I grew up in the city. My introduction to farm-life was when I was 17, in Mississippi. An boy did I…read moreever get an education. I learned that farm work is hard work, but full of joy, beauty, intrigue. Every day is another story to tell about an experience with the animals or in the wide-open fields. I think this is how I would describe Farmland Adventures. The employees are super friendly (from the owner down to the tracker driver), but obviously work hard to give everyone an enjoyable farm-experience.. The land is large & beautiful and full of intrigue. And everyone leaves with a story because they experienced animals they could touch or ride or feed or cheer for (they have pig races, y'all!!!), and they got to be in a wide open field that happens to have a HUGE corn maze, peddle carts, and outdoor farm-y things to do. All these stories could be told around a campfire they have for parties (if that interests you). I'm tell ya, if you live in NWA (or are visiting NWA in Sept--Oct), you have to do a day at Farmland Adventures. It truly is an adventure! As for COVID stuff, the employees wear or don't wear masks according to gov't regulations. People who come are welcome to wear a mask if they want, but are not required since it is outdoors (love that!). They sanitize regularly the poles & tables & such that people touch. I personally don't expect them to do all this because it is a farm -- stuff is dirty! But, I guess I like the extra care for those who care more than I do. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Great for all family members. Oh, and they have different events happening on different days, like "Mom's Day Out" on Thursdays that are less expensive for moms. Also, there is a military discount, as well as discounts for law enforcement & fire rescue. Really love they take care of those folks!

When you live in the "concrete jungle" you must make it a living, breathing space whenever possible. However, my dearest friend lives in NWA and often I want to buoy her spirits with flowers. Lately I have been terribly disappointed with the more typical floral arrangements that are available. And I detest the cheap glass containers that are produced by the millions and look so very blah. This time, rather than defaulting to another FTD florist, I went to Yelp and truly studied the comments made about each florist. I also looked at the photos that were available. It became instantly apparent that Flora and Pam Pemberton were very different in their approach and in the outcome for their clients. The picture of the flowers for Bailey was exactly what I had in mind - simple and yet gorgeous in that simplicity. I called Pam and her warmth radiated across the phone to me. We had a wonderful conversation about all things BUT flowers before we even started on the order! I had made a friend. She seemed to understand perfectly that I just did not want another cookie-cutter arrangement. When I hung up I felt as if I was in professional hands and that my order would be filled quickly and artistically. (Oh, did I forget to tell you that I called at the last minute? Yes, I called at 1:00 PM to see if I could still get a delivery that day! It did not phase her a bit) When my flowers arrived there were tears of joy and an appreciation for their artistic difference. The entire office was stunned by how very different and how beautiful they were. Pam even later sent a paragraph that helped us all know more about the artist who threw the pot that held the flowers. It turned out that the artist was an amazing woman in her own right and if Pam had not shared we would not have known. Thank you, Pam, for all that you did. You are now "My florist" in NWA.
