iam,a fan as far as it goes.before talking about the pizza,i will revue a couple other items they serve.most of their grinders are good to adiquet.for steak and cheese,Antonio used to have them beat by far-if ,when adding sauteed peppers and onions. last two yrs however antonio's had fallen, changed, had to lower quality for some reason,so their grinders are no longer ,nor pizza that good, though their service is same.in my opinion village pizza's steak and c heese is superior /better by how they prep the lettuce than sophia's ,but not extremely so the difference here is- sophia's delivers.however where sophies out does village and most i've tried here in town is that they may make their curly fries fresh ,and though iam not a fan of fries, fresh curly fries are better tasting than many competitors simply based on their pure ingredient and t he thereby obvious freshness, though suppliers now generically produce curly fries, these taste like they are fresh. they also are very good with outshine in their Buffalo wings,50/50 between legs and wings, full bones,so no processed sub prime pieces, the sauces could be better, but apart from the late brickers, however generic they are adiquet, however would they deign to make their own blue cheese dressing themselves with more lemon juice and real large chunks of cheese, they would kill in town, the barbaque sauce is a little a slight bit thin when they supply it as a buffalo side
but tastes good, same with their ranch, their hot sauce is a highbred mixture of real hot-sauce and french dressing which is odd it is though it useable, odd enough that i avoid it.but again the wings themselves recommend them along with the price makes these above the competition with other sauces used, though haven't recently retried villages,if they upgraded their sauces, they may/probably would become the best anywhere in town, except in comparable cooking in texture and layers of baked on sauce at or from the wok. where texture and thick sauce is by far the best.where they beat others along with the quality of them is the very good prices the more you buy. as far as their wraps not a big fan either but don't care much for any few wraps ive tried so an not a sure authority on their true quality.turkey sub is good but not as good as village again ,unless i have never added the right additions. have not tried much of their other offerings.( the pizza.)is their biggest draw,as for the pizza's i like to sometimes love them, they are a hit and miss proposition. have tried a great many combinations and have found most good to fair.they beat domino's by a great deal, even though this greenfield domino's uses very fresh veggies unlike other dominoes not having to compete with village,or sophia's nore the wok.where i think sophia's does even better than village is when adding their barbeque chicken to the topping. it does however cost double the regular topping price- though they add enough , ,they could put it into a grinder, so in volume that addition is well worth 1 more buck, when adding the hot peppers they do unfortunately ,do not well drain them so any addition of then is cautionary as you usually end up with a near soupy pizza. most combo's are good.but not as choicely cheesy as village though very close with a much better pricing and they deliver,so it beats village in ease. the last pizza comment is- buy their small if possible, especially if adding peppers, that is tough as a small is small and not a 2 person order, and like most places will not give you a deal on getting two. so trying to buy to satisfy any big hunger is not easy or budgetary recommended- though two of their smalls together is still close to villages lrg. the reason i get the small and a side whenever possible is that for some reason, because of the size of the pan,for some reason their smalls come out almost as savory as villages if not more, the volume and texture is vastly improved over their large- but that be a personal opinion if you like sophies pizza crust better, this size is possibly better than any in this villages, and much better than their large pizza's i myself in ordering here often,I- to have found ,their under cooking a regular hit and miss problem on the large only almost and so order the large only when hunger necessitate and am also to when iam in the mood for a journey and sometimes getting one somewhat soupy.but when getting the small obviates that occurrence hugely i guess.having to do with the pan size,so if i had alot of money i would pick their smalls over the lr. and wings in 15 dollar range.any other good choices they may have would not know. have not tried there other choices but likely if they sell lasagna that would likely be very good only based on how they prep things. read more
