Let me start off by saying I love my tattoo courtesy of Big Mike. He did a great job and I hope to be back again. Now, I was a walk-in but I had emailed with them several times regarding price and availability. I appreciate that they told me to call before coming in (which I did) because I didn't want to go in vain. Big Mike is super nice, chill and very easy to talk to. I'm a teacher and he's a soon to be art teacher so we bonded over that. Really cool guy and very patient and understanding. Mike took the time to search for fonts that resembled what I wanted and then trying out different sizes, never once rushing the process which I appreciated. Once the tattoo outline was placed on my skin, he again asked me if the placement was what I wanted and size, again thanks for doing that. Overall, loved my experience here, have & will continue to recommend. Super clean, friendly artists, in & out in 30 mins. I got a tattoo by Shamil which was around 2 inches and simple line work and it was not the best. We had discussed and printed out exactly what the tattoo would be before hand. It's basically a hand snapping with little stars and planets around it. The problem is that the hand wasn't done as neatly as I would've liked it to be. The stars were not either, they are VERY simple stars. What left a bad taste in my mouth was after the tattoo was done I'd also realized he left some little but major details out. When I left the shop I observed my tattoo more and more until I realized and had to go back to tell him what he forgot. He apologized and added what was missing. As I started to leave the shop I realized he forgot to bandage me again, so I reminded him. Apologized again. Apologies are great and all but if you are in the profession of putting PERMANENT tattoos on peoples bodies you should be taking this WAY more seriously! Just my opinion! I will not go back. Went here with my friend to get HER tattoo. So this review is solely based on her experience as well as mine in terms of service. The place is upstairs with creepy neon lights and signs that I actually really enjoyed... in a weird way. It was like entering a haunted stairway, which could be freaking exciting. I entered and saw this huge waiting area, as well as glass counters and tattoo art everywhere. You simply have to tell your name and that you have an appointment waiting for you, so I assume you need to make reservations before hand. Tattoos range from $80-$$$. You need to show them the picture/ tattoo you are using. They also give you a size reference before actually stenciling it onto you. As my friend and I entered, of course my friend was scared, so I held her hand. It was a cool experience and very chill corner. I saw the tattoo artist's work all around his station, and it was very mesmerizing. My friend mentioned that it didn't hurt at first until the tattoo got closer to her bones. After she was done, she gave the tattoo artist a tip. The artist also gave suggestions of what to do after the tattoo was given. Recently got a $550 tattoo at this shop. I am a designer so the tattoo I wanted was designed by me. The artist who did my tattoo did not follow my design. Naturally I was upset and reached out to the shop to let them know about my experience. At first they were super accommodating and told me to reach out in a month once it was healed. I reached back out about a month later as instructed and they lied and told me the shop was closed for business. I do not recommend anyone to go to this place ever. For the amount of work that he did and his attention to detail, I was honestly willing to pay more. So for the quality work that you get, the prices are definitely fair. I was REALLY excited about getting my first arm tattoo (tattoo number 9 for me) and was greeted instantly and felt super welcome. I admit in my adrenaline rush I didn't pay as much attention as I should have during the process--the tattoo came out crooked and thin. Not what I hoped it would be when initially selecting the design. Also a few days later my tattoo became infected. This was my third visit and We always leave satisfied. We all went in for either a nose piercing or to change our stud piercing into a hoop. They are very nice and professional. I went in for Friday the 13th tattoos and it was the biggest mistake I could make. The artists were not friendly. They treated people like cattle. And the guy who did my tattoo was only interested in knocking out numbers to beat the record. He didn't ask my name, didn't ask any information at all, wasn't interested in me being a paying costumer. He didn't have a table to use for my tattoo so he put me in a computer chair to lean back in. He fucked my tattoo up to a point where I had to go pay a REAL professional to fix it. I got a simple out line of a heart. The most simple selection on the board. It came as a stencil. How could someone mess up so badly????? You get what you pay for. Beware. However, I have participated in 13 dollar tattoos in other shops and they were able to give me a perfect tattoo. I was tattooed here on June 2nd. I decided to get a quote to signify my recent accomplishments and to see when I need a push. Initially I called