Worst customer service I have ever encountered . Tech was nice and efficient but that's where it ends. My a/c went after only 1 year and Sobieski doesn't have a clue. They blow smoke up your ass and the right hand doesnt know what the left hand it dint. It has been a week and the part is still god knows where. I dont think even they know. We've had multiple negative experiences with this company. Our builder uses Sobieski as a contractor for our brand-new home, but if it were up to us, we would never choose them. First, we had a crack in our ceiling. When Sobieski came to look at it, they made an even bigger hole--and a month later, it still hasn't been repaired. We also had a toilet issue that required a replacement. It's been over a month and we're still waiting on the new toilet. Most recently, we discovered a leak in our attic and our AC stopped working. Someone was scheduled to arrive at 8am today, but they never showed. The biggest problem has been their lack of communication. On several occasions, they've either been complete "no shows" or arrived unannounced without notifying us in advance. For a company working on new homes, this level of disorganization and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I would strongly caution against using this company if you expect reliability, communication, or professionalism. read more

My Builder used sobieski for the HVAC system. When our heat failed, a technician came out the next day. He misdiagnosed out problem, removed a functioning part and placed a used part temporarily while waiting for the new one to come in. I have called multiple times, left messages, no return call. It's been 2 weeks with intermittent heating and sobieski just disappeared. Thankfully, a local company can't out and fixed in it a day. Sobieski dies NOT care about their customers. ​​​​ read more

Had Sobieski for 2.5 years with no issues. Recommended them to my daughter for a heating repair. The tech quoted her a price of $1832 to replace a blower motor. Didn't bother to check that the part was still under warranty. After I informed them about the warranty, the price dropped to $1600+. Last night another company installed the part. The bill was $282. I cancelled the service contracts at my house and hers. How can you charge $1600+ for a job that took less than 2 hrs. read more

I had a heat pump installed 11/24/25 in allentown, pa by sobieski going thru costco to arrange the installation. i thought the installers were knowledgeable and friendly. they gave 3 options for heat pumps. the first 2 had warranties of 10yrs parts and 3yrs labor. the 3rd option, the most expensive was almost 21k. but the warranty was 10/10yrs included. i picked this since this was for a "cold climate" and so much efficient in the winter. the installer said he had never installed this model. the warranty was not only verbal but in paperwork by sobieski showing the 3 options. however, i noted in an email copy of a warranty sheet from lennox, the labor warranty was only listed as 3 years. my concern was that sobieski or someone else might use that as an excuse not to cover labor charges after 3 yrs. so i called sobieski office in delawar 12/23/25 and asked for the person that sent the email and was told that person no longer worked there. i was told a manager, steve would call me. 12/30, no cb so i called again and again told steve would cmb. as of 1/3/26, no cb from sobieski. i called the costco lennox # 1/2/26 and spoke with paul. he sounded very interested and said he would call sobieski and that "98% of the time" these issues could be settle. also, my township called me and said that sobieski paid for a permit but never completed the paperwork. s. whitehall tswp called me as the owner wanting to know what it was all about. when i called paul, he agree that was the responsibility of sobieski, not me. so still waiting. read more

If I could say 0 stars, I would. I have not had a working A/C in my brand new house (where Sobieski installed the HVAC) for 2 weeks. Customer service will lie and lie and lie and lie about sending someone to fix it and then accuse you of acting irrationally when you call them on it. Then they send a plumber with no clue how to fix the issue. Horrible customer service. Call literally anyone else. I will be. 2 weeks without A/C in 90 degree weather is ridiculous. read more

Just bought a new house. We closed on June 20th and moved in on the 21st. On move in day, the AC was not working. I called and was told that a texh reported a leak in the coil on the 17th...3 days before we closed on the house. NOBODY told us about this before we closed. The 'higher ups' told our contractor that it wasnt a coil leak and that the rep who I spoke with didn't know what she was talking about. Our warranty division sent a texh who again documented a coil leak. The tech called his supervisor who instructed him to 'just top off the refrigerant' so the AC would work. The tech called another manager who was incredulous that the other guy instructed him to top it off when the coil was leaking. The refrigerant is toxic AND flammable so allowing it to leak into my home was unsafe and blatantly unethical. I would not recommend this contractor and if you are considering using a builder who uses this contractor, tell them you want someone else. If thw builder wont use another mechanical contractor, find another builder. read more

