So after first Googling, and from there, clicking into Yelp saw 3 or 4 potential handymen. Something about Guy's reviews caught my eye and so I called him - and sure glad I did. He answered (vs. some auto recording) and asked the issue, which I described, and then asked that I send him some pictures of what I thought was wrong. He called back shortly thereafter and said it's almost too simple a fix and I said cool (I was afraid we'd have to reframe it or something) and said he could come out in an hour or so. Which he did, and he was right - it was simple. So.... 1) easy to get ahold of, ) quick repsonse & a bid, and 3) luckily for me, same day service. What's not to like?? We needed a carport door totally rebuilt from scratch, a bathroom door replaced, a deck hand railing retightened in place and two fence gates taken care of. He built a replacement door for our unique carport with a door frame that was anything but square and made it work beautifully! He replaced the hollow cord door for our bathroom to match the other doors in the hallway. He tighteded all the fastenings for the deck hand rail and got it all back to vertical and safe. And then he adjusted one fence gate to work better and totally replaced another fence post for the other gate so the fence is now strong and the gate latches properly. All this was done in one day! I would definitely use him again!

Bill is a true craftsman! I've had a wood gate that has needed rebuilding for the last 8 years…read more Pieces of the wood gate were rotting. Over the years, I've had other handymen pass on the project. I had a handyman who was able to fill the rotted areas with wood filler, sand it, and restain it. I've even had a gate company tell me that they could not save the gate; it would need to be completely replaced. Bill was able to cut out the rotted pieces of wood, replace them, and restain the whole gate (he also repainted the decorative hardware on the door as well). Moreover, he discussed the project with a buddy of his and they determined that the gate was sitting over a muddy part of landscaping which is probably what facilitated the deterioration of the wood. We found some leftover pavers in our storage shed and Bill extended the pavers so the gate would sit over pavers instead of mud. Before he embarked on the wood gate repair, Bill also installed a valance/shade over a window. He made the necessary calculations to ensure that the valance/shade would be centered on the wall and window. He also made sure that the valence was leveled. Bill is honest, meticulous and detail-oriented. If you want someone to treat your project and your home, like it's his own, I would give Bill a call.

After the plumbers finished they send me a bill for $3000.00 Multiple items were not finished correctly in my shower including patch work and my bathtub being completely slanted and not level. Asked him to come out and finish the work and he refused saying he already gave me a discount for the mistakes he made.
