We were all beginners except 1 person in our group but we were all able to get up on the board because we had such an excellent instructor - Rodolfo! He was so friendly, really knows what he is doing, and you can tell he was very passionate about helping us all get up on the board successfully which we all really appreciated! Getting up on the board isn't easy but definitely possible even if you have no experience whatsoever. Rodolfo even managed to coach someone to stand up on the board who couldn't swim! We went at 3:00PM on a Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful. This experience was so worth it and we all can't wait to go back again! Try to get there at least 30 minutes early since the parking lot can look a little chaotic. If you keep driving to the end of the lot there are usually spots open. You can bring backpacks on with some of your own snacks/drinks. Bring a few beach towels - all the ones we brought got used!

I tried calling their number 3 times and it went straight to voicemail each time. Waited around for someone to show up for over an hour. I finally got a hold of them after 5 hours of trying to call to which they didn't even apologize for the terrible coordination. I drove over an hour for this lesson all for no one to show up, attempt to make contact with me or apologize.

When showing me options he showed me the cheapest option first and explained how it was different than the other two, also affordable, options he had pulled out for me to look at. I…read morecalled one Saturday (after buying the Groupon deal for 2 up paddleboards) to see if we could reserve for the next day but they were booked and I was told I needed to reserve a week in advance and to call back or reserve online on Monday..ok fine. I can understand that. When the online booking wouldn't let me reserve using my groupon, I called and they told me to proceed with the reservation without entering my groupon code and that they would apply the discount when I came in for the reservation. So I proceeded to book online without the groupon code but when I finally got down to reserving at a time it only gave me one time available (8:59 pm), obviously that is not right. I called back and the owner (who is actually the reviewer below) told me to text him the time I wanted to come in on sunday and he would put it in the system. I texted him the time I wanted to come, with additional information that he didn't even ask for = because I wanted to make sure they didn't screw this up. I included my name, email address that I used to book online, the time and the date that I wanted to come. So finally Sunday comes around and my boyfriedn and I are excited for a day of paddleboarding. We wanted to confirm our reservation so I called at 10am. The conversation went like this: Me: Hi, I had made a reservation on Monday for this afternoon at 1pm but I just wanted to confirm that you had our reservation. Miami Water Sports: If you made the reservation, we have you booked. (click) My boyfriend and I looked at eachother puzzled. Whatever..We decided to go and when we show up, guess what happened. THEY DIDN'T HAVE OUR RESERVATION!! I told them I had called to confirm that morning and they basically called me a liar and said he would let us reserve another day (uh, they better). We had to leave to put money in our meter but told them we would call back to sort things out. When we called back about 10 minutes later, HE TOLD US HE WAS BUSY WITH CUSTOMERS AND COULD NOT TALK TO US...um what??? WE ARE CUSTOMERS!! The only reason this place gets 1 star is because it is located just across the street from SOUTH BEACH KAYAK. We called them after the disaster at Miami Water Sports and they were able to get us 2 stand up paddleboards for 2 hours RIGHT THEN AND THERE! To sum it up: If you are thinking about using MIami Water Sports, DON'T. I will be calling Groupon to get my money back.

My appointment was canceled the day of due to rainy weather, and I found out through a text message. OK, that makes sense. However, I called multiple times to reschedule over the course of week. I am talking at least 10 times, and not once did I get through to anyone on the phone. Instead, they sent a text letting you know they are not available. RUDE. In this day and age where customer service is so important, I have no idea how people like this exist. Do not waste your time buying this Groupon.

I was down in Miami Beach celebrating my 50th birthday and wanted to do something different. We met our instructor, Maria, and her mom, who came along for the ride. Maria was awesome--happy, full of energy, and super easy to work with. Our original session was scheduled for Saturday, but when we arrived, the eFoil boards were having connectivity issues with their app. Maria apologized and said she'd check in with the shop owner to see if we could reschedule. In the meantime, she let us use paddleboards for free, so we still got to enjoy some time on the water. The next morning (Sunday), Maria texted to say everything was working again, so we headed back for a noon session--and it was an absolute blast. She even took some great videos of us out on the water. Definitely recommend booking a class with Maria!

Biscayne Bay Paddle boards was GREAT! They are so kind and helpful - two truly sincere business…read moreowners. We met with Rick, who, despite working solo that morning and being on his lunch ran back to accommodate us. We noticed the front door walking to the paddle board place NEXT door and I'm so glad we did - this spot was 1/2 the price and the customer service was excellent. We rented 2 kayaks (one single and one tandem) for an hour due to time constraints. Rick fit us in the schedule and showed us a map of where made sense for us to go with the time we had. The price included the cost of the kayaks, water for everyone in a cooler, cases to protect our phones from water and keep them attached to us, a wet/dry bag to keep all our stuff dry and a waterproof bluetooth speaker. They sanitized everything before we used it, walked the boats down to the water, showed us how to get in and had us text them to meet us to bring everything back. All that for $20 per person for the hour! Also, online it said they were sold out, but we walked in and they were able to accommodate, so def worth calling or walking in to see even if it looks like they are booked up. They also offer guided tours which I want to try, including a sunset nightime tour which sounds awesome. As repeat customers, you get a free half hour for free or 20% off the guided tours. 100% will be back!

The rental place is a bit of a walk and although we filled out the waivers prior, we were asked to do so again. There seemed to be a technical difficulty with the website not registering properly so our check in process was a bit lengthy. Overall, the employees were great and told us which direction we could follow. Eventually we ended up just us 2 (separate kayaks) and I'm so glad we brought a portable speaker because we were able to curate the vibes on such a romantic day. The views were immaculate and I even told some coworkers about it in case they were interested in purchasing. Can't complain on the experience!