called at 1610 on a Friday. visit would be 64$ to come check out not working AC since I have a plan with them. Called them at 1810. resubmitted repair request. at 0700 on Saturday they call and say they called at 1830 on Friday. they did not. AND. now the charge is $175 since it's after hours. Ask for supervisor and they aren't available. I asked them to put me on for Monday afternoon since some of have to work. Even on my " maintenance plan" they have cancelled and rescheduled the day of twice. no customer service. rude, expensive, lazy, bait and switch. they installed system in new home and initially there was a problem when we first turn AC unit on when needed. shoddy work. read more

Talked to a representative at Costco about a price on a thermostat and ongoing maintenance for an existing system. He said I would receive a call. I never so a month later I told the same representative that I never heard from anyone and he said he would follow up. It took two more months before I received a call asking if I had requested a call and what I needed. He said I would receive a call, but going on two more months and I have yet to receive a call from the company. At this rate I am looking at alternative solutions as I don't expect they will ever call and don't expect service would be any better if they did call. read more

This contractor spent 6+ hours at my house to diagnose a bad blower fan in my brand new unit. They ordered the new part under warranty and after me calling multiple times over two weeks to get an answer on when the part was coming in and for a schedule to reinstall, we scheduled them to come out to replace the part. The day of at the time they said they would come out, Sobieski calls to tell me that they would not be showing up because the tech did not have the part on his truck. My builder calls them that same day and they tell them that the part was damaged during shipping, however, magically, they can get a new part in 3 days later to come install at my house, even though the first one took two weeks. So, 3 days later, they come to install the blower, the tech spends 30 minutes in the attic and tells me its the wrong part and that they would order the right part and contact me asap to get an install date. Well, two weeks later, I have had to contact them each time to get an update. Today when I called, they just got the part in, like magic! I'm sure it just arrived as soon as I called! Was told they will call me tomorrow to schedule the install, what are the odds I have to call them? I'd say rather high, because I have had to call them to schedule my own job, what great service! DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO. Moved into a new 55+ home in the Breinigsville area with an intrusively noisy HVAC air return system at 60dB. Air return sizing is minimal and just barely at recommended levels, other placing and installation peculiarities. The system was installed by Sobieski HVAC Services and the noise issue is under Warranty. The first tech that came by did a lot of talking which did nothing to improve the situation. The next tech did some measuring and never said very much, then left. Further inquiry about what will be done was dismissed with "system is to specs and there is nothing that can be done" In my books a one star is almost too high a rating for this company. read more

Bought a Lennox furnace and ac from Sobieski thru Costco, it was a good deal with the Costco rebates and other rebates from PECO and Energy Star tax credits. We have a brand new NV home, Sobieski was used to install our HVAC and thermostats. There was not one part they installed correctly. From thermostats first installing wrong ones, then not installing properly actually none were, then setting them so wrong our bills were insane, they had no idea what they were doing. Now HVAC is again completely installed improperly. We have extremely hot air coming out of the intake vent that is wrong. So was the rest of the unit inside and out. UGH. Do not use them they literally have no idea what they are doing. read more

Today was the third time in four years Sobieski Services mishandled my appointment for service. When I called to schedule, I selected the date and window, but that information (particularly window) doesn't make it to the dispatcher. I end up waiting all day for the technician to arrive. On one occasion, the technician didn't arrive, even after calling. Once service is provided it is fine. However, the schedulers, dispatchers and customer service cannot be counted on. Highly recommend doing business elsewhere. I know I am after today. read more

We had Sobieski install our units in 2016. For at least the past 4 years, every year when we turn the ac on, we get an error code on the outside unit, EVERY YEAR. Every year we try to schedule service, every year we have to put them on blast to get anything done. We turned our ac on for the first time Memorial Day weekend, and of course there is the same error code we get every year. We called them 5/28/2024, they came out two days later. The technician was very nice, but was on the phone with the troubleshooting line. That was the last time we heard from them until we called them again. I spent an hour on the phone this morning with Lennox who told me that they can't find anything for our address, and that I need the "part order number" or "warranty reimbursement number" for them to try to track the parts. We call Sobieski and they have neither number. I'm tired of spending half the summer with no ac. Sobieski was happy to take a large sum of money from us (approx $30,000) but doesn't back up their work. The outside unit that is the problem is also slipping of the concrete pad, and is so close to the house that you can't open the power the supply box on the house without taking the whole cover off. 1/10 recommend and only 1 because we were able to use Lowe's card with a low rate to finance the system. read more

