I knew I needed a chimney cap, but was worried about other things that had come up from another inspection before we moved in. Mark was able to help prioritize what was important and to focus on for a fraction of the cost to keep our chimney safe and secure. He pointed out some things to consider, but never did the hard sell or pushed in any way. If ever we need or do more there, he's the first one I'll call!

We were shocked about the high quotes and a bit skeptical. This came at a time where the vintage heater ( I think it was original and very old) broke down too and needed to be replaced. One problem at a time & We did not use it since then & had it covered up. I gave it another try this month since I miss a fireplace burning during the Hollidays. I came across the reviews for MARK - THE L.A. SWEEP and called for a inspection and cleaning ($189) to hear his thoughts on our chimney dilemma and if he would confirm the previous quotes or not. Mark was able to schedule us in quickly and showed up punctual. He was very professional with lots of knowledgeable and took his time to inspect and clean the chimney very thoroughly . He advised about the upkeep and gave us helpful info on logs vs. wood etc. which was very informative. After the inspection following was shared with us: *We need 2 Chimney Caps since they were missing and he installed them after the inspection. ($129 each) *A Damper was missing and he noted this on his report for future installation option for a reasonable price. ($399) Nothing close to the quotes the other companies gave us at all, instead we got an honest breakdown on what is needed and suggested with reasonable prices. Mark is very personable, honest & funny and made the whole experience easy while getting our fireplace back to working and safe conditions. I can very highly recommend Mark and will call on him for the Damper install and future cleanings and inspections.

The scheduling process was arduous and dispiriting. After signing the work authorization form and calling the office I was told that the confirmation of appointment only occurs at the end of the day over text. I didn't get a text til the next day, and then a tenuous promise of being scheduled for Friday morning only to be informed the night before that it wasn't happening. And then no guarantee of work happening on Monday. This entire process made me feel small. I'm trying to them you a job worth thousands of dollars and they couldn't even schedule an appointment over the phone. This whole process made me feel unvalued and like my water damage didn't matter. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

The next day, about 1/2hr before the appt. window time, Ansel called to confirm the appt. He showed up at 12:25pm and after taking some measurements and inspecting the area, he gave his estimate. Very polite and professional guy, and friendly. His bid was straighforward, and actually was exactly the same as a contractor that the plumber we used recommended. After tossing the pros and cons betw. the 2 estimates, we decided to go with Ansel based on the reviews and that I like he is a no-nonsense and to the point kinda of contractor for the job. On the scheduled day, James called at 10am to let me know Ansel and his guys are on their way. Barely 10mins later, Ansel showed up with Roy and their helper, Justin. They got to work right away. Quick and efficient. Four hours later, they were done. Any debris was packed and haul-away in their truck. Paid him and off they go to their next job. Highly recommend.

They are super nice, their work is detailed and their prices are quite reasonable considering the travel time and number of people they will need to send over to get the work done quickly. If I have any work to be done in the future, I would definitely call them again.

I had no idea it would be so hard to find someone to fix doors in a city of millions until I needed it. I contacted a number of very highly rated door repairman that I found on Yelp. High ratings, numerous ratings. It was hopeless. They either wanted a small fortune to come out for an estimate or acted like it was our privilege that they called us back at all. Desperate, I took a shot on L5, they had great ratings, but not many. It was a great experience from the beginning. I got a phone call right away from the owner, then Diego, our technician called us shortly after that to schedule. He was able to come on a Sunday morning. He showed up early, and was courteous and professional. The estimate was free, and he gave us a very fair quote. We were able to schedule the service for a Wednesday after work. Diego and his coworker showed up early again, and completed their work within the estimated time. Our door works. For the first time since we've had the house, the front door doesn't stick, and I don't have to tackle it like a football player to shut it. The lock was perfectly realigned, and we are very happy with the entire experience.

From the initial inspection all the way through the completion of our roof project, Mike and his team were professional, responsive, thorough, and great to work with. We had a roof issue involving an area underneath our solar panels, so this was not a simple repair. Mike took the time to explain the process, answer every question I had, and make sure the scope of work was clearly documented before we moved forward. There was never any pressure, and communication throughout the process was excellent. Once the work began, his team did a fantastic job. They carefully removed and reinstalled our solar panels, lifted and relaid the roof tiles, addressed the waterproofing underneath, and made sure everything was properly put back together. They worked efficiently, respected our property, and left the area clean when the job was finished. What impressed me most was that the professionalism we experienced before signing the contract continued after they had the job. That's important to me. Mike stood behind what he told us, and his team delivered. After dealing with this roof issue for quite some time, it feels good to finally have the work handled properly and professionally. Thank you, Mike, and the entire Roof Masters team, for the fantastic work and great customer service from start to finish. Definitely a 5-star experience, and I would highly recommend them!
