We were all beginners except 1 person in our group but we were all able to get up on the board because we had such an excellent instructor - Rodolfo! He was so friendly, really knows what he is doing, and you can tell he was very passionate about helping us all get up on the board successfully which we all really appreciated! Getting up on the board isn't easy but definitely possible even if you have no experience whatsoever. Rodolfo even managed to coach someone to stand up on the board who couldn't swim! We went at 3:00PM on a Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful. This experience was so worth it and we all can't wait to go back again! Try to get there at least 30 minutes early since the parking lot can look a little chaotic. If you keep driving to the end of the lot there are usually spots open. You can bring backpacks on with some of your own snacks/drinks. Bring a few beach towels - all the ones we brought got used!

When showing me options he showed me the cheapest option first and explained how it was different than the other two, also affordable, options he had pulled out for me to look at. I also asked about the bungees for my bag and while they didn't have that, they told me exactly where to go to get some and explained how to ask for it. It's worth it going across town to get here because these guys are great.

We called to verify how they worked as we had some businesses say the rental was for one battery vs a specific amount of ride time. We spoke with Cody who assured us it was for time and not a battery's worth of capacity. We arrived and everything was assembled and ready to go. We were obliged to listen to a safety briefing and explanation of how the foils worked - fair enough. I've seen people get into trouble sailing sunfish after claiming they knew how. After about 20 minutes we launched into the warm water and idled out of the mooring area. A short ride later we were in open water and the conditions were perfect. We zoomed around for about a half hour during which I received instruction and my husband slalomed around. His battery was then about 30% and instead of swapping in a new one, we exchanged boards. This worked fine as I and the instructor both had plenty of battery left. After about 90 minutes of riding with short breaks, we headed in and rinsed off at the available hose. The equipment was good. The instructor, Cody, was professional and we had a great time! Always ask about the battery policy as there was some confusion. It worked out for us as we could swap boards and we all ran on the minimum speed setting the whole time.

We rented the 22' Chaparral for 2 hours using a Groupon voucher last week. It was super easy to…read morereserve it and redeem the voucher. We just texted Ivan the voucher code and our desired date and time. They followed up with text confirmation and a text reminder for the reservation. The boat was brand new and in great shape. We showed up on time and had a very through walk through on how the boat operated and where we could go. They took the boat out of the slip for us so it was super easy to take off for our excursion. It was a great 2 hours on the water and when we were done we texted them to meet us the dock. We unloaded and they handled the parking. Great price and very great company.

I can understand that. When the online booking wouldn't let me reserve using my groupon, I called and they told me to proceed with the reservation without entering my groupon code and that they would apply the discount when I came in for the reservation. So I proceeded to book online without the groupon code but when I finally got down to reserving at a time it only gave me one time available (8:59 pm), obviously that is not right. I called back and the owner (who is actually the reviewer below) told me to text him the time I wanted to come in on sunday and he would put it in the system. I texted him the time I wanted to come, with additional information that he didn't even ask for = because I wanted to make sure they didn't screw this up. I included my name, email address that I used to book online, the time and the date that I wanted to come. So finally Sunday comes around and my boyfriedn and I are excited for a day of paddleboarding. We wanted to confirm our reservation so I called at 10am. The conversation went like this: Me: Hi, I had made a reservation on Monday for this afternoon at 1pm but I just wanted to confirm that you had our reservation. Miami Water Sports: If you made the reservation, we have you booked. (click) My boyfriend and I looked at eachother puzzled. Whatever..We decided to go and when we show up, guess what happened. THEY DIDN'T HAVE OUR RESERVATION!! I told them I had called to confirm that morning and they basically called me a liar and said he would let us reserve another day (uh, they better). We had to leave to put money in our meter but told them we would call back to sort things out. When we called back about 10 minutes later, HE TOLD US HE WAS BUSY WITH CUSTOMERS AND COULD NOT TALK TO US...um what??? WE ARE CUSTOMERS!! The only reason this place gets 1 star is because it is located just across the street from SOUTH BEACH KAYAK. We called them after the disaster at Miami Water Sports and they were able to get us 2 stand up paddleboards for 2 hours RIGHT THEN AND THERE! To sum it up: If you are thinking about using MIami Water Sports, DON'T. I will be calling Groupon to get my money back.
