Let me start by saying that I was referred to Coles of Washingtonville by someone who works for…read moreanother local large plumbing company, (nameless), who stated that they, the other company, were over priced and that they didn't agree with their pricing. The other company wanted to charge me over $2200 to replace my expansion tank, pressure relief valve, and purge my gas boiler. I was dumbfounded. I visited Coles and explained to the nice young lady at the desk what I needed done and about the other plumber. She told me yes, they were cheaper, and the following day, she sent me a quote. My jaw dropped on how much cheaper Coles was charging. Chris came over. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was going to do before doing anything to the boiler. If he ran into a hiccup, he would inform me before doing anything. I really appreciated that. He considered me and not do whatever without discussing it with me. Chris replaced several valves, replaced the expansion tank, cleaned the boiler, replaced a thermostat, and purged the boiler and the cost was much less than half of what the other company wanted to charge me. Coles was honest, reasonable, professional, courteous. If only more businesses were like that. May God bless abundantly the Coles business, their families, everyone who works for them. And may they continue their business from generation to generation. I definitely recommend Cole's of Washingtonville.

We were very pleased with the answers to our questions, upgrade of well tank size and the work performed. The final price came in as quoted. I've used these guys twice in the past 2 months. The first was to install a new water heater to…read morereplace a leaking and less efficient older unit with a larger one. I couldn't have been happier with the work, and they made sure everything fit which in my cellar was not an easy task. The second time was an emergency call with my gas boiler in sub-zero temperatures. Stephen was out in less than an hour, less time than Nebrasky quoted (which was "whenever we can") and found everything that was problematic with the unit. A number of people might think that would be "finding new items to tack onto the bill", but each one was actually a real issue and he described the symptoms it caused to a tee (yep, we experienced all of them). We avoided a much more expensive repair or a new boiler as a result. His pricing was fair, and his response time out of other plumbers (he was the first to be able to get onsite) on a bitterly cold morning was appreciated. No upselling at all, in fact he told us that our current one was running fine and he wouldn't even try to sell us one with the few problems he could easily fix. Everything is indeed working very well. I'd recommend him immediately if I needed something done for plumbing and HVAC, and that's after having dealt with Nebrasky a few times and paying their outrageous prices. In fact, he corrected some defects in the boiler that would make it easier to maintain in the future, and showed me how to do so if there was a problem (what service person do you hear explain that those days?). Very trustworthy, didn't gouge on pricing, and considering I've skipped maintenance over my heater's lifespan, I was overdue. Very happy with him, I'll be calling again if there's a problem or when it eventually comes time to replace something else.

Installation was difficult, but technician Vincent persisted. A real professional! Another problem loomed, but owner Steve drew upon his knowledge and experience and saved the day! I've always seen the service trucks on the road and remembered the Royal Class name when my A/C…read morestopped working on a 83 degree day. I live in a colonial, so the second floor gets hot, if we don't run the AC it is so uncomfortable we don't get a great nights sleep, and my wife and our brand new puppy keep me up. When I called the office, I received a professional greeting from Liz and was transferred to the service manager Scott. It was like I had been a customer for many years, but this was my first call to Royal Class service. From the time I got onto the phone to the time the tech arrived was no longer than 3 to 4 hours. Ryan was thorough, professional, organized, clean and even wore booties in the house. He stayed until the problem was fixed and gave me a follow up call that evening. I couldn't have asked for a better experience during a frustrating time with a Family and a puppy who just needs to-be COOLED off. Thank you again for all you did and I'll see you on the next service which is scheduled. Congrats to the entire team for doing the right thing and giving me faith in local contractors. Respectfully, Scott & Tara

WARNING: Service Abandoned During No-Heat Emergency (Post-Surgery/Child in Home)…read more Contractor: Royal Class Service (RCS) Issue: Breach of Membership Service, False Advertising, Extreme Unprofessionalism, and Refusal of Service. Timeline: 3 days (Saturday, October 25th - Monday, October 27th, 2025) I signed a membership agreement with Royal Class Service in September 2025 based on their FALSE Google advertising of "24-Hour Emergency Service" (I have screenshots documenting this claim). My experience revealed this promise is a dangerous lie. Saturday, October 25th: The Initial Failure Called for emergency service when our heat went out. Received a text back after 10:00 PM informing me that no technician was available until the morning, effectively denying the advertised 24-hour emergency service. Result: The household, including a recent surgery patient and a child, spent the night without heat. Sunday, October 26th: Unprofessional Conduct Technician Craig arrived and was immediately confrontational and angry, stating he was not the on-call technician and complaining about being called in. He claimed we failed to inform them that the boiler would not turn on, which was false, that information was provided to the office. Following his rude and highly unprofessional demeanor, I asked for the boiler's serial and model numbers to contact the manufacturer (Rheem) myself. He became increasingly hostile and left the property. Monday, October 27th: Office Obstruction I attempted to contact the office multiple times that morning. After several attempts failed, I had to use a family member's phone, which connected immediately, indicating my number was likely screened or blocked. I secured a part lead from an outside vendor. The office needed to approve the purchase; despite being told the order was pending approval, the necessary action was not taken. Tuesday, October 28th: Office Obstruction and Cancellation I again attempted to contact the office multiple times that morning. After several attempts failed, I had to use a family member's phone, which connected immediately, indicating my number was likely screened or blocked. Chris (the only staff member who demonstrated professional manners) confirmed the purchase was approved and the part was ordered, promising service within 48 hours. 4:30 PM: Service Unilaterally Canceled. Project Manager David called to cancel the entire part order and sever all ties with us as customers, citing "rudeness and disrespect" as the reason. I explicitly told him I still required and wanted the overpriced service completed immediately due to the emergency nature, but that I would seek other contractors afterward. David refused to complete the paid service, even after I repeatedly informed him of the post-surgery patient and child in the freezing home. When I informed David I would report this experience to the news and file reviews, he falsely claimed I was "threatening" him and immediately hung up. Conclusion: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company is not only guilty of false advertising and employing unprofessional staff (Technician Craig), but their management (Project Manager David) made the egregious, unethical, and dangerous decision to abandon a customer who had been without heat for three days, refusing to complete a paid-for emergency repair, despite knowing the vulnerable situation of a post-surgery individual and a child. Their prioritization of a petty disagreement over human safety is unforgivable.
