Absolutely delicious! SOI has great vibes and is steps from Chiado and the river in Lisboa. Everyone at the restaurant was helpful and able to accommodate our English speaking. The food was also scrumptious and had several vegetarian optional, although their meat and seafood selection was stronger. We went for an afternoon lunch but I can only imagine the area is even more lively at night! Highly recommend.

As much as I love seafood and wine, after traveling Europe for a month I was starting to miss Asian cuisine. Luckily we found this place while wandering around near out airbnb and decided to stop in for lunch. We order the Vietnamese goi cuon and som tum for a starter. I really enjoyed the fresh rice noodle rolls with the tamarind sauce. However, the papaya salad didn't have the classic flavors I was used to. It lacked fish sauce so it tasted quite off. The shape of the papaya shreds were a bit thicker than normal which allowed for more of a crunch. For my entree, I kept it simple and got the chicken pad Thai. It most definitely hit the spot. I really like the presentation of the dish, it came with a little wooden paddle with chili on it. They also have other unique dishes like crab meat w/ udon and lamb mussamun curry. The service was great and the ambiance was very modern and trendy.

Without a reservation, they were able to get us a table l and also gave us a tour of their dragon, rhino and each section of the restaurant. The bang bang chicken tasted more along the lines of a peanut sauce (similar to pad thai) and wasn't spicy, but still delicious! I could have easily made a meal solely eating 3-4 of these. The piri piri chicken was cooked perfect! The yogurt sauce, rice and onions all gave it a Mediterranean feel, and the bread/tortillas went great with it.

Discovered JNcQUIO Asia - easier to get reservations last minute at Asia instead of Avenida. The room was beautiful - I loved the decor - so imaginative with the dragon skeleton hanging from the ceiling. Ordered the truffle naan, crab on wonton, spring rolls, crispy duck salad and fried rice. The flavors were there, but the duck salad had way too much cilantro so I had to pick it all out. It was my birthday celebration and I received the hazelnut biscuit - delicious! Service was very strange - one waiter took the order and I never saw him again. Another server brought the food and he actually spent time to explain the food and presented the birthday dessert.

I am a vegan and 26 is my favorite number so I felt like this restaurant was calling me to eat here…read more- I am glad that I answered the call. This restaurant is beautiful and well thought out. I love the entrance and the journey to the main dining area. I love the interior design. I love the open-concept kitchen that grants the ability to watch the chefs work their magic. I love the dishware and the presentation of the food. Ultimately, I love how intentional the creators were with the development and execution of Ao 26. I ordered the Francesinha and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Upon reading the description, I was hesitant because it did not sound like something that I'd enjoy, but I was desperate to try a dish native to Portugal. It was delicious - so so delicious. I'm glad that they were able to veganize the native dish and execute it so well. For dessert, I ordered the Peanut & Chocolat Pie. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't order it again because it was slightly too rich for me, however, if you like dark chocolate, that is the dessert for you. I loved my experience here. This would be a great place for a date or night out with friends. The food is great and the vibe is better. Thank you Ao 26.

I'm afraid that was the most interesting part of the experience. Service was okay, but definitely not particularly friendly. We asked the server which was a good, traditional (albeit vegan version) Portuguese dish. She recommended the Supreme Bifana sandwich. So I ordered that. It came with sweet potato fries. I forget exactly what was in the sandwich, but it was pretty bland. There was a sauce that came with the dish and that was tasty. But the sandwich itself was meh at best. The fries were also disappointing. They were soggy and very oily. Dipping them in the sauce made them somewhat edible. So meh food and meh service equals a meh review.
