The buffet was set up on the side with room to go by on both sides. Enough choices to not leave hungry: beef, breaded chicken, pasta, mashed potatoes and salad. The food all tasted great. The room had an industrial look. Maybe because of that (concrete columns and ceiling) the acoustics were not great. The music was no problem but understanding a speaker using a microphone was not great.

The spreads included a chopped olive tapas, a apricot mostarda and a caramelized onion dish. These could be enjoyed on the toast points or along with the roasted garlic goat cheese. There was also a cash bar. The event was a way for several merchants to display their wares, among them Blue Table Chocolates, Tommyrotter Distillery, Rebel Ride and several artisans. The wait staff was great, replenishing the various platters and serving trays of tasty mini-potato pancakes and boneless chicken wing bites throughout the evening. They also picked up plates, cans and bottles, taking them back to the kitchen for disposal vs. there being many unsightly trash cans throughout the room. I am amazed that the space was an old Sears. The space was beautifully designed, well thought out and is now a destination instead of turning into another abandoned building. In addition to the event center attached is the BFLO store, a hair salon, Chruscicki Bakery, Simply Pierogi and Sto Lat. The space itself is perfect for a wedding or your next big event. It is a large open and airy room with darker wood floors, light walls and furniture and gorgeous crystal chandelier and snowflake accent lighting. The interior design is very modern and elegant with touches of Buffalo subtly added in. Great lighting, tons of parking and a huge bar. To the back of the room are doors which take you to a hallway that connects to the other businesses in the complex. The hallway is large enough to accommodate mingling of overflow guests from the event center.

They make their pasta homemade, and you can definitely tell! We finished off our meal with their molten lava cake and ice cream. They have a quite large fully covered area to the side of the main building, plus then another patio area with tables that have umbrellas. Their pizza is excellent and done in an outdoor pizza oven. They do have other items (mains, salads, appetizers), that are prepared in their main kitchen. One thing we have noticed is that things are taking a bit longer in the Covid world. This is we assume due to precautions taken with cleaning etc. So -- do be patient and just enjoy. We find that they always have some interesting cocktails with their wine as a basis, and some are available in pitcher size as well as by the glass! Reservations for the patio are available via the TouchBistroDine app. You won't find them on OpenTable. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Parking is available at the back and on the side. You do need to have face masks until you get to your table.

Expanded - Next to the FLW Darwin Martin House is the Greatbatch Pavilion. This large open space has various pieces of historical info about the Darwin Martin House, but it also provides a venue for a cocktail party (up to 150), a formal sit down dinner (up to 100) or a lecture space. I like this space because it is long, open and has unobstructed views throughout. You can really see what is happening from anywhere in the space. You will overlook the Darwin Martin House from this (mostly windows) space. Its an unobstructed view. Gorgeous day or night. The restrooms are modern and functional. There is a space for coatracks, or you can have a coat check. I'm not sure if there is a choice of caterers, but the food I have had at a few events has been good. The service professional and unobtrusive. Its available 7 days a week for rentals. While they don't do weddings or wedding receptions here, they are open for anything else, including the rehearsal dinner. It unique and beautiful. You can decorate to make it "your own" too.