Had sobieski replace my ac unit, they installed evaporative cooler which was defective (small leaks) took two years for all of the freon to leak out. Had them come back as unit stopped working. The technician refilled the unit $600, performed leak test $400 which didn't find anything and then charged me an additional $800 for due test to find leaks which were caused by poor installation. They then wanted to charge me another $2000 to fix it. I know they don't care about repeat customers, just taking the time to write this review to hopefully save someone else from getting ripped off. read more

I would give Zero stars but it's not an Option. Sobieski is the subcontractor for our new construction Lennar homes. The plumbing installation issues are too numerous to detail: incorrectly plumbed and wired Hot water heaters, Sump pumps & booster pumps that burn out shortly after install, fire suppression systems that leak or are improperly installed. My latest issue was a flooded basement from a faulty expansion tank. This is 1.5yrs after Sobieski installed it(they refused to replace/fix due to the 1 year Warranty. They either are using inferior products/used products/inexperienced personnel or ALL of the above. My neighbors and fellow homeowners all have similar, if not worse issues with their plumbing and HVAC systems. In the rare attempt that they try to fix a Warranty issue, the problems are often not solved. read more

Horrible company they initially installed the pipes on my new construction home within a couple of months after moving in a leak from the top floor to the second floor destroyed the wood and sheet rock it was a loose pipe in tub and now not even 1 1/2 year later another leak going down to second floor same area. Our HVAC suddenly stopped working early this morning. I called Sobieski and the rep (Edward I think) was very responsive. He said he couldn't promise service today but will put us on a list in case they get a cancellation. Later in the morning, Amber (worked with her before--she's great) called and said a tech will arrive in about 30 mins. Our tech, Cody, was excellent: polite, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem. He also explained what went wrong and how to prevent it in the future. We haven't always had great service from Sobieski but in the future, if Cody is dispatched to us, I'm sure we will. read more

I regretted to ask them to change my ac system in 2013. This is a nightmare. First year, my unit has water leak. And this is because of the pipe. And they said this is not their responsibility and they charge me 200 to fix it( are they suppose to make sure the piping is all ok?) Second - third year, the ac is not cold enough. I call them and they asked for 500-600 to change the heat exchanger. They said only only had 1 year labor and 5 years part. And 500-600 is only for part... ok Third - fourth year, the ac was just broke. And they asked for 800-1000 to replace the defected compressor. What??? And this is also only for labor cost. Then fourth - fifth year, my heater had the issue. And spent 200-300 to fix it. Sixth - seventh year, the ac was not working. I exhausted and just survived without ac for that summer. This year, I finally decided to spend another 12k to replace the lemon unit. This is not only cost me the money. This cost me the time. I need to take day off from my work and work with them. And some time they just did not show up because emergency... 6/20/2020 Today I got my new ac installed (not Sobieski) And I asked the installation technician kept the eyes on what they did wrong. 1) the breaker should be move to the utility room according to building code this will not cause any issue, so I don't blame on Sobieski 2) the coil should not touch the ground. My first unit touched the ground and Sobieski installed the coil directly on the ground. Since I am living in apartment and we share the same pipe which take care the water out. The upstairs can damage my unit because chemicals stay in my unit if I stair clean up the unit. 3) the they did not install the txv filter. The new installer also ask if my txv got damaged before. And I said yes... Now, at least, I understand the root cause. read more

