Good food. Alright service. I've been to better Thai restaurants. Bit this was good too.

Rustic decor with lots of wood from floor to table as you would expect in a Thai setting. It was not busy when we arrived and was seated right away. We ordered the crispy pork and papaya salad. The crispy pork was good but didn't think anything exceptional. The papaya salad was crunch and spicy, just the way we like it. You can order it mild if you don't like spicy. Pad Thai is one of the signature dish and a must order. When served, egg is covering the noodles and they mix it for you. True Thai flavor. Delicious and highlight of our meal. We also ordered the stir fried Kangkong (morning glory), another favorite. Rice need to be ordered separately. Only curry dish comes with rice on the side. Staff was very attentive and take their time in answering questions or responding to our asks. Definitely going back again to try their other dishes! :-)

Exceptional Thai food in the middle of Makati City!…read more I came here for dinner with my parents and I loved this place. When we walked in, the delightful aroma of the cuisine piqued our appetites (but didn't overwhelm). The interior of the restaurant is warm and inviting and beautiful. We ordered three dishes to share (Green Chicken Curry, Crispy Pork with Stir-Fried Kale, Rice Noodles in Thai Gravy). Everything was so mouth-watering, flavorful, aromatic and well made. You can request different spice levels (we went mild since my parents have an aversion to spice, but I can see the dishes getting pretty hot, if that's your thing.) For dessert, we shared a Mango Sticky Rice Sundae and it was so so so good. The mango was sweet and fresh, the sticky rice was warm and perfectly sticky, and the ice cream was tasty and creamy. Everything came together so well-- I could've inhaled the whole sundae myself! The server was friendly and helpful, guiding us and answering our questions about portion size, spice level, and recommendations. Definitely highly recommend Azuthai--I'm going to have cravings from this place even after I leave Manila!

We started with the pomelo salad--bright, zesty, perfectly balanced with just the right kick--and then dove into the grilled pork skewers, which were smoky, tender, and gone in seconds. The star for me was the steamed sea bass with chili-lime sauce; the fish was so fresh it practically melted, and that sauce had me spooning it over everything. Even the pad see ew was a step above what I've had elsewhere--chewy noodles, great wok hei, not too sweet. Portions felt generous for the quality, and nothing was overly oily or heavy. Service was flawless. Our server remembered who ordered what without writing anything down and kept the water and tea flowing without us ever asking. They even brought out a little complimentary mango sticky rice at the end because it was one of our birthdays--such a thoughtful touch. Hands down one of the best Thai meals I've had in Manila. Worth every peso and I'll be back next time I'm in town. 5 stars all the way.

Our water glasses were always full. Food - we ordered pomelo salad, papaya salad, and if I recall correctly, a beef sate or bbq. Everything was fresh and delicious. We would have eaten more, if not for the fact that we had just eaten a large buffet breakfast at the Manila Peninsula couple of hours before. We loved the flavors and would definitely come back.

But while on vacation, my very good friend who loves Thai food planned a dinner outing for a bunch of us. I've noticed whenever in Manila, we've ate at several Thai Restaurants. By far, she has chosen the best Thai Restaurant I've ever been to!!!! Located in the G/F of the hotel lobby, I guess you could say it's always safe to check out the website before indulging on your upcoming dinner. My friend also advised "Smart Casual" is required for dress attire and that reservation would be for a party of 6 at 6pm. It was the most convenient and easy way to dinner as we walked from our Ascott Hotel towards the Dusit Thani. There is security prior to entrance, and this hotel is what you call Grande Entrance! From the front desk it was so nice and elegant. Even as I was just walking by, I came across an Asian Carrier Cabin Crew and thought how lucky for them to have hotel accommodations here. Anyways. Let's say 2 hours of dinner time because there is actually 2 dinner seating's for the restaurant. 6pm and 8pm. Take a look at every dish and appetizer ordered because it was beautifully prepared, indescribable with words, what looks like a meal that was prepared in Thailand. I will have a hard time dining out at another Thai restaurant back home in Honolulu! The customer service, all the servers, the atmosphere, the decorations were all so amazing. Everyone was full of smiles and friendliness. I will definitely be back again soon.

Chef Watcharaphon "Ja" Yongbanthom made a guest appearance on Iron Chef, which is one of the cooking shows that I enjoy watching. Everything we had reminded us of Bangkok, but with an exquisite dish presentation. We described all of the dishes that we enjoyed eating in Bangkok, and she knew exactly what we were talking about since she is Thai. I apologize for not knowing the names of our dishes, despite our server telling and showing us what it is called in their menu. I love starting with a pomelo salad. My niece likes chicken satay. My cousin ordered the soft shell crab curry. My aunt likes steamed fish with lemon and fish sauce on the side. I like Pad Thai. We ate everything family style so that we could taste each other's choices. For dessert, my niece had coconut ice cream within a ball of dark and white chocolate. My aunt had something similar to a halo halo. My cousin was given a complimentary mango with sticky rice for her birthday. I guiltfully had a sampler plate of desserts all to myself and enjoyed every single calorie I gained.

I have eaten in other Thai places in the city but I have yet to taste a Tom Yum Soup that can balance just the right amount of lime, subtle taste of lemon grass and a flavorful kick of the hot and spicy. Nothing is worse than eating a Tom Yum overpowered by milk or one that does not meet the standard scale of sourness. I had one of those before and I left the place feeling full but not satisfied, which was a really sad moment for me. However, with Just Thai, I'm happy to say that their Tom Yum soup lived up to my expectations. Not too spicy! Sourness, check! Much like Baby Bear's porridge, it's Just Right. My only grumble was I wish they could've put in more shrimps and mushrooms. And a bigger serving perhaps? :) We ordered other food such as Khao Krok Kapi (Bagoong Rice), Phad Thai, Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Soup in Coconut), Pad Gaprow Talay (Seafood in Basil). I liked the Bagoong Rice, but I suggest don't mix all green mango strips too much with the rice because the mango taste is overwhelming. The rest are pretty good too and I would recommend them. With that, I shall MOST LIKELY return to this establishment should I ever crave Thai food again.

We got the beef noodle soup and the pad thai. The food was good, nothing too impressive. I've also had a major craving for mango sticky rice so I was super excited this was on the menu! I would order it with your food if you know you want it because we ordered it after we finished our mains and it took around 20-30 minutes to come out. It's cute the way they present it but the coconut sauce was WAY too salty so we couldn't put that on top unfortunately. Still satisfied my craving without the sauce though :)
