Great store. Just enough to find what you need by not be overwhelmed by the big box shock. Because smaller stores like this have less, they curate only the best products, and very often even unique products not found elsewhere. Prices are still pretty close to the big guys. And if You've got a chainsaw or gas blower, etc, they are the best in the region with a dedicated shop for this. read more

Extremely disappointing Stihl service - Took an older and highly valued saw to them for a cleaning and tune. After a month, they still had "not gotten to it" Went to pick it up since they couldn't get time (and I found somebody else to clean it up) - and was given a BOX OF PARTS. They said they hadn't worked on it - - yet - I gave them a complete saw, I got a box of parts back! (and they then added that "They could sell me a new one") I'm speechless at this. That saw has seen our family through tough times, and saved us from downed and leaning trees around the house - and now it's a box of parts. Zero Stars. read more

Called to see how long it's going to be on my mower being serviced. As clerk goes to hang up she starts mocking me to her coworkers.

Due to disability, I don't drive and since this store is within walking distance from my home I decided to try it. I purchased a Stanley tape measure and several set screws from the hardware bin. The tape measure is fine and actually cheaper than Home Depot. Unfortunately I returned the set screws because I wasn't sure what size I needed. I was refunded my money but the guy acted like I was a waste of time and didn't offer to help me find the correct size screws. The website is a joke. I typed in "toolbox" and "workbench" and the only results even after filtering numerous times were Stihl chainsaws and some gardening tools. If I didn't have to deal with the bad attitude I would probably go back. read more

I have been using the hardware store for many years for my landscape company. I have always had positive experiences. I was shocked to see the extremely negative reviews that some have left on here. And can only assume that those negative experiences posted here are problems related to those particular customers and not the store employees and products. I personally will go out of my way to buy or get service from the hardware store instead of other larger businesses because the service has always been better here. read more

As a business owner of a tree company, I have spent thousands of dollars at this particular hardware store; my previous rental had issues and was refunded, upon renting the next time, the pole saw did not work and despite agreeing the chain looked good before leaving, when I arrived at the job I had set to do in a neighboring city, the pole saw did not work. So I had to put a bar and chain of mine on it to be able to finish the job. Upon returning, I explained the situation and how it cost me time, that I wanted a free future rental in hopes to continue doing business with the Hardware Store after two failed rentals. When that was proposed they requested I bring the bar and chain back which I agreed to do I would just have to get it from my work truck at a different location first but they could have the bar and chain that was currently on it as collateral in the mean time. I agreed and said "that's fine but I want a free rental." which was met with me being told they would rather refund the charge and I not come back. Very poor customer service, very poor communication and understanding of the tools they sell. would not reccomend. Will be going to Williams Tractor from now on read more

I bought a Orbital sander from them on 8/1/2022. My son used it for less than 6 hours and it broke. We took it back before noon on 8/2/2022. They said too bad. Talk to dewalt. I chose to give these yahoos my business because I support local. These guys will never get another penny from me or my construction company. They do not care about the customer. They keep the $75 and I'll give my $$$'s to other businesses which care. Don't make a mistake and do business with these people. read more

Bought a new chainsaw from this store last week and on the first tree I cut my chain went full and stretched out like a bad one does! So I go back and wanting to return this chainsaw and they go well we can't take it back in this condition! This store needs better training when it comes to stihl products and knowledge because me asking questions when I bought it I felt like I did better looking at google! Neat store, I could wander around for hours. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I've been in the store 4 times and have never been asked if I needed help. The only purchase I've made required me to find an employee and ask for help. Unfortunately that employee knew nothing about Stihl products. I have had great luck with Stihl brand products and was now looking for a chainsaw. Only two dealers I found were The Hardware Store and a location in Tontitown. I took my time and went to both places to compare prices. The employees at THS were fantastic and very polite. They asked if I needed help, answered my questions and even demonstrated the features. Then I went to Tontitown. Three employees at the counter standing there gossiping. I was only customer there. Was there for five minutes looking at saws and they clearly saw me and never offered to help. Needless to say I went back to THS and bought the saw. I will definitely keep going back there in the future for anything I need. Again, I'm 61 and it was so appreciated to be so well treated by those young men. read more

I have been in 4-5 times and the experience is poor. Nobody asks if they can help and you are left to wander around the narrow aisles hoping to find it. I called in and asked for an item and was told "No I do not, thanks for calling." Click. True Value is my new to go place. Not a local store for the individual. From a visit to have mechanical work done on my home lawn equipment, I was told that "contractors" and people who make a living from lawn service are top priority." While I respect that, I asked the manager and, I think the individual who owns the store, why this is the case. I could not get a solid answer why they are more important and take priority over the residential guy. But, when I was told it could take two (2) weeks to repair my equipment, something does not seem right. So, if contractors just happen to come in every day, my work order slips even further behind? What has just happened to "true" customer service? With this policy, it is evident they value the "contractor" more than a non-contractor and i will probably never go back to this store.. They have made it clear that I should spend my money at the big box stores. Notes: I purchased a mower and have had other lawn equipment maintenance done by this store in the past and it was never brought up or was the contractor v. non-contractor ever an issue. Maybe, I am at fault for making such an issue and should have let it go, but the manager and owner thought I was making to much of issue with it. At the end we all lost, I lost a repair to my equipment and they lost a customer that is going to the web to complain about a local business that people should be praising. Also, I am going to the manufacturer of my equipment to place a complaint about it as we'll. So, who really cares? Obviously, not the local mom and pop store. read more

I recently brought my Stihl chainsaw here for repair. They called me weeks later with a quote that was too much for me to want to pay to fix the old saw. However, when I went to pick up my saw I noticed that the handle was completely broken off of it! They tried to tell me they didn't break it when they obviously did, and then tried to charge me a $25 diagnostic fee. I had to wait around an hour for them to try to fix the handle (unsuccessfully by the way) and then I had to fight to not pay the $25. They literally broke my machine and tried to charge me for it. This business is unworthy of the Stihl name. read more
