Because of a mix-up at work, we arrived about an hour late. It was clear that almost everyone was done eating or at least finishing. However, the food at the buffet was still hot and fresh. There weren't any apparently available seats at the set tables (it was hard to tell where people were sitting) so we ended up sitting at an unset table right next to the set tables. I was a little surprised that none of the servers seemed to notice that we had sat down and were eating but were missing many of the things from the regular settings. No one asked if we needed water or coffee, and we were completely skipped over when they served cake. In all fairness though, we did arrive an hour late and, with people mingling, it would be hard to know whether we had just arrived or whether we had simply moved from our table to chat with others. That single complaint aside, the food was good, the space was lovely, and the family members who organized the shower had nothing but good things to say about having had it here. (In fact, they had switched from another venue to this one.) I'm a firm believer in reviews that give you the big picture experience. And that I think that experience here is 5 stars. The main party space is a converted barn. It's rustic and elegant all at the same time. For the wedding there was also a huge tent outside with easy access between the two. Not sure how the food choices are made but we had roasted vegetables, red skin potatoes, pasta with red sauce, sliced sausage with peppers and onions and chicken. Salad and rolls were also served. The only downfall (and I'm hoping this is a faux pas only until the construction is complete) is the lack of accessibility. There are no ramps to get inside the building or from the entrance into the bar/restaurant venue. I was surprised that we had to request flatware with dessert and that there wasn't an option for coffee or tea. That being said, tonight's local chef/business was Tony's Supper Club. I enjoyed The Big Hello cocktail to start and since I wanted to order one of everything on the menu, I got 2 appetizers, an entree to eat for my meal, an entree to bring home for tomorrow, and dessert. The Fungi "Cappuccino" was deliciously creamy. My only gripe was that I needed a spoon and more bread to sop up every bit of goodness. The Caramelized Figs with creamy Goat cheese and spicy arugula was the perfect combination of flavors. For my main entree, I ordered the Wild Boar Ragu. The buccatini pasta was al dente, the ragu was well-seasoned (another part of dinner that needed just a nip of bread for sopping) and it was tough not to lick the plate clean. The second entree was the bison, only because my friend wouldn't stop raving about the duck confit potatoes. lol I ate one (even though I'm *stuffed*) and they are really good - but needed salt. For dessert, even though I've had it before, I had to go back for the chocolate panna cotta. The chocolate is insanely rich, the Hazelnut brown butter added flavor and crunch, and just a half scoop more of the ice cream would have been perfect. So I just had a lettuce leaf and 2 thin slices of beef (ebough for a slider sammie), a small scoop of goat cheese topped with some beets which was super yummy but no crackers or anything with it. Andd could not eat the dessert. The bartenders were super nice and took very good care of us. I would say go and try it and ask about where to park if u plan on a med sized event. The food was also fantastic! We just had a regular dinner buffet with baked chicken, roast beef and sides, but everything was very tasty! The star of the meal was the chef selection of mini desserts! Everyone raved about it and everything was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten those lemon bars all weekend. The thing that put everything over the top was the courtyard. Everyone did not see it as soon as they came in but once they did venture outside, no one wanted to come back in. Good thing the program part of the banquet was already over. We took wonderful pictures. The fire pit was lit, and everyone just wanted to stay for as long as possible. I only wish we could have stayed past 10. The only downside was the A/V. But i think if you are bringing your own speakers and things, it would be fine. All in all, I would absolutely, unquestionably refer this space to anyone looking to have an event. We never needed a contract and squared up with the Manager Nick T. Prior to using the space. We have always rented the space for the same time duration. This year the Italian club decided to stock and man the bar in the room. We usually use it to hold our lunch pizza or sandwiches but we were told "No" because it was a bar. We did not ask for this. Out Sale goes from 10 am to 2 pm. Our customers as well as ourselves don't attend this event to drink. They made NO money. Maybe that's why the next thing happened.... 3 of our women who handled the check out for the sale were the last to leave after we cleaned up the space. They were accosted at the door as they were leaving. The Manager Nick chased after shaking them down for more money for the space stating " we went 2 hours over the agreed time according to the contract and wanted another $150 or he would call the Police. ". These poor ladies felt threatened and intimidated but asked to see the contract since the person in charge of renting from our organization had already left. Well it was a gentlemens agreement with no contract, but nonetheless the Manager went and typed up a contract and demanded they sign it or Police would be involved. Our representative didn't want any trouble, signed and wrote a check out for another $150. We will NEVER go back to this club and from this day forward will always do a contract. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TREATMENT

This venue is deceptive from the outside; it is much more spacious than you would imagine! The large room can hold nearly 300 people and the smaller room about half that number. I was impressed that the cost of rental included all of the set up/take down for tables (round or rectangle, your choice) and chairs; unlike our venue of last year. We were allowed early access and had the entire day to set the room for Trivia, the raffle and dinner. The kitchen is spacious, well appointed and clean! Grace, the manager, was beyond helpful! She loaned us a number of dishes, put flowers on the tables, made the coffee and even helped advertise the event to their regular BINGO people! I could see this Club as a place for weddings, with it's lovely wooden bar, large rooms and parking lot, and grove at the back. The Lake Erie Italian Club is a gem....and so is Grace!

They sold out of the chicken Shawarma and beef kebab dinners! And they have one more days to go tomorrow, Sunday for the final festival day. I heard they had 7000 people in attendance their first day Friday yesterday! Wow. The food was amazing. I had a chicken Shawarma wrap. The beef kafta dinner with rice and hummus and tabouli on the side was amazing. So delicious! The atmosphere was lively and relaxing. There was a Lebanese singer on stage, and a little later members of the community began dancing. It appeared to be the traditional Dabke Dance style, which is native to Lebanon and Palestine. Very upbeat and fun to watch. The Maronite Church takes its name from Saint Maron, a 4th-century Syrian monk whose holiness and miracles attracted many followers. After his death, his disciples established a monastery that became the spiritual center of the Maronite community. Today, the Maronite Church is one of 23 Eastern Catholic Churches in full communion with Rome, with over 3 million faithful worldwide.
