Came here needing a new outside faucet for a duplex of mine. I was actually needing just the stem inside the faucet to replace instead of replacing the whole outside faucet. I came inside got a friendly hello and was asked if I needed any help. John was the guy helping me out and took me to what I was looking for. Just the service itself was worth 5 stars!!!! This company has really good tools and appliances for a normal household. "I like" Unfortunately, the 26ft Uhaul rental my fiancé and I reserved a week out wasn't at the location. They wanted to send us fifteen minutes in the opposite direction we were moving to pick one up. We got lucky and someone pulled up in a 20ft bed to return it. Again 20ft, it wasn't what we wanted. We are still fortunate to be lucky someone returned one as we were leaving. Funny thing is, is that when we returned it, we saw a couple facing the same issues. Be mindful of this. read more

I've gone here a lot, over the years. They seem to stock pretty much everything a household could possibly need, for practical, day-to-day functioning. The prices are reasonable, the dogs are friendly, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Want more? How about a warm wood stove working on a cold day, popcorn, or snacks? Small cozy store. We love this old fashioned hardware store! It is stocked to the ceiling with everything one might need. . . or not! On wintry days, the wood stove emits a warmth that draws one over to find the roasted peanuts in a pan atop the stove. Friendly dogs who belong to the shopkeepers will greet you at the door with a ball, or just be sleeping in back. Beyond having a well stocked hardware store to browse, one can have a screen repaired there, rent a uHaul, buy seedlings in the spring or toss a ball for a happy dog. If you want a corporate, big box experience... this won't be the place to visit. If you enjoy people, animals and quality items... this is the place. read more

I came in needing a faucet adapter that was not standard. It took opening several packages and some time but Kirby joined 2 parts that created exactly what I needed!! I just moved here from Austin, TX. I was so glad to find an old fashion Hardware store where you can buy one bolt, not 20. I am a senior citizen and was looking for a nut and bolt that came off a Brenderup (Dutch) horse trailer. These guys spent a good twenty minutes helping me find it and I paid them the $0.37. I told them of another issue I couldn't figure out with the trailer and I couldn't completely describe the issue and they said bring it by and they would advise me. I brought the trailer by 2 days later and they took a look and they actually found the solution and fixed it for me and only charged me for the 4 nuts and bolts required. Trent and Clint are great young men and the owner got involved. I thought that kind of service had disappeared until I found Johnson's Hardware in Fayetteville. read more

We had a plumbing issue and went to Johnson's Hardware store at the recommendation of a friend. When we entered the store, we were accosted by 2 or 3 dogs large barking dogs who enjoy storming the door any time a customer appears. They apparently are part of the hardware store culture - warning you to stay way and head to Lowe's or Home Depot or anywhere but this shady place. We endured to dogs to make our purchases. Fast forward 15 days, we found ourselves returning our purchases because (no surprise) the nice man who helped us did not know what he was talking about and had sold us items we did not need. So I was returning them. Again, the dogs barking and storming the door upon entry. Only to be told they have a mysterious 2 week policy and will not take returns past the 14 day period of time. Even if the items were obviously never used (in original packaging, etc.). In short, they lost a potential customer over an $8 purchase because they suck. Avoid this place at all costs! read more
