Wow be careful with this New Contractor!…read more We secured an estimate and made plans to get the job done 9 days in advance. The day before the job he shows up and comes over to chat and decline's doing the job. He tells me face to face "I'm just going to pass". I'm like what the heck. Our company went through Angie's list to get bids and this guy is unreliable unless it's convenient for him. Maybe too hot out for him to work. We have other contractors coming into work the next day and now they have to be canceled. So he cost them their jobs as well. We have other bids but now 2 weeks out due to M & M Hauling & Bobcat. Mike the owner unreliable, unprofessional & all about him unfortunately. Mike Poway Landscape & Maintenance Owner

We were impressed with how well they communicated, and overall really pleased with how everything went--deadlines were met, communication was good (they even communicated with our other contractors to ensure an AC unit and circuit box we were putting in would be okay), and price was definitely reasonable. They did quality work and did a great job of keeping everything tidy and clean, and clearly have a lot of experience in pool demolition. Would definitely recommend them for any pool demolition needs anyone has!

SK CONCRETE EARNS OUR 5 STARS!…read more With El Niño on the horizon, we knew it was time to tackle a serious drainage problem. Palm tree roots had taken over the underground pipes along one side of our property, causing flooding and pooling every time it rained. Not exactly the water feature we had in mind! The solution was no small undertaking. It required cutting through concrete along the entire side of our property, locating and bypassing the compromised pipes, installing new drainage pipes and drains, connecting everything to the curb, and finally, pouring and finishing new concrete to seamlessly match our existing hardscape. SK Concrete handled it masterfully! Their crew arrived on time, was courteous and professional, communicated clearly throughout the project, and worked diligently to ensure every detail was done right. The finished concrete work is exceptional, blending beautifully with what was already there. SK Concrete came highly recommended by our son, and now we understand why! We're happy to pass that recommendation along to anyone looking for a skilled, reliable, and trustworthy concrete contractor who takes pride in their work. Thank you, SK Concrete! You guys ROCK!

Victor Jr. worked with me to price the project based on pictures. (If you haven't used a junk removal service before, they prefer to come in person to give you a quote and take things right away. But you can request a quote based on pictures so that you get multiple offers.) The price was competitive, and though it was just a tiny bit more than the lowest price, the good customer service helped me trust him. When they arrived, Victor and his coworker introduced themselves to my mom and got to work. They finished in 15 minutes. Then, they took the extra step of sending me a text that the job was finished and sent me a picture of the truck of junk when I asked. We'd use Acosta again if we ever need another junk removal in San Diego. Now if only they had a Northern CA branch to help with my own post-move cleanup.

Yelp messaged 5 business, 3 got back to me that day. Although Victor's quote was a bit higher than the others, we ultimately chose him because he had the most reviews and positive feedback. One of the reviews mentioned how he supported a kids lemonade stand and that won me over as well. Acosta offers military and first time customer discount. Victor initially told me that three people would be coming to work on our project. When his other team members finished a job nearby, he called them over, so there ended up being six workers total. They worked quickly and efficiently and made a big difference in getting everything cleared out. What really stood out was that they didn't just remove the junk -- they also swept and cleaned the area afterward, which we really appreciated. Overall, we were very happy with their work and professionalism. Because of the great experience, we decided to book them again for landscaping. I saw on several of his business photos before and after pictures of landscaping work. I asked if he could recommend a move out cleaning and will be working with the workers he suggested. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a responsive and hardworking junk removal team.

During the estimate, he even took a video to make sure he had a clear understanding of everything we wanted done, which gave me a lot of confidence that nothing would be overlooked. The entire process was smooth, organized, and stress-free. The crew worked efficiently and got the job done within the timeframe promised. While waiting for the other 3 to get me their bids, I decided to go with Ernesto that evening since he could start immediately while others couldn't start until the following week and it will take them 10-15 days to complete. Ernesto's bid was also the most competitive as well. The next morning around 8am, Ernesto showed up with his 20ft truck and a 20ft trailer ready to go. His crew of 3 worked very fast and efficient.
