The second thing was the lack of correct equipment. He used thick rusty pliers (which is incredibly risky because this piercing is STILL HEALING!!) and scissors instead of ring opening pliers of flat nose pliers. My brand new, expensive jewlery broke in his hands without compensation. He stated "this is the risk that you take". However, no risk was stated and there was no debriefing done. I've had rings of a similar gauge opened just fine. I'm very disappointed because My jewelry broke before I could wear it out and it was a waste of money because I cannot wear it anymore. He stated to me that "i've never seen a septum piercing this large before" which i could understand, but to me it shows that he should've declined the job if he knew he didn't have experience in it. This is my second weird experience with my septum piercing at this shop. The first time was when the piercer tried telling me what gauge i was at (assumed 16) and debated with me about with me knowing it was a 12. Then proceeded to say 20 gauge is thicker and 16 is thinner, which is opposite. The people on the piercing side here do not know what they are doing.

It's basically a hand snapping with little stars and planets around it. The problem is that the hand wasn't done as neatly as I would've liked it to be. The stars were not either, they are VERY simple stars. What left a bad taste in my mouth was after the tattoo was done I'd also realized he left some little but major details out. When I left the shop I observed my tattoo more and more until I realized and had to go back to tell him what he forgot. He apologized and added what was missing. As I started to leave the shop I realized he forgot to bandage me again, so I reminded him. Apologized again. Apologies are great and all but if you are in the profession of putting PERMANENT tattoos on peoples bodies you should be taking this WAY more seriously! Just my opinion! I will not go back. I had a horrible piercing experience at a shop in Elmhurst about a month ago (what a Valentine's Day nightmare) trying to get a VCH and was given a distorted version of an Isabella piercing that actually went through my glans! I reached out to Cassi on IG at almost midnight the same night going through a panic attack and she gave me her heartfelt sympathy and walked me through my options. She told me once the piercing area was fully healed to come see her. Well yesterday was Friday the 13th and I figured what better way to get rid of my bad experience by getting my VCH done properly! Cassi worked me last minute to get my appointment time and when I showed up she immediately put my mind at ease. I was going through bad PTSD from the blinding white hot pain from last time and Cassi was so patient with me. She gave me extra time to relax and mentally prepare myself, telling me everything she was doing and making sure I knew exactly what was happening. 3 seconds of minor pain later, and the piercing was done! Compared to other piercings I have, this one was a breeze. All my panicking was rewarded with a beautiful piercing that was finally done the right way! Thank you Cassi for being so kind, wonderfully patient, and perfectly professional. I don't know what I would have done without you and I'm so glad I'll never have to find out! This place is honestly the best. I've known Cassi since she was at NY Adorned and she was always a bright shining light there. Even my mother is obsessed with her! So glad she got her own space. It's everything you could want; clean, quiet, chic and friendly. You won't feel rushed, they're more than happy to discuss your options with you, explain their process and reasoning. It's perfect for people who have been in the scene forever but also for the newbies who just want to feel safe about something that can be intimidating. I couldn't recommend this place more, whether you're full of holes or just want get that second stud on your ear. Plus the jewelry is GORGEOUS. Wow what an amazing experience! I rarely leave reviews but you have to give credit where it is due. Cassi is so patient, takes her time to make you feel comfortable and answer any questions. I went in for a conch piercing and to downsize my helix piercing(thought I was only going to change the post ended up getting a whole new earning, too many cute options!). Cassi took her time to personalize my experience. She looked at my ear before I started looking at jewelry so she can make sure that the jewelry I picked out fit my ear perfectly. i got a snug piercing done by cassi last december! it's a super rare piercing that not everyone can get, and not everyone is qualified to do it! but cassi is. she's super knowledgeable and is literally the sweetest! she comforted me through the entire process, and i was also given piercing aftercare! i thought it would take an entire year to heal but it healed in three months :) still spraying it every other day, i promise! read more