to inquire about an appointment whoever answered the phone was extremely rude and scoffed at all my questions. Even after this encounter I figured I would physically go down to the place and talk to somebody. Upon arriving I was greeted by a friendly guy. Unfortunately I was so anxious and nervous about getting a tattoo I forgot to ask his name. There were only 2 people tattooing that day and one was tattooing a women when I got there already. (He looked like he specialized in Asian tattoos) anyway it was time to get the tattoo, I was happy with the placement and font. While I was actually sitting down getting the tattoo I felt when the artist pushed very deep into my skin, immediately after that he stopped and looked at the tattoo. I should have said something. After he was done I looked at the tattoo in the mirror it looked pretty good (exact words) not spectacular by any means. I figured when I got home I would further inspect it. When I got home and took off the dressing immediately I noticed the ink looked like it had spread out from the lines in certain places. I was pissed. I looked it up online and most people said to wait until it heals and then see how it looks. I waited the two weeks and to my displeasure the tattoo looked worse (the word that is blown out is illegible), and during this time I noticed a few other letters in the tattoo were fading or missing ink. In addition to this the tattoo appears to go from big to small. I'm not happy at all with what I received. What was supposed to be a happy reminder has turned into something I don't even want to look at. I messaged the shop days ago and have yet to receive any response, this is very unprofessional. They might very well do good tattoos and maybe what happened with mine was just a fluke but even if that's the case the way they blatantly ignored my email is very telling. I would not recommend anyone get tattooed here. read more

AWFUL! Please DO NOT GO HERE. Lucky did a terrible job. I was so clear on what I wanted, spent hours with him at the shop drawing and drafting the perfect outline. The tattoo was supposed to be a hollow exclamation mark and he filled the whole thing in because he could not draw a straight line. Took way longer than normal. The whole thing is jagged. Just got my nose pierced and the piercer was absolute perfection. She was really nice, did an amazing job, and made sure that everything was to your liking. It so quick and easy, she did a lot of the handling of the tools in front of you, and made sure that you were comfortable. This is my second tattoo and I got it in my inner bicep. I was preparing to cry but can't say it was the worst pain ever. Samantha was quick, but at the same time, the tattoo came out detailed. It took maybe 2-2.5 hours. I found her on Instagram and liked the way she did roses. She resketched for me as well. My roses came out very well and it also healed nicely. Terrible customer service & extremely unprofessional. There's a tattoo "artist" by the name of "Shamil" - who we scheduled an appointment with. He was so rude and unprofessional, did not listen to what the customer (we) wanted and had previously asked for/discussed prior to coming in. No one greeted us when we first walked in and everyone seemed to have bad energy. We waited a few minutes for him to come over and discuss the appointment details.. nope! He comes over with an attitude and grabs my arm to put some horrific stencil/tattoo design over my wrist to size it up. It was not what we wanted at all. He raised his voice because we simply told him this was not what we discussed. He didn't listen to any of the details nor personal requests. Continued to reiterate that we have "wasted his time" and we were just disgusted. He insulted us as customers and as artists (as if we didn't know what we were talking about) - then stormed off and cursed while walking away. This place had a cool vibe. They don't charge the premium like in Manhattan. The artists working here are super chill, not trying to get you in and out and take your money like them places in the West Village. They worked with me on my concepts and wasn't going to ink me until I was completely satisfied with the artwork. I would definitely recommend this place for tattoos. read more

Big Bang ink seemed very promising so we reserved a spot beforehand. My boyfriend actually joined us so all three of us could get tattooed and needless to say, the experience was exceptional. Grey did a great job with making sure we were completely satisfied with the design, size and placement before starting. The results went above and beyond my expectations and he was very reassuring about the pain level (first tattoo experience lol). All 3 of us were incredibly happy with how our tattoos turned out. They absolutely wasted my gas and time!!! I had called a week earlier to make an appointment for today and made sure really well that they would take me in today. So the last thing they told me was yes come in at 12pm bc they had an appointment at a different time. When i arrive to my surprise theyre closed mind you i had been sending emails back and forth to make sure since i come from queens on the other side...
