Just had an incredible lunch at People's Palace and I'm still thinking about it days later. Our group of six walked in without a reservation (luckily they squeezed us in), and right away the vibe felt welcoming--elegant but not stuffy, with beautiful wood accents and soft lighting that made everything feel special. We started with the pomelo salad--bright, zesty, perfectly balanced with just the right kick--and then dove into the grilled pork skewers, which were smoky, tender, and gone in seconds. The star for me was the steamed sea bass with chili-lime sauce; the fish was so fresh it practically melted, and that sauce had me spooning it over everything. Even the pad see ew was a step above what I've had elsewhere--chewy noodles, great wok hei, not too sweet. Portions felt generous for the quality, and nothing was overly oily or heavy. Service was flawless. Our server remembered who ordered what without writing anything down and kept the water and tea flowing without us ever asking. They even brought out a little complimentary mango sticky rice at the end because it was one of our birthdays--such a thoughtful touch. Hands down one of the best Thai meals I've had in Manila. Ambiance - we had a bit of a hard time looking for this restaurant on Greenbelt 3. The ambiance was simple family style. Service - attentive and courteous. Our water glasses were always full. Food - we ordered pomelo salad, papaya salad, and if I recall correctly, a beef sate or bbq. Everything was fresh and delicious. We would have eaten more, if not for the fact that we had just eaten a large buffet breakfast at the Manila Peninsula couple of hours before. A really popular restaurant in Greenbelt 3. We dined inna group of 5 and got seated just before the restaurant got full at noontime. It's fine dining featuring seafood, rice, shrimp and pork dishes. A bar is available for limited drinks. This restaurant accommodates large groups with ease. There was a group of 24, comfortably seated, at the table next to ours. Food is good, we had the chicken pandan, which was a bit burnt, the cat fish salad which was my favorite and the pomelo salad which had lots of cilantro in it which I'm Not a fan of then we also tried the pad Thai which was okay. I didn't enjoy the pad Thai that much bec it lacked some flavor in it, lots of bean sprouts on top and not so much noodles. My husband and I had lunch at People's Palace in Greenbelt today May 12, 2026. We were so disappointed with the food that was served to us. Ordered crispy pork belly with sticky rice, it's was served cold and it was not freshly cooked. Pad Thai was very disappointing. It was dry and had no flavor didn't taste like pad Thai. The only dish we enjoyed was the pomelo salad. Even the crispy catfish with green mango was lacking flavor. People's palace is overrated and not worth the price. There's a lot more good Thai restaurants that's worth going. Will never go back to this restaurant. Although I give credit to good service. read more

We found this Thai place through Yelp. It's located in Greenbelt 3. It's located near the church in Greenbelt 3. This place is a bit pricey and the portions are a little small compared to any regular Chinese restaurant but this is Thai and I can't compare them. However, the place is nice and very clean. We're a party of 10 and we have to order double on every item we ordered. The food is excellent and good. We should have ordered 3 of each item instead of two to satisfy our cravings. Their crispy fish is delicious. As well as their crispy pork belly. I don't know if they serve authentic Thai food but their menu is good and appetizing. The place is mediocre. It was recommended to us for dinner. My husband and I are visiting from San Francisco and met up with friends. This place is located at Greenbelt, Makati in Manila. It is next to a few eateries and shopping mall. The food portions are small portions and pricey. We had to double up on our orders to get our fill! This for me is one of the best Thai restaurants in Manila. It might be one of the pricier ones but it does have better quality than average. I enjoyed the food so much that I forgot to take pictures we had Tom Yung, Pad Thai, the usual. The one that tasted lechon kawali was exceptional. The sauce made it taste even better. I wish there was more pork than veggies. The chicken with cashews was also good but the tofu was boring. That's the major reason I deducted a star. The mango with sticky rice was also good. We were able to walk in to be seated, but they recommend making reservations. This is my relatives favorite place for Thai food. We usually order numerous appetizers, which is exactly what I did when there were just the 2 of us having dinner here. The ambiance, food, and service here is 5 stars. The only reason I deducted a star is because they only honored 1 senior discount despite both identification cards that were presented, which were Philippine issued identification cards. I usually order pomelo salad if it's available at Thai restaurants. I happen to love Prawn Crackers so I ordered the sweet Prawn with Pork Relish. Don't let the name of the dish fool you. It doesn't have that typical pickled relish taste. It has more of a curry taste to me. The crispy squid didn't have as much salt and pepper as other restaurants that serve this dish. Honestly, I am perplexed with the high rating. I've definitely had much better Thai food in Canada, which is surprising, considering Philippines is closer to Thailand. Anyway, I did not find the flavours to be anything special, nothing like the flavours synchronizing with each other, which Thai food is known for. Nothing about the taste of this meal is spectacular. After saying all that above, the cost is actually quite high for a Thai place, even higher than the other restaurants around the Greenbelt area which I tried. Honestly. The chicken wrapped in leaves was rock hard. I did not even taste the fish in the lapu lapu dish... was it frozen? The pad thai was crap. It was just sweet. wtf. The bagoong fried rice was way too salty, it just tastes like bagoong. I've had better tom yum from a soup base I bought at an asian supermarket. The sticky mango rice was probably the best thing I tasted, oh and the milk tea, it was ok, but I've had better for sure. This place is located inside a mall. The venue looks all right. People's Palace is Thai food and it is very good. Not ever dish was outstanding, but all was quite tasty and we were pleased with the food and the kind service. You can dine inside or out. The outside has fans to try to move the heat away and the day we were there incense was burning outside and I liked that. Some, I think, do not. I found it lovely. People's Palace