The community is very accepting of all people and has an ethnically diverse population. The schools have great ratings and there are still decent business prospects in the community. The Chamber of Commerce is very active and sponsors a local Affton Days Parade and Festival every year. There is a nice mix of long time residents and young families. You can't get more Midwest than the City of Affton. Come enjoy a little taste of big city living in small town atmosphere.

Since it took a little longer to get my paperwork from the dealership then of course, when I finally do, it was close to my vacation time that I only had 2 days to complete the registration. I didn't need new plates as I transferred my previous one and still have valid sticker til 2027. When I got there, the place was packed. They have check-in kiosks where you may choose the service you need and enter in your phone number. Also, a human is present to help you if you aren't sure what to choose as a "service." They text you when it's close to your turn and call your name as well. I didn't leave the facility. There were only 3 people ahead of me getting registration done so it went somewhat faster (15-minute wait). When I was finally called, Gabby helped me. She was friendly but not chatty which is good. She was quick and respected my privacy by writing down the amount I needed to pay on a sticky note and handed it to me. I heard a couple clerks blurt out the number. No one needs to know which is why I preferred Gabby's method. I wrote the check and she did the rest. I bought an EV so I told her I needed the Missouri tax sticker (definitely NOT a reward for being environmentally conscious) and she got me that as well. Less than $75 for the sticker, it's good for the year. I forgot to ask though if this is something that I can get online and mailed to me like my re-registration. While I don't mind coming here, I'd hate to have to do it every year just to get a sticker. Anyway, it was a successful visit and I was able to do everything in less than an hour. So thankful as I would have had to pay the late registration fee when I got back from vacation.

You're not allowed to eat food in the pool area, only by the concession stand, so don't be surprised if a lifeguard calls you (or your kid) out for having food in the pool area. Highly recommend!

I had all my documentation on hand, filled out and just waiting to be signed. The 'passport agent' on duty told me they were booked and she could not assist. When there were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE FACILITY! I addressed the sign on the wall which showed the times for walk in appointments. This government employee would not budge. In the time she was arguing with me, my passport submission could have been completed. This facility does not provide service, they cultivate laziness and seem to relish in it. Avoid this hell-hole at all costs.

There's no one inside, but you can usually walk in and put your package in a mailbox. This location closed at 1:30 today and I was walking in at about 6pm, yet there was a postal woman working hard cleaning and scrubbing the windows and interior. She was so kind to me and said I could just set it on top of the desk because it was much too big to fit in the mailboxes -- even though the post office was 5 hours past closing. She then went behind the desk and scanned the item for me and put it back in the bigger bins. I thought this was a really kind gesture, because some post offices aren't even unlocked past their closing hours -- yet this woman took a decent bit of time out of her day to help me. I will be back if possible!!
