Coming from NYC, when my husband and I started planning our Buffalo wedding, we went off our venue's recommendations and reviews. Toy bro's was one of the recommendations from Avanti Mansion. We had them for our ceremony, reception, and also booked their Photo Booth. They made sure the processional music went smoothly, and started playing the songs at the exact time I asked them to. During the reception, they played songs our guests didn't really know - but that's more my fault of not being more specific of the crowd/demographic's taste in music during the week before consultation. Tip for those still planning your weddings: give genres and SPECIFIC artists you want the DJ to play throughout the night! The absolute highlight of everyone's night was the Photo Booth, which was manned by Jeff's dad, Chris (?? It was loud and hard to hear - sorry if I got his name wrong!). He was so sweet giving us ideas on how to pose for the different shots, made sure everyone got a copy of photos, put together the ENTIRE scrapbook for us, AND made sure everyone signed/write a message for us. The scrapbook was we filled from front to back with messages and photos, and it's something we will cherish and look back on for the rest of our lives. As a couple not from Buffalo, Toy Bros were super easy to work and communicate with even without being in person. read more

The best DJ group in Buffalo! I had Gregg for my wedding. We were able to meet with him prior to go over the plan and music for the evening. He was very professional and gave great recommendations. For our wedding reception he played great music that got everyone dancing. We also selected the Photo Booth which our guests loved and now we have access to all of their photos. Toy brothers was amazing to work with and did a great job making sure everyone had fun at our wedding. Our DJ was super engaged, made sure to play all requests and was able to "read" the room when it came to playing music. We're so happy we went with Toy Bros for our wedding this summer! Ken crushed it!! He was lovely to work with and he walked us through every step of the process leading up to the wedding. He was so kind and adaptive and he always checked in with us. He spent time speaking with us beforehand and answered my texts leading up to the wedding with some last minute changes on our end. We asked him to play a few Greek songs which he was unfamiliar with, but he seemed like he'd been working Greek weddings all along! He kept the dance floor rockin' and he made us feel extremely comfortable, heard, and respected. There was a special song we wanted to play for my father-in-law and Ken noticed he wasn't in the reception area, so he waited until he came back to play it. Ken's daughter did the photo booth for us, also from Toy Bros, and it was a hit! Guests loved it and we got a hard drive and a beautiful book with the pictures afterwards! read more

My Fiance and I hired Toy Bros for our wedding. We were both devastated when the Corona Virus hit and the Venue was force to cancel our wedding. All of our vendors reached out and were very sympathetic. They all offered us a refund of the money we spent. Knowing its not possible to schedule anything without an end in sight Toy Bros refused to refund us our money and instead kept our deposit. Any reputable vendor would refund money that is not theirs. I wish I would have check these review before giving them a deposit. With all the options you have, why pick someone that treats people like this. Money is all they care about! read more

Based on the NYE Ice Ball in Buffalo: I would not recommend this DJ. Read these poor reviews and do not fall for his business or the facade of hip bright green headphones. He had bad transitions and was inexperienced at beat matching. Most transitions were abrupt and off-tempo. I'd recommend for him to ditch the laptop and learn how to adjust BPM, hot cue and pre-que tracks for a real mix. In today's era of bedroom DJs and YouTube it doesn't require much to learn how to blend tracks and loop songs for a simultaneous mix. Worst of all, he would not listen to guests and would not play their track requests, essentially emptying the dance floor repeatedly. He seemed too busy taking requests from his girlfriend who most likely got in for free, rather than focusing on his job. read more

I hired Toy Brothers to provide DJ services, photo booth services and up-lighting for my wedding. Based on what I heard word of mouth about them (and considering it was my wedding) I was very excited for the night to get underway. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in their service. On three occasions during the wedding the dance floor was packed and the DJ followed up this excitement with a song that practically emptied the dance floor on two of the occasions and totally emptied the dance floor on the third occasion. He was not under any strict guidelines to play specific music and I think the only thing I asked not be played was the chicken dance. Regardless of these hiccups, the party was still rocking and he managed to not empty the floor again for the last hour of the night. Regarding the photo booth, they do a very nice job putting together a scrap book of everyone that participates, however, the DJ didn't do a good job reminding people to pay the booth a visit. The up-lighting was a waste of money. Prior to my wedding they tried to sell me additional lights and told me that we had not purchased enough lights (18 of them) to really make the room pop. The truth is, their lights weren't powerful enough for the large room and just didn't have the effect I expected them too. read more

Don't fall for reviews posted by others that criticize their services which get deleted. I had an event where the PhotoBooth guy was supposed to stay due to down time but he leftan hour early. They are just concerned about money and the people who work for them are obnoxiously rude. It makes me sad because their photobooth was of low quality and I chose them based on reviews. We asked them for backgrounds, all they provided was black curtains. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone. I didn't even receive an apology, which kind of makes you upset because it shows the lack of customer service skills. read more

We have used Toy Bros for several company events. They are always professional and super fun and provide great entertainment for everyone in attendance. Photo Booth layouts are always custom and specific for our event and business branding! And we love several of the DJ's!! read more

Horrible service and low quality photo booths that looked like they were made out of paper. Outdated signs for guests to hold and crappy service from the worker slouching while tending the booth and ran off mid way and packed up the booth during my reception even though he owed me an hour of downtime but I didn't want to say anything because the worker already seemed so agitated that I was afraid he would cause a scene when he approached me while I was in the middle of a toast at my wedding reception. He knew it was the perfect opportunity to run off because there's no way I'm running after him in my dress. The photo booth pics that was printed out looked like it belonged to a kids party. So disappointed that a company takes advantage of people on the most special day of their lives. Sad to see that this has happened to others in the past reviews. read more

