half-hour lessons. Rich was patient and very helpful, making what was a really intimidating (for me) situation very easy. I liked the experience, and Rich, so much that I signed up for 12 more lessons. Rich has got me playing chords, picking, and able to work my way through some songs on my own, as well as be able to read tabs on my own. I plan on bringing my son back for lessons, too. He even called the store where we purchased the ukulele and consulted with them on what adjustments to make for us and we were able to get it set up just right. As for the lessons, they have been wonderful. Rich works hard to keep my son engaged by switching between time playing music, reading music, and drawing out notes/measures/etc. on a white board. I don't know how to share our current story in a short way that anyone would bother to read. So I'll say a few quick bullet points. Current instructors - Ray and Julia I give 5 Stars. Matt as well. Ray in particular has really gone out of his way to do anything he can from a teaching perspective. I'm at a loss for why his profile is not included on the website but if you want the best guitar instructor... he's your guy. They need to fix the culture of how students treat each-other and other SoR students from other locations. This used to be one of the most attractive points of the school. Not anymore. School of Rock having Houseband students re-audition every year should stop in my opinion. If a kid is not pulling their weight or meeting expectations then they should be worked with to try and fix it. If they can't, they get pulled from the band. This is not just in regards to instrument talent but every aspect of what being a Houseband member is. Otherwise those positions and aging out positions should be the ones being auditioned for by fresh students. For most families, becoming a Houseband member is the end goal. This is where their dedication towards the School and experience recognizes them as leaders of the school and examples for others. They truly represent that location and are a MAJOR draw to getting signups. This is where they are rewarded by additional training of live gigs around town, bigger audiences, and gain gigging experience to begin their professional journey. Sending them backwards after multiple years of Houseband on their final year at the school, after years of dedication simply due to a score card in a 10 minute audition, is not benefiting anyone. You can't simply "disregard" the history of a student at audition. Their history matters. Lastly, this locations most attractive point to many families was Hazmat the locations houseband. This band just came off playing the Van's Warped Tour last year. Many families like ours have invested so much into the School for that band. Suddenly this summer, they cancelled it against all HB parent feedback. Against what all the HB members wanted. The owners or gm's... someone just wasn't concerned about parent feedback. The SoR website definition for a houseband is being comprised of fellow students from "their school". Now the Roseville students have to audition for Folsom's houseband and practice at that location. That is not representative of what the website says. It was not just unfair to the Roseville Houseband but unfair to the Folsom Houseband as well. We used to feel so incredibly valued. We have put so much of the last 4 years of our lives into this school. We believed in Nay the GM and Cecilia and Jason the owners so much! As fast as they gave us everything for our family, they took it away. They don't realize it's almost equivalent of losing your job. HB families dedicate large portions of their lives to this. Removing a student should not be viewed so lightly followed by "business as usual" lip service. So this is my rating for now. We'll see if the future goes for better or for worse and will update the rating accordingly.

My daughter was accepted for piano and voice lessons, and after going through the entire process, the funding was approved. We were simply at the final stage of confirming the schedule. When I called to confirm the lesson days and times, I was put on hold and the call was disconnected. I called back several times but was unable to reach anyone. Shortly afterward, I received a message saying that the lesson time was no longer available and that I should remove the funding and find another studio. When I asked whether this was simply a scheduling issue, I was later told that, "after further review," they had decided that they could not accommodate my family and would not move forward with services. I asked for a specific reason in writing, but they refused to provide one. That is what concerns me the most. This was no longer about availability or scheduling. They made the decision to refuse services to my family, after we had already been accepted and the funding had been approved, yet they would not explain why. I cannot say for certain what motivated their decision, but the way this situation was handled left me feeling unwelcome and discriminated against. As someone whose English is not perfect, I was especially uncomfortable with how I was treated during this process. Families deserve clear communication, respect, and transparency--especially when they have spent significant time going through the process to secure services for their child. I would not recommend this studio based on my experience, and I hope other families, especially those who may have language barriers, are treated with more respect and professionalism.

We started at their old location in the heart of downtown Lincoln and journeyed with them when they made the move Nicolaus Road. They have always been immensely trustful, respectful, accommodating kind and just generally supportive to our band. We were always welcomed by the Tamraloo Crew and they communicated to us with clarity and in a timely manner. The space itself was more than large enough at our largest size (7 members) and plenty big enough for most bands. Set up and tear down are a breeze as there are numerous entrances and exits, and you have the privacy of your own space at great price that won't break your band funds. I highly recommend Tamraloo Studios, not only for rehearsal purposes but any music, dance, theatre related class or instruction or even tutoring if you need it! Their instructors are abundant (several to choose from), with different backgrounds and certifications and are truly amazing humans who really care, not only about what their teaching, but their student's progress and well-being as well. Take advantage of their first free trial lesson if you are looking for a good music, dance, theatre school or your scholar needs some extra support. It's a wondrous community to become a part of. My own children have taken lessons and have really enjoyed the experience and improved in their pursuits. So if you're looking, give them a try!
