The only food I've tried on the menu is their Pad Thai (which isn't Vietnamese, BTW), which for less than 150 pesos is an excellent plate of vegetarian pad thai. I prefer my pad thai to balance the umami of patis with lots of citrus and maybe a dab of sweetness. I stopped caring when the food arrived, though. I had pho ("pho you!" I chuckled, as the waitress glared at me disapprovingly) while my Bicolano lobster had the spicier Thai chicken curry and chicken satay. The food was hot in more ways than one, so I balanced it out with their delicious Thai milk tea (if it's a Thai place, should I just call it milk tea?) I was delighted that the lamb was not just tender, but it was flavorful even without the sauce. The sauce was heavenly curry goodness and in my opinion, has a good amount of flavor and spice - enough to make it memorable. Price point is a bit expensive, but the dishes as good enough to share, unless you're really hungry, which I was. Definitely worth it though! P.S. Was drooling for it again as I'm writing this.

We ordered Grilled Vietnamese Pork, Chicken Curry, Chicken Satay, Fish in Mango Sauce, and Pinakbet. Serving is a little small, but we enjoyed eating them. We were having so much fun that we kept ordering because we got curious as to what the other dishes taste like. Chicken Satay and Vietnamese Pork are my top recommendations. True to the Pampangueno's reputation for good cooking, each dish was flavorful and perfectly executed. If there are some suggestions for improvement, I would say that the wait staff could perhaps be trained better to give faster service. They were times when simple water refills would take too long, so much so that we actually requested for a water pitcher to be brought to our table. Also, the fruit shakes are a bit on the watery side. Overall though, the restaurant is worth a second (and third) visit, especially given the prices which are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food it serves.

Their mango sticky rice is my favorite menu item though. I'm one of those people for whom dessert is chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate, but this dish was an exception. It's nothing fancy, but it's well-made, and the textures of the fruit, rice, and cream all come together in a gorgeous harmony of sweetness. Prices are also more than fair.