We went with this DJ company for our wedding becasue I had seen their DJs at other events and thought they were great. The owner met with us and reviewed our must play and don't play list - and they did stick to it! No chicken dance or electric slides for me please! They were great with annoucements and worked with us to ensure great sound. Our wedding was at a huge armory that wasn't equipped with any sound. He made sure to bring the right amps and equipment needed to make it perfect. The dance floor was overflowing all night! read more

I rarely write negative reviews, but this time I really have to. We hired Toy Brothers entertainment to DJ our reception and run a photo booth for our wedding in October. Let me say that the photo booth, run by Briana, was fantastic. The rest of this review is in no way is a reflection on the service and professionalism show by Briana. She was wonderful! Now, the DJ portion...we spent a long time putting together our "play-list" and each selection was very important to us. I expressed this to Jeff and also wanted to set-up a time to talk about the kind of music we wanted. Several emails went unanswered and long story short, we never had that talk. We were referred and also read the reviews (the negative ones that now I read and think "yep...this was us too"). After submitting the forms, I assumed all would be well and decided that the DJ would be able to ascertain our style. It was fairly simple direction, in addition to specifically listed songs, the direction included to: play as much MJ as you want; heavy on the Motown, no modern country, etc. etc. This brings us to our wedding reception when, as we arrived and our guests were enjoying cocktail hour, I was pulled aside and told that the DJ was not yet there (45 min before the start of the reception). After enlisting my brother to call and find out what was going on, he returned, many calls later, and said he was told that the DJ was "on his way." Then I was told 20 min before (still no DJ) that we had some options -as my guests were walking into the ballroom- we could get the ipod out of the limo and hook it up to the system at the reception and do our own music or we could wait for the thousand dollar DJ to show up. Only 10 min before the bridal party was to be announced, did our little friend walk in the door stating that he was pulled over twice and that's why he was so late. Fine...whatever, deep breath, everything would be totally fine, right? He has our list; he has arrived; he'll be fine. Water under the bridge. Do I need to tell you about how the only songs that he had ready to go were our introduction song and first dance. Thank God. The rest, oh the rest of the songs we carefully selected all had to be specially requested (at least 4 of them he did not have) so that we could hear them. For example...he did not have Prince, not random Prince, but 'Let's Get Crazy', Prince. The 'style' was not understood at all ...what about "heavy on the MJ and Motown" would lead one to believe that with the dance floor packed and everyone ready to party following the first dance, to play Lynyrd Skynyrd? Hello clear dance floor! And so it went for the rest of the night... personal requests (from the prearranged lists) to the DJ = party time; next song of DJ's choice= clear the floor. I could go on...and on...and on. Thankfully, none of our guests noticed, except for the insanely loud screaming announcing our wedding party. It was so loud that one of our guests downloaded an app to register decibels, and it was astonishing. My now husband, my brother and I, however spent the night directing the DJ, suggesting songs that would make people want to dance and all around trying not to let it ruin what was a great evening. We are not rich. There was a lot of money spent on this service from Toy Bros and I can say without hesitation that we were utterly disappointed. Think twice. HOWEVER, again, the photo booth with Brianna at the helm, was awesome. Brianna was on-time (early, in fact), fun, flexible, organized and all our guests complimented us on her attitude. read more

ToyBros did an amazing job at our wedding in Hamburg, NY! Since we live in Washington, D.C., it was important to us to work with someone that was very communicative and Jeff was great! Quick to respond on emails and we had a few calls to discuss how everything would go. The DJ at our wedding (sorry, forgot his name) was great as well! We had a song that we didn't realize was 9minutes long and the DJ was able to make it 3 minutes with a good fade in/out. Also used them for the uplighting and it turned out beautifully! Did not show up for wedding ceremony. I had filled out forms for my ceremony music and sent MORE than 2 emails inquiring and discussing ceremony music to be provided by them. They did not show up to the ceremony and I was informed right before walking down the aisle. I was livid during my entire wedding ceremony. When confronted, they took no accountability. I had assumed they had put a space to mark the place and time of ceremony on their form but there was not and this was my error. They dropped the ball because I literally sent numerous emails about ceremony music and completed a page on their form telling them what songs I wanted for the processional and recessional. I feel the owner is lazy and didn't take the time to ensure exactly what I wanted. How could one overlook those multiple emails? The reception music was good; I made an entire list of songs that I wanted played so it didn't require much effort on their part. I provided extra props for the photo booth and they took those from me as well. Will make sure people will know about my experience and deter them from using Toy Bros. read more

We had such a great time at our wedding, and choosing Toy Bros was a huge part of that. There was a giant line at the Photo booth all night, and the dance floor was packed the whole time! Jeff was so easy to work with, and the price was very fair for what we received. We got a USB of all the photos from the photobooth at the end of the night, and we still love looking at all the pics! My company hired this vendor for their photo booth services for a large event we do annually in Buffalo, NY. They are the most unprofessional people I have ever worked with. On the busiest day of the event the photo attendant left the event without telling me and returned 6 hours later. His excuse was he was "double booked" at another event down the road. A call was placed to the owner and the issue went unresolved for several days. When the owner finally did talk to someone at our company he was down right nasty and insulting. He called us liars and told us his EE did not have to stand near the booth as that is "awkward". Isn't that the whole point of hiring them?! To have someone run the booth so we can focus on our business? I guess not in his eyes. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this company and will never use them again in the future. read more

This company does not follow through on their agreed upon contracts, treats customers with disrespect and has no concept of customer service. The agreement that was set up was not followed. I was lied to and dismissed when voicing my concerns. The worst customer service experience I have had with a vendor as of yet. read more
