You could spend probably a whole day here but it's fair to budget just a few hours to a half a day too depending on how much playtime you want to give them. The games area is fun too. They have bowling, giant dominos, checkers, and corn hole. My daughter also appreciated the tiny room with miniature versions of everything. A lot of the tinkering and building stuff relied on recycled materials which you could easily find at home so the experience maybe could inspire for after visiting creative projects. I actually myself enjoyed the painting lab. Since the exhibits change from time to time I think I would come back. I understand that kids must have an accompanying adult, but when you add the non-local pricing up, it's $100 for a family with two kids. I guess everything is expensive in touristy areas like this but it does make this visit somewhat prohibitively expensive when you could, for example, visit the zoo for free. Concession options were good - pizza, chicken tenders, corn dog, hot dog, fries, ice cream. No juice boxes. Clean bathrooms and water fountain. Lots of tables in the shade to eat. The ride operators were extra special nice to the kids. One stopped to help our kid with her shoe at the top of the slide and one put towels on the seat of the ride so it wasn't too hot from the sun. From the perspective of a caretaker I had some concerns. There were inconsistencies at the rock climbing wall. We had one student (a very small one) who was allowed to go the first time he went, denied the second time, and allowed the third time. Different workers were there each time and eligibility to go on the wall is supposed to be based on weight. The workers at the wall were not very helpful to the kids with getting their harnesses on, nor did they monitor the kids as they climbed, leading to two kids getting tangled as they came down. There were other instances of workers not setting timers for rides like the boats and bounce house, even though there were long rides for both. Overall the kids loved it, rides were age-appropriate and lines went quickly.

I'm a budding aquarist. I have two small fish tanks (one biocube, one freshwater planted…read moreaquarium), and I'm always looking for new fish to put in the latter, and new ways to keep the former looking beautiful. I've used Aquatic World a couple of different times in different capacities along those lines, and I've been quite pleased. I was initially attracted because I'm just down the street and I stopped in. I bought a few hermit crabs, a turbo snail, and some coral for my saltwater tank, and talked with the owner, Sean, a good bit about aquariums and aquarium care. He gave me a few suggestions, and all is going well. Then, I decided to take advantage of their tank consulting services in order to make sure that the Biocube was running in tip-top shape. The gentleman who came over, Matt, was super pleasant and showed me a couple of tricks and gave me good advice. The tank looks great now, and with the tips and advice I think I can keep it looking great longterm. It's worth noting that every time I take the cats to the vet it costs at least $100, so the consulting fee seemed very reasonable at $65 an hour. A couple of the reviews have mentioned a discourteousness to children. Full disclosure: My only kids have fur and fins. But I can see what they're talking about based on observations of others. However, it more comes across to me as "I'm going to focus my attention on customers, versus children of customers." It doesn't bother me. If you want a goldfish for your kid, or a beta for the micro-tank on your desk, you'd probably be happier going to the Petco and Petsmart of the world. Aquatic World can do it, but it's probably overkill for what you're looking for unless you take your aquarium pretty seriously.
