I have been a regular at So Thai So Good ever since it opened in late 2014. I usually come here for lunch, so I am pretty well acquainted with their set lunch menus. They specialize in Thai and Thai-fusion cuisines, so if you're looking for Asian-inspired food within the TST vicinity that offers comfortable seating, So Thai So Good is a pretty good choice. The restaurant itself is quite new, decor is relaxing and the food is always up to standard.
Their set lunches cost HKD72 (10% service charge for dine-in) and there are four choices for your mains. Each set comes with a soup/ salad, a main and a drink. Their choice of mains are quite diverse - there is always a a meat-based option paired with fries/ greens, a pasta option, a fried rice option (my favorite) and another Thai-inspired dish (e.g. Pad Thai/ Curry). However, on a few occasions, their rice was lukewarm when delivered to the table, probably because the chef had to cook several portions in one go and plate them separately. Just a minor problem that the staff are more than willing to help out with! Portions are heartily sized as well - I personally can never finish my main! Oh and if you have a sweet tooth, you can also opt to add their daily dessert for a small fee.
Lunch menus change every week, which is great for those working in the TST area and are looking for non-repetitive lunch options. They also do take-aways, and the packing utensils provided are neat, tidy and user-friendly. Service is good (kudos to Roland who always takes good care of me) but sometimes they do get quite busy during lunchtime. Make a reservation if you can to secure a seat near the windows. read more
