Brandon was great! He listened to my ideas, was responsive via email and text, worked with what I wanted, provided excellent guidance on what would look best, and accommodated all my requests to give me the perfect install. I had him install a Samsung Frame TV, hide the wires inside the wall, and also install a floating shelf unit under the TV to hide all electronic components. He nailed the no gap / flush mount of my Samsung Frame TV, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I also asked him to move the coaxial cable outlet to a different location so that I could hide it inside a storage closet, and he executed that perfectly as well. On top of all this, the price was affordable and very fair. Much lower than other places I looked into. I couldn't recommend Brandon enough. I don't write a lot of reviews, but when you have an experience this great - you feel compelled to let others know.
This is the first time in a long time that can say that I can completely satisfied with any work I have had done. It was a surprise to me that it was difficult to find someone based locally that could do what we needed quickly. All I wanted was to move the 47" LG up stairs and replace it with a 55" Samsung 6350 covering less space on the wall. Scott & Brandon did a very clean no-wires showing wall mount - every one else including the Geek Squad would only hide the sat cable and power wires
What can I say, Brandon is genuine, professional and damn good at his job. I needed a TV mounted in my living room with an outlet installed on a wall 90 degrees from the wall where the TV was going. Brandon laid out his opinion for the best route and explained in detail his professional rationale for the decision. After that he was all business and worked quickly, and more importantly, in an organized and clean fashion. Patchwork was done professionally and you couldn't even tell he had touched the wall. Brandon cleaned up after himself and left the place good enough for even the pickiest wife (mine). Can't go wrong with Brandon. Give him a call.
This review is written on behalf of Rudy Benavides which was a recent customer of SoCal Installs. "I originally arranged Geek Squad to install a 75 inch TV in the living room and 55 inch in the bedroom. They delivered the TV and saw the height of the living room which was over 20 ft high and at that point, they refused to install." "I contacted Brandon (the owner) the following day and he came out and did the complete installation within four hours." "As you can see it was a very unique location. He did an AMAZING job. Super friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend his company."
Wow, so incredibly happy we went with SoCal Installs. He showed up, with the mount I needed for my TV, setup, knocked it out, and cleaned up within 2 hours. First of all, the craftsmanship on the home was impeccable. We rent and our Landlord is in love with her home, so getting her to be ok with this move, cutting large holes in the wall for the cords then drilling more holes in the wall to mount the tv, was no easy feat. Once she saw the finished results, she trusted us enough to let us hang a couple other things around the house ;). Plus his rate was extremely competitive and when he was done, he said it wasn't as much work as he anticipated, so he gave me a discount. That's class. Seriously, his eye for detail is what made this such a successful install for us. Thank you SoCal times a million. PS. sorry this took so long to get up, it's been crazy around here.
Brandon was awesome!!! Very professional and love my tv over my fireplace...he also is a wealth of information about tv, WiFi. Am considering an outdoor tv and he had some great advice. Thanks Brandon!
We wanted to mount a tv on our fireplace and weren't sure if there was brick behind the face of ours (which most companies said they wouldn't install on if this was the case). Brandon was very honest about the cost differences and said either way he would get the job done for us. Turned out there was brick behind and he was able to still run the cables through the wall and get the plugs installed behind the tv, along with an extra one on the ground behind our entertainment center. All around great work, we love the way it looks!
Brandon did an outstanding job mounting my TV above my fireplace. He was prompt and very competitively priced. He actually found a random live wire that had been left capped in the wall by the previous owner that he went ahead and removed as well (that could have been a fire hazard). If you're looking for someone to mount your TV and hide the cables in the wall then look no further. I'm very likely going to hire him again to do the same job up in my home office as well. I'd say that's the best sign of any business and that is the willingness to refer and to hire again. Best part was he was very genuine and I didn't feel like he was jerking me around trying to nickel and dime me. He was very clear about the price up front and that's exactly what he charged me after the install.
Brandon did a kick-a$$ job mounting my television (65 inch) and sound bar. It turned out way better than I expected AND at a very fair price. He took into account that I also wanted to hang floating shelves at some point and measured out the television against the wall to accommodate that future purchase so it would look "balanced". The set up is seamless with all the cords and cables hidden (exactly how I preferred); Brandon was able to install a new outlet behind the tv as well, and he set up the tv/cable/sound bar to sync with one another. The man is a true professional in every essence.
I first used So Cal Installs way back in 2010 on one my second home It was a small job but Brandon accepted it and did a rock-solid job. Brandon treated the job like it was for his own home and I will never forget that. I love supporting small local business and its been awesome to watch Brandon grow thru the years. As the family needs have changed I've come to count on Brandon's expertise in all areas of home theater as we transitioned into larger homes and more complex jobs. This particular review is long overdue. Its been almost two years since I moved into my current home and Brandon did another clean job. One thing that's awesome about his service is his consulting alone is worth the price. I used to buy my equipment first but now I hold off to get his ideas on equipment, layout, etc. As life changes again, I'm getting ready for another move and feel lucky I have some one I can rely on to get the job done no matter how big or small. read more

Branden did a fantastic job. No doubt he is a pro, nobody was more certain of their plan, and I called quite a few install services and handymen before I came across his information. So glad I did and I know who to call next time around. Electric needed to be run to hide the wires properly. Was done beautifully! read more

Brandon was very easy to work with and schedule with! This is actually our 2nd install with him. He was in and out in less than 2 hours. We needed longer cables to achieve our desired look and he had extras with him. Our TV looks amazing on the wall! Look no further if you are looking to have your TV professionally mounted! read more

I'm not sure what more I can add to the numerous excellent reviews, but I'll give it a shot! I called Brandon on Saturday to see what his availability was to mount 2 flat screen TVs. I was more than pleasantly surprised when he told me he'd be able to schedule an appointment for Monday. His communication with me was flawless. When he arrived, I showed him where I wanted the TVs mounted. I had only planned on mounting one of them, so I only had one mount. Luckily for me, he had one in his truck and he charged me just over what he paid for it. This saved me from ordering an additional one and hence, not requiring another installation date and added expense. If you're mounting more than one TV, on the same date, he gives you a discount. I also had an Apple TV and Amazon Fire Stick I wanted to connect. Not only did he install both of them for me, he also took the time to program them & show me how they worked. I'm not the most technically advanced so his help with this was priceless. It's not every day you hire someone who does more than just what the initial call was for. I cannot recommend Brandon highly enough! read more

After an in house consultation with Magnolia (Best Buy), I was given a ridiculously astronomical quote to install two TV's in my new home. According to them, the lay out of my house would make it very challenging for them to hide the wires in my walls. Thankfully a friend of mine referred me to Brandon (So Cal Installs). Not only did he absolutely blow away Magnolia's quote by about 1/10th of the cost, he got the job done quickly and professionally. The guy even met me at Best Buy and spent 2 and half hours helping me pick out the right TV, sound bar, and accessories. To top it all off, he hung all of my guitars! Talk about going the extra mile to satisfy a customer. read more

Awesome job! This is exactly what I wanted! I was not sure who to go with but in the end I chose SoCal because the owner, Brandon, does the work instead of just someone who works at a company. He did a great job. This TV is mounted exactly how I pictured it. Thank you so much! read more

We needed a new 75 inch TV mounted on a stacked stone fireplace. Brandon and his helper were both timely and efficient. They even saved us some money by recommending an alternative mount that worked perfectly for our situation. I would recommend them without hesitation. read more
