Laura refunded our stay and has been doing everything in her power to make things right, a true professional and kind person. Now that Laura has a new location in NY and has severed all ties with Sara I would be more then happy to stay with her. They are the only hostel I've seen in PR that offer breakfast. Hosts Coral and Jonathan are just lovely, and their tips to see Puerto Rico's sights, food and events were extremely helpful. Charming, fully equipped kitchen, with continental breakfast, hot showers. Some rooms are private, and the dorm is unisex. Not walkable to beaches, a car is best, and is close to Walmart for supplies. Nice daytrip drive from San Juan, and good to use as a base for exploring. Highly recommended for families, travelers seeking tranquility, safe, clean lodging. I will be back!

They send you check-in instructions by email and text. Be aware--THERE ARE STAIRS to get up to the rooms. This is pretty common for hostels though. The room I was in--4 bed women only dorm--was clean. The door to get in had a number keypad for security and they also had small lockers for your stuff...bring your own lock though! I liked that the beds each had a little curtain for additional privacy. Bed sheet and towel are included as part of your stay/standard room rate. They had a group chat you can join on WhatsApp. Met some cool people to hangout with. Also, most people I ran into within the common areas were really nice. Additionally, tons of restaurants and bars are in the area. Maybe the only inconvenience is that their kitchen area is closed until 7 or 8 am. If you're planning on waking up early for excursions, that might be something you need to plan around.

It is very easy to make friends here. The hostel management also conducts several events: bar crawls, beach outings, hiking trips to the rain forest. Free breakfast is a plus and a great opportunity to connect with other guests. There is free parking on the street north to the hostel. During the day it is very easy to find parking but make sure not to take your car out at night especially until the clubs close which is like 3AM. It would be really tough to find parking again. The property has a dog that sometimes gets inside rooms but he is very gentle. Make sure to close the door behind.