can get super packed so make reservations. The service is great. Now, I wish they delivered the dishes at the same time and not piece meal, but they were all quite good. Peoples Palace is just about the hottest Thai Restaurant in Manila right now and the buzz has been following me since back in New Jersey....I can see why. Reservations are a must and even then you're in a holding pattern for that time. Walk ins are asked for their phone number and then expect another 1 to 2 hour wait if at all. The dining room is minimally furnished,all hard woods and sharp white plastic edges,plain walls,2 modern motifs over the bar and some benign art scattered about that's it. This room is all business.... eat.pay,and get the hell out ..we have diners waiting. Menu is extensive and covers everything from the ever faithful pad Thai to duck curry but we decided to go with the favorites. First up. The pomelo salad, sanctioned pomelo,shrimp,cilantro,onions,Thai basil in a tart lime/kaffir/fish sauce and sugar dressing. Sweet,sour,spicy and shrimpy all at the same time. Very good appetizer to start the meal. The Tom yum was so complex and savory with a spicy bite that gently creeps up on you ....then before you are completely aware you go "damn that's pretty hot!" The shrimp as well as the fermented fish belly lends its distinctive taste and I had a ball sucking on the fat shrimp heads. The sautéed water spinach was a bit too salty but all was forgiven when both the duck and chicken curries hit the table. Duck curry was in a red curry sauce that was hot and sour from the tamarind paste, salty from the top shelf fish sauce and spicy from the Thai chili's. Chicken in yellow curry with sweet potatoes was creamy from the coconut milk based sauce with the potatoes lending that satisfying sweet finish. Both of these dishes required several trips from the waiter dispensing aromatic steamed rice from a large metal bowl. The breaded and fried Lapu lapu was next and the flaky meat was clean and fresh Rare sliced beef with a lemongrass fish sauce was so pungent with all the aromatics that we barely touched it but the fried pork belly salad? Was a thing of beauty.... succulent ,crispy and sweet. I absolutely love Filipino pork. This was a huge meal ( there were 10 of us) service never wavered, food came out quickly but well spaced,prices were high by Manila standards but reasonable by US standard so a good meal....... but. In my mind People's Palace strikes me as having too much of a production line " get them in and get them out" ethic and I believe the food reflects that. Seasoning were at times overdone,presentation messy and some taste become " muddy" for the lack of a better word. Go, eat, enjoy... I ordered the ripe mango juice, pomelo salad and chicken basil. The pomelo salad was fresh and flavourful. The prawn and chicken could have been a bit more as pomelo taste overpowered all other flavours. The chicken basil was good and spicy. It is definitely a dish worth trying. Ripe mango juice was ok. People's Palace has been around for over a decade and is still constantly packed with people, holding its place as one of Manila's staples. Top dishes have to be the Chicken Pandan, Pomelo Salad, Green Curry, Prawn Cakes, Pad Thai, Prawn Spring Rolls and Chicken with Cashew. The white rice is unlimited and while the fried rice options are great, I would recommend white rice to enjoy the flavors of the individual dishes. I understand busy restaurants but when the restaurant isn't full and you tell me I have to be gone at a certain time to make room for seemingly more important guests, it makes me wonder whether or not I should stay as well as if I should recommend your restaurant to others. However... My server was awesome! He made great recommendations and was attentive to my table for 1. The pad Thai was excellent and was just the right level of spice when advised to start with low on the spice and brought some shakers and sauces to add on the spice. This Thai Restaurant is in Makati's Greenbelt 3 area with option of outside seating. Great for drinks and starters. Go for papaya salad it is spicy and hot, if you like Thai food you will enjoy the green Thai pepper in it. Their duck curry is made with red curry base and tastes best, you can skip usual red curry for duck curry. Be Tom Yum happy, the bowl can be split with 4. Green chicken curry is better than what you can have in the US, green curry base is lot creamier and tastes richer. They have mango and sticky rice and tastes as good as mangoes in the season. There is green mango juice / slush on the menu it tastes as bitter as unripe mango, menu has many healthy drinks one with mint/ lemon grass/ ginger is interesting and can wear off, days heat. The first Thai dish I ever tried was a Pomelo Salad in the streets of Bangkok. That taste and memory stays with me until this day. So, when I need my Pomelo Salad/Thai fix, I usually find myself here. People's Palace is located at the ground floor of Greenbelt 3. Their food is always fresh and has the right amount of salty, sweet flavors that Thai food is known for. However, the restaurant is a bit pricey but for the food's taste, location and ambiance, you get what you pay for. Some of their bestsellers are the Phad Thai (Php420, 9.18USD), Pineapple Seafood Fried Rice (Php420, 9.18USD), Aromatic Chicken Curry (Php390, 8.52USD) and Morning Glory with Crispy Pork (Php420, 6.99USD). But, my most favorite dish that you MUST try is their Prawn, Pomelo and Coconut Salad (Php390, 8.52USD). I can't even describe how good this salad is! For many months since I arrived in Manila, the only experience I used to have with thai food was at Songkran, a restaurant that serves thai street food. Although everything is very tasty, the place doesn't really invest on food presentation or recreations to the traditional dishes. This scenery changed when I discovered People's Palace, a modern and classy restaurant in Greenbelt 3 (lesson #1 - don't underestimate the mall's food courts here in Manila). People's Palace specializes in high-end modern thai cuisine. I had a great time there and it was certainly a really interesting gastronomic journey. Curries, noodles and stir-fry prawns are not exactly a novelty concerning thai food. But the way those classics are combined is what makes People's Palace different than the other thai restaurants in town. My husband had the Aromatic Chicken Curry, with sweet potatoes and pineapple. My order was the Kao Soi Gai (nothern style chicken curry with crispy egg noodles). Highlight #1: the fragrant rice! The waiters are continuously refilling it, as many times as you wish! The rice is so tasty! I loved also the bowl in which they serve it. So beautiful!
