Got diverted from our original dinner plans and decided to head to So Italian for the first time. We ordered a couple of the Ryan's sticks. These are breadsticks with pepperoni in them. They were pretty good. One of my dining partners ordered the lasagna with 1/2 marinara and 1/2 Alfredo. They said it was a bit dry, but otherwise pretty good. The other had the chicken parmigiana sub. They said it was good, chicken was juicy. I opted for the meatball sub. The meatballs were pretty good but the bread was the star of the show. Crispy yet soft and a bit chewy. Just excellent bread that made the sub outstanding. We all then shared a tiramisu dessert. I liked this quite a bit primarily because it did not have any real coffee taste to it, but my dining partners didn't like it as much for that same reason. Easy parking. Their service is great and they make sure to confirm our order before placing them. They have good vegetarian options and I even saw a vegan pizza option. Nice big area inside with lots of seating. Seating also on the patio. Didn't take long for pizza a sticks. We ordered pepperoni sticks ( at least I thought I did ) but ended up with regular sticks. They were good. Nice and hot and fresh. We got cheese and marinara. Liked the cheese. The marinara was different weird kinda chunky. Didn't really like it. The pizza was a meat pizza. I loved the super thin crust. I didn't love the ham bits. Husband liked them. Really a great amount of toppings. Different mix of cheese. I think it was Mozzarella, cheddar and provolone. It was good just different. We actually ended up here after I couldn't figure out how to go around the road construction to get to the restaurant we were going to. So if we ever end up back in Brownsburg we would definitely try another pizza with maybe just pepperoni and sausage. And try the pepperoni sticks. read more

Service is good. But if you want good lasagna, this is not the place. It feels like its been sitting in a warming pan for a few days or longer as it is just a mushy mess. I need to eat lasagna that there is a contrast in texture between the pasta and the fillings. DEF need to find a better way. I would rather they make the lasagna right ahead of time, then nuke it. Yeah, microwaving isnt the most appetizing, but WAY better than current experience. And whats the difference really? sitting on heat or heating on demand ultimately serves the same purpose. This restaurant is following a new trend of not having a server and having you order your food at a counter before you take your seat. The restaurant has a small private parking lot, a somewhat small dining area and a nice patio along the busy street that it is located. The restaurant seems religious based as it was playing K-love music and had a few scriptures posted. They have a menu full of you Italian favorites such as bread sticks, pizza, ravioli, calzones, spaghetti, and salads. They have a lunch special menu written on a chalkboard, but you have to really look to find it. The staff seemed nice enough, but the way they are set up, my interaction with them was very limited. I ordered a stuffed supreme pizza for me and my little got a kids spaghetti. It took about 15 minutes to get my food. It was all delicious. Packed with flavor. The cheese that they use in the pizza is to die for. The smallest size that the pizza came in was 12 inch. That was way too much for me. I had it for lunch, dinner and then lunch the next day. This restaurant has some very good Italian fare. It is a little pricey and the have eliminated many of the restaurant frills such as a server, but it is still worth a visit. So Italian, so delicious! This is one of my favorite places to stop by for lunch in Brownsburg :) They have a decently sized parking lot (behind the restaurant) and great service. The lunch combos are reasonably priced, given the quality and amount of food you get. The pizza slices are BIG, which is great when you're especially hungry. I tried the Caprese sub the last time I went-- there are times when bread is too dry or too soggy, but that wasn't the case here AT ALL, it was deliciously crispy. I tried the chicken parmesan ziti as well, and the pasta/chicken were good, but the sauce was the real superstar. As for desserts-- If you love tiramisu like I do, their tiramisu is a must try! And the cannoli had more chocolate than I'd like, but I loved the cream filling and I'm sure chocolate lovers would love it! read more

I had a trade in on a Groupon that was about to expire (I never used it). I decided to use it and purchase another Groupon to try a pizza place that I was close to. The deal was good and the name alone made me want to try it. I followed the instructions on the Groupon and made sure I mentioned my Groupon when I placed my order. The lady was extremely nice and courteous making my very first experience with So Italian easy. When I picked up my Supreme pizza I was immediately greeted and she asked for my name. My Groupon wouldn't process properly so she asked for help and the manager came out. He came out and explained I needed to pay a little more than the Groupon in order for it to process in their system so I purchased a soda... no worries. Chris, the manager, gave me my pizza right out of the oven and it was hot! I checked it and it looked absolutely delicious. It looked so good I had a slice in the car (don't judge me). This was my pre birthday treat and it didn't disappoint. My mom even raves about how good it was. I will definitely suggest trying this So Italian. They have another location closer to my home. Hopefully it's has the same quality and service as the location in Brownsburg. After my Donato's experience (horrible) the food angels sent me another go to in less than a week. First of all, the "stuffed pizza" is not like, a cheese stuffed crust. It's literally a stuffed pizza, with crust on both the top and the bottom like a pie, and it is absolutely phenomenal. The cheese stuffed breadsticks are great--we ordered the meat and cheese-stuffed ones but didn't get the meat, but everything else was so great I didn't mind. This place is DISCRIMINATING against customers with disabilities. I have a service dog for my diabetes. He has been through training along with myself to know his reactions to my levels of sugar. I placed my order at the counter then sat down in a booth across from the counter. The lady told me that I had to take my dog outside. I showed her the authorized paperwork where my dog has completed training. He flies on my lap (no carrier,just his service vest) no hassles what so ever. The lady took a picture of the dog's paperwork and sent it to her manager. The lady then told me that the manager said we had to go outside to eat. It's February 15. Two stars for below average, based on our first experience here. We had a few items off the menu: pizza, calzones, cheesy garlic bread. The pizza was the best of the three, slightly above average, with a decent crust and generous but not too generous toppings. The garlic bread was flavorful but too chewy and doughy for us. The calzones were not good because the crust seemed to be wrapped around the filling ingredients rather than a folded over half circle pocket, rendering the dough partially raw. The calzones were incredibly oily as well; not really sure of the source of the oil but they left more than a few tablespoons' worth on our plates. Not good. Photos of other menu items in other Yelp reviews look good enough to consider giving So Italian another try -- possibly. read more

We usually order the stuffed pizza and it is a large size with lots of crust. Fresh tasting ingredients and lots of cheese too. The carryout and pick up line is a little confusing. We ordered this for the first time today. I had the chipotle aioli pizza and it was great. It had a unique flavor and was a little spicy, but very subtle. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. She liked the sauce because it had a good flavor, but was not too sweet, the meatballs were nicely seasoned but not too much. She also said the salad was fresh and had a great French dressing. Service was great! Went out for a quick bite with my two kids and this place was the perfect distance from our house. Our bill was $25 and some change for all three of us. We ordered an order of 4 plain breadsticks that came with 2 sauces of your choice (cheese, marinara, or garlic butter) we went with the cheese sauce. We love cheese!! My daughter ordered chicken Alfredo, which she enjoyed. I think it definitely looked delicious, but I didn't try it. I know! How dare I not try some for the sake of this review. We also ordered 2 regular size drinks and my daughter went with a water (she didn't consume soda)....She's a total weirdo. My son wasn't a big fan of the pizza. I thought it was ok and I would mind eating it again. I do think there's definitely way better options in Brownsburg, but the breadsticks were delish. I will be coming back for more, soon, very soon lol The ingredients on the pizza were definitely good quality and the pizza had just the right amount of yummy tomato sauce. I think what turned us off was the lack of cheese despite ordering extra cheese.
