Offer variety of selections. A bit pricier than other food courts in the area but the portion is very generous.

Humongous bowl of tofu soup with noodles and a regular tofu soup and rice

I've been craving silken tofu soup (soondubu jjigae) since I've moved to DC several months ago and finally got my fix. Simple but tasty. My boyfriend friend ordered the tofu soup with noodles and it was humongous. I'll stick to my bowl of rice, thank you. Great flavors and super friendly young dude working the register. Props to the tasty free banchan they give you (pickled cucumbers and bean sprouts).

2nd time trying this place. I have been to the Super H but did not realise there are some restaurants (food court) on one side if the store. We had the Seafood pancake (my favorite type). We had the Bibimbab with mixed rice, assorted vegtables, and a sunny side egg ($16.95. Comes with several sides. Was very delicious. I had the kalbi (marinated short ribs) absolutely loved them. Comes with rice, kimchi, bean sprouts. Overall one of my favorite places

3/3/20 This past Friday we went to check out the Korean Market and get something to eat here. I have a feeling we will be making this a weekly thing. The young lady who took our orders was very informative about the various dishes. Since I despise spicy food, she told me about the foods to stay away from or things could go badly for me. The food I ordered was delicious, but I can't remember the name of the dish I got right now. Hopefully the photos will tell you what it is. During our meal, we got the pleasure of hearing a Ms. Rozee who is a singer and song writer and creative director. She looked familiar to me, but can't remember where we have met before. Her information is in the pictures I have provided. Eating and watching live entertainment is a great experience. I hope to see this again next Friday.

My husband ordered this for dinner. It was a really big portion. He had it for two meals. They definitely gave you a lot of noodles! The soup was a little too salty for me though...

Kimchi Soondubu with ramen comes with beef. Yum!

I've eaten here several times now, finishing each meal with a happy belly. I tend to go for the kimchi soondubu which comes with beef. If you have it with ramen, the broth seems to be a little thinner than the traditional style in the pot without ramen. That version is a little heartier, and served with rice so it just depends what kind of mood you're in. The seafood pancake and kimchi pancake is delicious. Perfect crisp. I also enjoy the banchan served with the dishes. This past time I was enjoying my meal, the older gentleman working at the counter yelled across to ask if I needed or wanted anymore banchan. So sweet of him! I did not resist, and had some extra pickled chayote and cucumbers. Hope you enjoy it too!

a.k.a. So Gong Dong Tofu & BBQ We tried 3 Tofu noodle soups ($11.99) of various spice levels & 3 different types of Hot Stone Bibimbop ($14.99). Tofu Noodle Soups need a bit more flavor than just red chili pepper flakes. Perhaps we should've just ordered the Tofu Soups which were cheaper. Bibimbop is on the pricey side. However, presentations were nice & can't complain about the taste. The restaurant needs to work on getting it organized. Whoever does the last minute thing, each of us had a side dish missing or someone had sprinkles of sesame seeds vs none. The reasons I can't give perfect score aren't really in their control. I didn't like that we had hard time finding a parking spot, a table & chairs to eat at, and it's very noisy.

For three people, we got the Combo 2 (brisket, pork belly, bulgogi and galbi) large portion for $138--this was plenty of food for us, we couldn't even finish it all, had to pack it to-go! My favorite was the Marinated Short Rib Galbi--meat was tender and flavorful. The Soybean Soup, Angry Egg and Corn Cheese were included too--all delicious. Service was great as well. Our server Subin was super cool and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Great service (oddly they're all REALLY attractive Asian guys... save for the front desk girl - and I'm a straight, married, asian male), prices are great for the quality of meat and service you get (they cook for you) They come with the little appetizer plates like most Korean restaurants do, and they all have their own little twist to them, not super vanilla but still keeping to their roots and simple flavors. The green onion one was particularly memorable Our side dishes were excellent. Cheesy corn and seafood pancake. Both come out in cast iron pan, so it's piping hot and super fresh. Corn is hella cheesy and paired great with the appetizers. The seafood pancake was DENSE - really packed with seafood and not so much filler We got their combo so it came with kimchi soup and egg soufflé. The soup was very simple, very spicy. The soufflé was a nice contrast - light, fluffy, honestly almost felt like a desert. We definitely done made a mistake because for two of us, by this time the meats were ready to be cooked, we were about 60% full - and there were 4 meats to cook through We got brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, and another beef I don't remember - ended up taking about 1/3 of it home and half the pancake Our server was attentive and busy managing other tables so it's great to see all these guys staying sharp Considering how much food we took home, the bill was quite reasonable. Eyes were definitely bigger than our stomach this time tldr; fantastic kbbq served by ridiculous hot Asian guys. You need a reservation to get a table here

Unlike other KBBQ spots, it's not AYCE. Instead, you order combos or a la carte meats, which highlights the quality of what you're getting! For our meal, we ordered a feast of the Chosun Hwaro Combo (Medium), Baekdusan bulgogi, japchae, and bibim naengmyun. The meat quality here is extremely PREMIUM and every bite was super juicy, tender, and packed with flavor! I cannot stop thinking about the Baekdusan bulgogi because it was truly a savory MEAT MOUNTAIN. Our kind server gave us a pro tip to mix the sauce with rice. That completely changed the dish for me! The sauce soaking into the rice made it unbelievably rich and satisfying. I loved that the combos come with steamed egg and soybean paste stew, which were comforting sides alongside all the grilled meat and ban chan (kimchi, radish, etc) already at the table. As for my noodle dishes, I usually never order japchae, but I did and this one ended up being the best japchae of my life. It was PACKED with so many flavorful meat and vegetable toppings. To finish the meal, we got bibim naengmyun, which is my favorite Korean cold noodle dish. It was so refreshing, chewy, and the perfect way to balance out all the grilled meats. Between the amazing high-quality meats, entrees, and thoughtful service, Chosun Hwaro was a memorable meal and definitely a spot I'd return to whenever I'm craving delicious Korean BBQ in Virginia!!

The menu was extensive, filled with lots of homey options that I don't usually see in other restaurants. After ordering, we were served six different banchans, all of which were incredibly homey -- light and not too savory. My favorites were the acorn jelly (which was mixed with salted seaweed and sesame seeds) and the white kimchi. Honestly, all six were really solid. AL TANG - 19.99 Super savory with lots of "sea sweetness" and umami, this stew was rich and piping hot upon arrival. I've never had al tang before, but have heard great things about it. Unfortunately, I didn't love the texture of fish roe (kind of reminded me of the texture of cooked chicken lungs). By the end of the stew, I thought it was too salty, so I didn't end up finishing it. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but I probably won't get it again. My friend got the mackerel which he loved. I'll look forward to other items on the menu next time.
