At first I thought, "Well, I want beautiful invites but they don't need to be amazing. It's just paper." Wrong. After my first time looking at a Martha Stewart bridal magazine I whipped out my calculator and wondered where in my budget I'd find that extra GRAND for custom, letterpress, heavyweight paper invites. With ribbons. Calligraphy. Maybe even a BUTTERFLY would fly out like in Bridesmaids. That was Bride Brain taking over. A few clicks of the keypad and I realized I would not have butterflies or letterpress (certainly no puppy favors either). I took to the web and started searching, but nothing was really that great. Then comes some of my bride friends on Twitter posting about their amazing, custom invites that were crafted by a LOCAL biz. That was certainly something I could get into. I peeked at their goods at a bridal show I went to, then after seeing my Twitter-friends invites I got in touch with Rust Belt Love. Alyson is such a sweetheart, she's just someone cool that I'm glad to say was a vendor part of my big day. Our initial meeting was casual, we talked a bit about what I wanted my wedding to be like. We talked wedding "rules" and whatnot. I knew I had to have Alyson help me out with my invites! The process is simple, I threw out some vague words and ideas "English garden", "lavender", "pretty"... then she came up with three lovely designs. I again responded simply and then Alyson created an amazing design. So perfect. Then the proofs- awesome paper, she used somewhat sparkly paper for the under layer. Lovely. The colors were spot on and the paper looked and felt great. Mailing out my invites was painless... (besides being a bit behind schedule on my end... oops!) since they printed my return address on the back flap and I opted for calligraphy. So many friends and family gushed about how beautiful they were after receiving them, which was fantastic. The invites are a guests first impression of the big day, so I was so pleased that they got an awesome invite to introduce them. Our RSVP cards also had a bit of a "non traditional" RSVP option which so many people found to be adorable. I am so happy I was able to get the gorgeous invites I really wanted for my big day. Even more, I'm glad I got to support a cool lady and her local biz! I will continue to recommend them to all future brides I run in to!

We considered many options and the sheer number of variables was a bit overwhelming. Then we discovered Elope Niagara Little Log Wedding Chapel. Everything on the website looked great, but we wondered whether they would be LGBT friendly. Then we noticed their Same-Sex Gallery which answered that question. We booked in March for an October wedding and right from the beginning, they were very prompt and professional in responding to us. We had some special needs and they were very accommodating. We signed the contract for the Classic #3 Package and sent the very reasonable deposit. All questions were answered right away. On the day of the wedding, everything went as planned. It had seemed like a lot to get done in less than an hour, but Kathy and Kim had clearly developed a system that made the wedding special without feeling rushed. Our more than 50 photo proofs came more quickly than expected. They were so great that we couldn't choose just the 15 included in our package. They offered us the complete set at a very reasonable price, so, we got them all. My husband and I recommend Elope Niagara Little Log Wedding Chapel to any couple who wants to make it official at a very reasonable price.

They also provided very helpful, detailed instructions about the drive to the venue, which made things more stress-free. We chose the Classic 2 package, which meant the ceremony was about 10 minutes long, and the photography session lasted roughly 20 minutes. Kathy navigated us through the ceremony and took such great photos! She sent us contact sheets afterwards with all of our photo options so we could choose our favorites as part of the package. They were so good that we opted to purchase extras! We're thrilled with the experience and would recommend it to anyone!

We initially met Carla at Château du Feÿ, where she was employed. After a disappointing experience with another planner, we hired Carla 5 months before our wedding, hoping her 3+ years of specialized venue expertise would be invaluable. To our surprise, Carla had not worked with half of our vendors before - even though they were part of the short list of recommended vendors provided by the venue. Despite her website's claims, Carla's design suggestions felt generic and lacked the personalized touch we were looking for. Carla's lack of attention to detail became increasingly apparent as we worked with her. Our wedding had many unique and custom details. Lots of information that a seasoned wedding planner would be able to keep an attentive handle on. The mounting oversights caused significant stress in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. We were genuinely anxious that our vision wouldn't be realized. Luckily, we had multiple vendors and family friends that helped Carla execute the event. As the bride, I distanced myself as much as possible from Carla to allow myself to enjoy the day without frustration. This is not the typical experience. While we appreciate Carla's willingness to take us on with short notice, and she did have some helpful insights regarding sourcing a local florist and unique videographers, her lack of attention to detail ultimately overshadowed those positives. Feel free to message me if you have questions about our experience.

It's a big space with upstairs balconies, chandeliers, and large round tables. The food was grand. The fingerfood offered before the meal was the most I have ever seen available... (The selection could have been from the wedding package they chose) but I can promise you, it was plentiful and delicious!! So many selection of cheese, fondue, hummus, vegetables, crackers, bread, fruits, etc. It was awesome. The main meal was serves as a buffet and everything was hot and there were also many selections to choose from. The food was very good in my opinion. The bride told me that the planner was very easy to work with and it was a pleasant experience putting everything together with them for her big day! Overall, it was a great place for a wedding (specifically the reception). I would suggest to take a look here as a venue if you are planning a wedding in the near future!

Now the minister did a great job but what was given to us as perks was laughable. We were told that we would receive a complimentary bottle of champagne. I was expecting a "real" bottle of champagne. We were given what I equated to an "airplane bottle". I also should point out the plastic champagne glasses that we were given. Extremely ridiculous when I know that the minister only received $100 of the $300. So I asked myself, what the HELL did the other $200 go to? We were also given a bible with memorable information inscribed inside it. I should mention the bible was white and had noticeable spots where "white out" had been applied. I could hardly believe it myself. We were told the types of ceremonies they offered but were never actually asked what we preferred. I would honestly not recommend this company if you're considering a wedding at Niagara Falls. Sincerely, A Very Dissatisfied Customer.

She knew every detail of our entire wedding weekend, she flawlessly executed my ceremony and venue decor set-ups in concert with our venue's banquet coordinator and she kept our entire bridal party on schedule the entire day. When I would think of something, I would turn to Shannon to say it, but she had already handled it.
