But it seems the company is under new ownership. My more recent job with them was subpar. When I reached out to them, they tried to blame me for misusing the item. The item was a diner booth bench. I was sitting on it! How could I misuse it?! Eventually they agreed to pick up and fix it but not before I had to fight with them to do so. Everyone makes mistakes. It's how you deal with them that makes all the difference. If they had simply apologized and fixed their mistake, I wouldn't have to be writing this bad review.

In addition, I was very happy that he was able to take the curio to his workplace to do the repairs because with our large, very protective dog, it would have been difficult to have this work done in my house. I'm truly impressed with how he restored the curio to its original condition. This was definitely a project with all that was required; the curio had broken legs, detached pieces of metal fence-like railings, unsecured shelving, etc. To summarize, he did a super job and I highly recommend him!

Professional, high-quality service at very fair prices…read more My dog ripped a decent-sized hole in one of my couch cushions. I emailed SFS through the website on a weekend and Ruben replied the same day. He explained exactly what he needed to do and answered all my questions. He came to my apartment a few days later (on time!), took the cushions, and then estimated two weeks for the job. It ended up being almost three weeks but the quality of the fix was so good that I didn't mind (also he put in extra effort to find fabric on the cushion he could reuse, rather than buying new which would have cost more). I would absolutely use SFS again in a heartbeat!

I wish I would have received a little guidance from them on which hinges would work best because the ones I bought weren't compatible with the trunk, but the piano hinge they ended up using works fine. The trunk came back beautifully repaired and I love upholstery work. It took almost three months to get this piece back though. We are in a pandemic, but that's a long time for a repair.
