The leaks are where he added on to our existing home, and we choose to avoid issues to not just add to the roof but completely redo the whole thing! We invested the extra money ironically hoping to have a worry free addition using all new. The first electrical issue was related to the fire detector in the room addition being installed incorrectly, so it kept going off. The second was a short in the new wiring in the kitchen addition done by Mike. When hired Mike talked a good sales pitch he promised to always stand by his work. We've tried to seek his help over the last 8 years with numerous issues undeniably related to the addition and he will not repair his work. When called a gal named Rhonda answers.... Promises to help but then ghosts you. Contacting a company you paid over $70k for should receive at a minimum a response. We reached out simply to obtain documents or proof on our roof warranty seeing that most have a 10 year warranty. We didn't want him or his team back in the home considering his work is a danger but we did want to check warranties seeing that the roof he did had leaked several times (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2025) all at the joints of the addition. Simply put..... stay away from this company, not only is the workmanship a failure but there is zero accountability and integrity from the owner.

The project involved multiple contracts and payments, but the billing was never clearly reconciled. Beginning in November 2025, I repeatedly provided written summaries of contracts, payments, and balances and asked for confirmation or correction. I did not receive a clear written reconciliation explaining how totals were calculated or how payments were applied. We eventually met and discussed the project, and while we now understand each other's positions, we do not agree on the outcome. A key issue is the treatment of a prior $18,000 payment within revised kitchen/flooring contracts, which remains in dispute. There were also instances where similar scope appeared across multiple contracts without clear explanation of whether work was included, replaced, or added. In addition, some pricing--particularly electrical work--expanded significantly without clear upfront definition. The project has taken much longer than originally discussed. The ADU was expected to be completed in about 90 days, but more than a year later it is still not fully usable. My kitchen is also not usable. Cabinet doors have not been installed, and the space is filled with materials and items moved during construction, making it difficult to access or use normally. Because I need to use the ADU kitchen due to the condition of the main kitchen, I have been unable to rent out the ADU despite having a tenant ready. I am still trying to resolve the billing issues and get a clear plan to complete the remaining work.

We were assured that they did not need to lay a liner down for weeds because the layer of rock would be so thick weeds would not grow through. That was not true. I have been texting and calling the owner of the company for weeks to come and make this right. I even offered to pay them to come and spray the weeds that they guaranteed wouldn't grow through. Throughout all of the work, "reliable" wouldn't be a word i use to describe this company. The owner is not reliable by any means of the word.
