Served on soft tortilla shells, chicken tenders were deep fried perfection, and nestled on a bed of lettuce, fresh diced jalapeño, bacon and cheese. Topped with Mexican crema, cowboy caviar. We initially met Carla at Château du Feÿ, where she was employed. After a disappointing experience with another planner, we hired Carla 5 months before our wedding, hoping her 3+ years of specialized venue expertise would be invaluable. To our surprise, Carla had not worked with half of our vendors before - even though they were part of the short list of recommended vendors provided by the venue. Despite her website's claims, Carla's design suggestions felt generic and lacked the personalized touch we were looking for. Carla's lack of attention to detail became increasingly apparent as we worked with her. Our wedding had many unique and custom details. Lots of information that a seasoned wedding planner would be able to keep an attentive handle on. The mounting oversights caused significant stress in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. We were genuinely anxious that our vision wouldn't be realized. Luckily, we had multiple vendors and family friends that helped Carla execute the event. As the bride, I distanced myself as much as possible from Carla to allow myself to enjoy the day without frustration. This is not the typical experience. While we appreciate Carla's willingness to take us on with short notice, and she did have some helpful insights regarding sourcing a local florist and unique videographers, her lack of attention to detail ultimately overshadowed those positives.
