SoBol is really yummy, they take time to make your bowl so it's definitely made fresh and right in front of you. They fit up the fruits fresh and make the açaí. I will however say that SoBol is one of the more expensive places to get your açaí bowl. But it's definitely worth the extra bucks. Their pitaya bowl is good as well. read more

It was terrible. They got my order completely wrong and when I nicely asked them to remake it instead they decided to take their dirty gloves that had touched the register and the money and scooped out my food. When I asked again to remake it she proceeded to make it wrong again and was very rude about making it. If i could give zero stars I would. As I walked in so did a dozen Commack EMS workers and I thought, oh boy, this will take forever. I was surprised. They worked like a well-oiled machine and I watched them make fresh bowls with precision and quality. There were even two "allergy bowls" in that group and I was amazed to see the kids not miss a beat as they closed containers and made special bowls avoiding nuts. Went to sobol of Commack today for an Açaí bowl, the bowl was good but the customer service was truly terrible. The kids behind the counter were so rude, and not customer friendly at all!! I have a lot of food allergies, as I was ordering my bowl and telling the girl at the register what I would like to replace with what, because of my food allergies, her and another girl behind the counter start to laugh!! I kept going with my order trying to ignore them, and as I kept going and customizing my order they continued to laugh! I have never in my life been more appalled at young girls. Absolutely terrible behavior, and someone should really step in and manage this place better! Wrote on the Facebook page of the business, and my post got deleted within the hour!! SO unprofessional I cannot believe it!! read more

This place is AMAZING!!! I was going to a place in Babylon before coming here. I am so happy that I switch because the people that work here are amazing and very good at what they do. The bowls are delicious and the homemade products they incorporate into the bowls are an amazing tasty treat. We tried Sobol for the first time last week and were back again on Monday! It is absolutely delicious and I love that you can order online. My kids like to go in and pick up our order. My only complaint is that they were playing music with curses with children in there. This won't stop us from going back but its very inappropriate. read more

This is the second location I've been to and they are clean, nice, efficient and fast. So, I'm sure you're thinking, why not 5 star rating???? My only issue with this location over the other location I've been to (the other one is in Syosset), is this place did not fill my bowl the whole way up. It may sound like a stupid reason, but they aren't cheap and the one in Syosset makes sure it's always packed to the brim. Other than that (I'm sure you could say something and they would accommodate, but I had a to go bag and didn't look until I got home) I would recommend this place! read more

I've been here over a dozen times. The acai bowls are good, but the service is awful. In particular, the girl with the long blonde hair is extremely rude. She rolls her eyes when speaking to customers and has a terrible attitude. Also, often times, I find the employees judging and speaking negatively about customers while they're still in the store. I've seen this happen a few times now. This is completely unprofessional and they should not have a customer service role here or anywhere. read more

The Acai Bowls were amazing. What bothered me was the fact that this store uses so much plastic and I do not see one thing that is being recycled. A young girl was cutting strawberries in the front of the store and threw the plastic container straight into the garbage. All of the bowls in the store are made of plastic and no recycling bin is available. Please take the time, stop being so conceded and take care of the environment. One of the only places I go that does not even try. read more

I have been at several SOBOLS including Syosset, Oyster Bay and Sayille. A few times I have gone into these other places and the staff was singing and dancing a bit and my son and daughter thought it was the coolest thing. They all have this great energetic vibe but I cant say the same for all of the stores. Not sure what is going on or who is managing the Commack and Huntington Stores but it is not a fun place to go. Let's face it, SOBOLS bowls are all pretty much to the standard of great no matter which store you go. It is a franchise so you would expect that. Both places are kept neat and clean. The employees, who are young, look scared to make a mistake, are constantly looking around to see who is watching and it seems like they are not happy to be there. I believe it is the owner who comes out and greets the guests with this fake smile. But then I heard a woman's voice yelling at an employee regarding the proper way to cut the berries. There are better ways to educate than this. The service is always polite and respectful so I can't say its a staffing issue , so it must come from the top down starting with the owner. I drive the extra mileage into Syosset now just so can sit and enjoy the dine in experience without a negative vibe. So sad...good employees are cultivated and inspired and not driven by fear. read more

A group of nurses I work with and I placed an order for delivery through sobol's website. I experienced nothing but disappointment after the order was placed. We all love their açaí bowls and were excited to start our Saturday shift off with them. About half an hour after placing the order, I got a call from the store saying they cannot fill delivery orders placed on their website; I must cancel the order and place a new order through Door Dash. Ok, fair enough. Less than a minute later, however, someone from doordash was at my job delivering my order. I asked if he received the tip I put on my credit card, he checked his phone and said no. So I gave him an additional cash tip. Upon inspecting the order, every bowl was wrong, plus we were missing one. When I called the store to see what happened, I was told by Cassandra that this isn't her problem, I have to take it up with doordash. I tried to explain that I never placed an order with doordash. I placed the order on the Commack Sobol website. She said it still wasn't her problem and wouldn't refund my money for all the extra toppings we paid for and did not receive. She wouldn't even refund me for the 5th bowl I paid for and never received. I love this store so much, but am so disappointed in their extremely poor customer service. Will not go back. read more