Sylinea has been awesome to get our project on the schedule quickly. Dan and Mark came out today and did much more than originally proposed- at no additional cost to us! Dan and Mark were here most of the day. What should've been a quick, easy hot water heater installation, turned out to be much more. Our system is updated, safe, has a very efficient hot water heater with all the trimmings, and I'm blessed to say it looks beautiful. Hi Everyone, This review comes 4 years after doing business with Sobieski's. My husband and I replaced our central a/c using Costco's recommendations 4 years ago. They sold us their "BEST" . Well, they took our money and we have had to fight for service every since. Once we signed the deal 4 years ago, we have NEVER had good service from them, including this week. I even had to contact Costco to assist in getting us service. If there was anyway to give No stars that how this review would be rated. We had work done in 2019 with the installation of a heat pump, furnace, and A/C system. Had somebody come out TWICE before the date of installation to take measurements. Day of installation comes (I took off from work for the day to be there), old system removed, SURPRISE! New furnace doesn't fit. They first tell me that they're looking in the area for another system. Then they tell me they found one, and it's better than the old one, for the same price! "That's nice", I say, what brand is it? "We don't know". How can you tell me it's better when you don't even know what is? I have no complaints about the installers, who were put in a bad situation and worked almost till midnight to get it installed. Fast forward a year. The digital thermometer they installed goes black; we have no heat, only cold air blowing in. The tech fixes it after two visits, or so we thought. Stops working again (in middle of Winter), tech says he doesn't know what's wrong, I'll try one more thing, but if this doesn't work, I don't know what to do. Fortunately after two more visits it does work, but not exactly what you are looking for in a new install. Fast forward to 2021, we sign a service contract with them (in order to maintain warranty we have to get it serviced). I try to get our annual heater maintenance appointment. They tell me they can only come Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm off on Wednesdays, you can't come then? They book me and tell me they'll make an exception for me. Day of the service comes; I get a call shortly before the arrival time that the technician can't come today and I'll have to reschedule. So we reschedule to a day when my wife will be home as I am at work, I give them her number to call on the day of service. I call the morning of the day of service and get their voicemail, telling them again to call my wife when they are on their way and giving her phone number. Later in the day tech calls me at work where I can't pick up, followed a minute later by the home office saying they'll have to reschedule since I'm not at home. I call them back eight minutes later to tell them someone is home, but they tell me they can't come out today, but we can come out three days hence. So now one of us has to stay home AGAIN in the hopes that these people will finally come out. Overall the lack of competence and lack of respect for customers' time make this company one I cannot recommend at all. read more

Horrible. Takes 1-2+ weeks for repair services. I built my home 4 years ago and the builders used Sobieski for HVAC. Since purchasing our brand new HVAC system the heating/ air has broken at least 20 times. The heat stopped within months of moving in only to have to sleep with my four children with no heat because even in extreme conditions they can't seem to find a tech to come out quickly. About 10 repairs in they told us that the HVAC was never installed correctly and that's the reason that both systems keep breaking. It lasted about a year that time, now it's broken again. No one can come to our home for 2 weeks regardless of the fact that our system was faulty and we are on extended warranty due to their errors. read more

Would have given 4 stars, but after a 2nd call for service I'm giving 1 star. 1st time out they recommended repairing the water heater. About 6 months later the issue resurfaces and I call them back out and they recommend full replacement. Their quote to replace the water heater was $900 higher than the better quote I received. The entire process with Sobieski was super easy. Called to get an estimate and they were out the next day. I was able to schedule the service with them easily. Zach came out for the estimate and he was helpful, friendly and efficient. He gave me a couple different options to choose from for price comparisons. Service from Tom M was also a very easy process. He called when he was on his way to my house and was on time. He was friendly, efficient, explained what he was doing, why and the service guarantee. I think he may have left my house/kitchen cleaner than when he started. I would recommend both of these gentlemen and Sobieski and would definitely use them again. read more

Sobieski should NOT even be plumbing at all! I have always considered a good plumber to be one that has NO leaks. Obviously, Sobieski does not believe the same. I had to fix 5! Leaky sprinklers(for fire suppression) in the basement alone of my brother's new home. Most only needed a 1/8-1/4 turn to fix but if that is the case in the basement of one home,then i hate to know what is going on INSIDE the walls and rest of the home. They did ALL of the homes at The Reserve at Rose Tree and everyone has had plumbing issues from hot water heaters to sump pumps( very important systems in homes.) Use ANY other plumber but Sobieski. Oh, I did I mention that their plumbers PISSED in the basement rough-in for the shower and bath drain. I know because when I cut capped off waste pipe, I was elbow high in piss water! Besides being bad at their jobs, they are also very unprofessional and base. Avoid at all costs. Do not let them in your home!!! read more
