Very cool little shop I just happened to find on Google looking for new wheels for my son and my nephew's skateboard. This little shop looks little from the outside but it's pretty spacious inside. Has a lot of anything you would want and a shop between refreshments in the front little candy station then they have some necklaces and charms then as you go to the back that's where you will find the Skateboards surfboards and skimboards. Very helpful and friendly staff more than happy to help me find the products I needed. A good wide variety product names, not to mention alot of replacement products. Ranging from Leashes, wheels,bearings,trucks and grips. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area of coconut grove and/ south Miami. Now price wise not the most affordable place, but not the most expensive. Most def going back to buy myself a long board for sure. read more

I'm learning how to surf and I already have a board, but I stopped in here to look around. This place is STUFFED with merchandise. OMG, everything you can think of. Surf boards, paddle boards, long boards, wetsuits, skateboards, scooters, helmets, sun glasses, sandals, flip flops, etc etc etc...anything you can think of! Bob the owner is the sweetest guy anyone could ever meet, he's from California and has a stupendous vibe, even if you're not buying anything I would definitely recommend to check it out. Fantastic surf shop, boyfriend forgot his sandals at home so after a frustrating attempt to go to the beach in socks and sneakers we found catch a wave. I called to ensure they had the brand of sandals we were looking for (Reefs) the phone was answered promptly and we were ensured they had what we needed. Truly the worst place to have your skates fixed. I went in with two pairs, one new and needing assembly one old needing new wheels. While I was skating brake came off the new pair, mid-skate, and then a week later a wheel came off the pair they had upgraded. WHILE I WAS SKATING. Took both pairs back, accused me of never having brought a brake for the new pair (???) and charged me for 8 new wheels to repair the old pair. When ever my family an I are in Miami, we always take the time to visit one of Coconut Groves most iconic surf shop, Catch-A-Wave. The store is family owned and operated and has been a fixture in "The Grove" for as long as I can remember. They have it all and then some, my daughters go straight for the swimsuits and clothes while I check out all the surf toys and skateboards.
