Tried to sell us pallet of broken up rolls all dried out and brittle grass for full price. Said they'd send someone out to help us load. 45 minutes later a guy brought over a fresh pallet and we had to load ourselves while he sat in tractor. Well add me to the growing list of unhappy customers with The Sod Store . I gave them a call at the beginning of the spring about getting some sod installed and basically went back-and-forth for months about why they wouldn't show up. I understand it was a wet spring but I was watching other people get sod installed from the sod store. After continuing to call text and email throughout the entire summer I was finally able to get them to install sod in August, I mentioned that not being a good idea because it was so hot, but I was reassured that as long as I watered it, it would be fine. All of the grass was dead within a week and a half. Like others had stated I had called halfway through to have someone come take a look to see if there's anything I could do and no one ever showed up.So here I am with a dead backyard and out a couple thousand dollars. I'm not sure what happened to this company. They used to be really good and came highly regarded, but they are a far cry from that now. read more

1/4 of the sod we purchased was any good. They only give you 24 hours after it's laid down to get refund. 24 hours isn't enough time you need at least 1 week to know if it'll survive. Sod is a big investment to not be given good product. Will not recommend them to friends, family or business associates! read more

We had arranged to purchase sod to be laid on our property in Bella Vista from another company. After several promises to deliver the sod and failing to bring it, I contacted The Sod Store on April 22nd to obtain a different supplier. Tracy was most helpful in coordinating with the owners and arranged for Trent, one of the company's employees to help us. Trent pulled out all the stops and by 6 o'clock THAT SAME DAY our sod was delivered and professionally laid. Both Tracy and Trent were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!! Worst company to work with. Scheduled things nearly 2 weeks in advance, confirmed that things were going to be delivered when we scheduled a few days before and the day it was supposed to be delivered, it didn't show up by noon. I called in to see where things were and the old guy said that my sod would not be there till the next day. I said that it was disappointing and he said fine, I will cancel your whole order. Many others sod companies in the area that are a lot better to work with. read more
