I was upset but I had already waited all day so I went ahead. Blaise showed. I took him to the drippy shower. I had the part already. It was a matter of taking the faucet off and replacing a washer filter. The second project was the dripping toilet. Blais said that it was a faulty flapper and he didn't have the part but would run to the Lowe's to get one. A BASIC flapper and he didn't have one with him!! I asked - before he went to Lowe's - to tell me how much the project would be. He said $300!!! for a detachable flapper and a washer in a shower where I provided the part?! I said never mind, he was free to leave. He said he knew what the going rate was and his price was fair. I told him "Fair or not, I'm not paying $300 for a 15 minute job and especially since you kept me waiting for 5 hours." Blais said "What do you care, you work from home! " I asked his name and he told me but then asked if I was leaving a review. I said I probably would. He then offered to do the whole job for free as long as I promised not to leave a review! As if I'd trust him to do anything ever in my home!! I asked him to leave and he started yelling that I was going to ruin a man's business and livelihood over being late and expensive! (You can't make this stuff up!) I had to sternly demand that he leave my home at once!!! He did. And I then fixed the shower in 10 minutes on my own. The next day I bought a $17 Fluidmaster kit and fixed the toilet MYSELF! He had misdiagnosed the problem. It wasn't the flapper, it was the gasket. So for $17 and 30 minutes of my time, I save $300. The lady who answers the phone (Blaise's wife) is very professional and considerate and accommodating And apologetic. But Blais behaved horribly, was irresponsible and inconsiderate in 5 hours tardiness, was rude to expect me to be inconvenienced in such a way because I work from home, and didn't even diagnose the problem properly! My condensation line was frozen from the outside to the furnace area. This create internal faults within the furnace unit causing it not to work properly. I had (5) ONE HOUR 'EMPLOYEES' at my residence analyzing this unfortunate circumstance. Thanks to Jeff Catalini Field Supervisor, Kyle Wilson Operations Manager, John Rocker Austin Schmidt and Thomas COOK 'TJ' all Technicians analyzing and try to find solutions. Throughout this (6) day process, new condensation pipes were ran heating wiring placed, and still the furnace was like some relationships, hot, cold, boring and just not working. I had lost total confidence in this furnace system and would hopefully not encounter another episode like this. I made the decision to get another furnace. It was in installed very professionally within a timely manner THANKS TO ALL the names LISTED ABOVE but a huge thanks to 'TJ' Thomas COOK, who did a great deal of the installation solo. 'TJ' was very explosive with KSA's Knowledge, Skill and Ability in what he was doing and how he was going about doing it as well as teaching me the new system and the new thermostat. At that exact time, I was getting ready to call and cancel because I had already troubleshooted the issue myself and confirmed my system was working normally, so the service was no longer needed. When I originally called, the only fee mentioned was a $120 diagnostic fee. There was no mention whatsoever of a no-show fee or a travel fee. Now they are trying to force me to pay a $59 travel fee, even though the technician arrived before the scheduled appointment time. To make matters worse, this fee was not explained to me until after they had already shown up. Completely unprofessional and misleading business practices.
