A Dream Wedding, Made Effortless, thanks to Melissa and Simple Celebrations!…read more Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Melissa and her team at Simple Celebrations turned what could have been a stressful process into something truly joyful. From the very beginning, Melissa took the time to listen, really listen, to our hopes, ideas, and vision. She then used her deep well of experience, creativity, and calm confidence to guide us every step of the way. Melissa is more than just a planner, she's a partner, a problem-solver, and a visionary. Her impeccable taste and design eye brought our wedding to life in a way that felt personal, elegant, and unforgettable. But what impressed us most was her ability to anticipate our needs before we even realized we had them. That level of foresight and attention is rare and absolutely priceless. Throughout the planning process and especially on the big day, Melissa was attentive, professional, and full of fresh ideas. She handled every detail with grace, allowing us to be fully present and soak in the magic of our wedding without worry. Everything flowed seamlessly because Melissa was running the show--and we knew we were in the best possible hands. We are endlessly grateful for her talent, poise, and passion. We just had our holiday party here last night and it was a wonderful time!…read more The banquet had the perfect amount of space for tables, a photo area, DJ and dance floor, buffet style set up for food, and a separate area with the bar area. There was also generous space to hang your jackets. There is covering outside if you need fresh air or to have a smoke without getting snowed or rained on. There were 2 bartenders and they were nice and did their jobs well. We never had to wait longer than a minute for drinks. The food was not bad... I really liked their ham! Super flavorful and tender and I wish I had went up for seconds. The bathrooms were cleaned and never ran out of toilet paper. I'd be very happy if our party took place here again next year!

Seeing there can't be any parties during this time, caterers are really struggling during these times. Well Joseph's Catering is doing meals now!! My wife and I tried them for the 1st time and WOW! Everything was delicious! My wife and I are not baked bean fans, but we polished off half a tin of these baked beans! The pulled pork was also melt in you're mouth tasty. The BBQ sauce the pork was covered in was a nice mild sauce. Not too overwhelming. Just right! The corn and Mac and cheese was also great tasting with the Mac and cheese having think melted cheese covering it. The whole meal which serves 4 was a steal for $30.00! Ohh and they even included Catanzo rolls for the pork! Yum!!

It all started in 2010, and since then the event has been extremely popular not only among local residents. The festival takes place in a park worth visiting not just for the festival itself. It's small, but well-maintained and compact, with the picturesque Glen Falls. It's a perfect place for a little stroll, or a getaway from the crowd. This year, 150 vendors participated in the event. I'm sure everyone could find something interesting for themselves. I got caught at two booths for a little longer than the others. The first was Enchanted Cottage Candles. Actually, it was a really popular spot. We all couldn't believe how perfect each candle looked, not to mention the scent, which was absolutely stunning. I also had to stop at Susie Byerley Fine Art Oil Painting from Southern Indiana. I hardly ever talk to vendors, but this time I just had to chat a little bit. Her extraordinary talent was impossible to miss. I'm sure many complimented her traditional representational art. I hope she managed to sell at least a few of her beautiful pieces. There weren't many food vendors, but I was happy to see Sunshine Vegan Eats. Anyway, Williamsville has plenty of restaurants, so don't worry. There's something for everyone.

There are so many decisions that couples need to make as they plan a wedding, and Daulton was with us every step of the way. She made us feel comfortable... ranging from challenging financial negotiations that most couples wouldn't be prepared for, to even providing her opinion when we needed an unbiased third party. Daulton was thorough, honest, thoughtful, and will make you feel secure as you go into planning your big day or special event. Plus, she's a breath of fresh air in a cluttered wedding industry where it can be difficult to find a trustworthy person to help you. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat, and recommend her to anyone that needs planning advice or support.

Her taste is so elegant and simple, and her suggestions for decor and ambiance were always exactly what we were looking for! We hosted two weddings - one in New Orleans and the other in Cleveland. It was not easy planning in two locations (especially because we don't live in either location) for two completely different style of weddings, but Daulton made the whole process a breeze and so enjoyable! All of our vendors spoke so highly about Daulton and how organized everything was. Her day of coordination was flawless, even through a few hiccups, we never stressed as Daulton had everything taken care of so we could enjoy our big days with our family and friends and help our wedding dreams become a reality. She was everything and more in a wedding planner and we were so lucky to be able to work with her!!

Williamsville Historical Society Museum - Some good old stuff!

    Williamsville Historical Society Museum

    (1 review)

A lovely little place, that seems like it needs a little bit of TLC itself…read more This year, as a Yelp resolution, I've vowed to visit at least one historical museum or site a month, so let's get started! The Williamsville Historical Society Museum is located within the Williamsville Meeting House (for all intents and purposes, they share a name) on the upper floor of the building. The building was originally constructed as a church for The Disciples of Jesus Christ back in 1835 - later acquired by the Lutherans in 1871, completed and improved. The building eventually fell to some disarray in 1948, in which the bell tower was removed, and by 1976 the congregation (then practically disbanded) sold the building to the village for $1. This was when the Historical Society came into possession of the building, renovating it into an awesome museum space, as well as wedding/concert/meeting venue! The building is on the National Register of Historic Places, so it is definitely worth a visit! I was lucky enough to be driving down Main in the morning, spying a sign on the lawn that said 'Museum Open Sunday 1-3pm' so I naturally made it a part of my day to stop by. I'm not entirely sure if they're open every Sunday, or if they even have set hours, so it's definitely worth looking in to. The museum itself, like I said before, could definitely use some TLC. The museum is on the top floor of the building, and is filled with all sorts of really cool artifacts, but could benefit from some organization. It seemed more like an archive to me, than a museum. There were dozens of really cool articles to read, blurbs paired with artifacts both found and donated. The way some things were displayed seemed a bit juvenile, pinned to foam boards and propped against walls, but some of the other displays were nice (like the cases, the bottles, uniforms, maps). A lot of the things here were actually really interesting and cool to read, informative in the sense that I had honestly never known some of the real history behind the buildings I pass by every single day. It was cool to see photographs of these places when they were first built! When I arrived here, it seemed like there were some people from the Historical Society having a meeting...which I have no problem with, of course, but I felt like I was intruding a little bit, so I didn't stay long. (Even though the 'Museum Open' sign was out front? Cue my awkwardness.) I would definitely be eager to return again and take the time to read through everything that can be found here. Going to cross my fingers that I see the sign again!
