I scheduled the appointment to have a 12.3 Android Car Play unit in my Mercedes-Benz. I showed up this morning and met with Arian, a true professional at his trade as well as a kind, honest and knowledgeable individual. The shop is meticulously maintained and has a vast array of tools, work bench areas, awesome LED ceiling lighting, a waiting area, front office and conference/training room. This shop and team of professionals are a class act. Arian explained the installation process and timeline and I was quite impressed. The Rolls Royce in the shop that was getting customized with lighting and sound was a testament to the quality of work that Arian, Sam and the other team members provide when you bring your car into the shop. Arian called me when the car was completed and when I arrived gave me a very thorough orientation on the features, modes and operational functionality of the new unit. Very impressive and truly a plus when you have such a professional take the time to show you the details and functions of the new unit. Sam was in the shop as well as was amazing. Great customer service! These guys not only know their business and have vast knowledge of car Audio and accessories but are transparent, kind and informative professionals. Sam showed me the lighting in the Rolls Royce and also a few options that can be installed on the Mercedes-Benz. I opted for the very nice AMG entry lighting. Very cool. If you are looking for the best in the business relative to car Audio, Video and accessories you must call Sorena Car Audio and speak with Sam or Arian. This is my second review which I am labeling Phase II completion, as I did review them previously after initial contact simply due to the professionalism, knowledge, customer service and other posted industry reviews. It was put right in the middle of my windshield, which caused quite a visual distraction, and depending on who tells you, could be against California code regarding dashcam placement. When I got home, I repositioned the camera to one of the spots recommended by the manufacturer, next to the rearview mirror and out of direct line of sight. Another questionable choice, they cut a slot into the plastic that covers my cruise control wires instead of routing cables through the already present gap between the rear view mirror and plastic cover. This could be on me as well, as I never discussed preferred camera position with the business. I took a picture of the cut they made, as well as a picture with a red X to show where the camera was originally placed. Those choices, while a bit puzzling didn't really bother me enough to go back as ultimately I wanted my camera to be properly connected, and cables nicely routes and invisible. Newport Sound did all this perfectly and I am very happy with that. While this won't stop me from coming back myself, it is worth noting for other potential customers.

Mike was quick to contact me back through Yelp and offer very reasonable pricing. I was quoted up to $100 cheaper than other reputable places that offered the same service. The job for both vehicle looks good, and were done at a reasonable time (2 hrs for the Q4 with 1 person and 2.5 hrs for the S3 with 2 person). Customer service is outstanding also, I had multiple reschedules and they were understanding and gave me no issues about it. Definitely recommend and I am forever a loyal customer to this location for future projects.

It seemed like his brain couldn't fathom the possibility, and he just was stubborn enough to cost them a sale. I've done a ton of research and was planning to use it for an outdoor system that I have. I was planning to supply it with sufficient wattage of 12 V DC power, which is the same as a car battery, and I was going to put a fuse on it just like you would in a car. I also checked the speaker impedances, the gauges of the wires, and I know the max power that I could put through the speakers. I also didn't say anything about warranties or anything like that, so there was no reason why they didn't sell me the parts. He didn't mention any reason why he wouldn't provide the info, he would just comment that I should go look elsewhere, which was really bizarre if I was only on the phone with him for about two minutes. They should remedy their staffing issues.

I am writing this to warn other consumers about my experience with Stereo Blvd. I paid $2,800 on 10/25/2025 for work that was never completed. As of March 2026, the owner (Hank) still refuses to refund my $1,800 balance and has tried to delay and postpone to complete the work on my vehicle for 5 months. According to the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), this business is operating on a CANCELLED license (see attached screenshot from DCA archives showing it was cancelled in 2009). Additionally, they are performing tire and rim installations without the required Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) registration. A formal state investigation is currently active with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS Case #252602346). BAR (The Bureau of Automotive Repair) complaint confirmation reference number 65CF-MQX7MX for performing Wheel/Rim without license. Please verify any business license at search.dca.ca.gov before handing over your money. Do NOT make same mistake like mine and DO NOT believe in the owner's sweet talk but DO your thorough research and shopping ahead. ***UPDATE: In his response, the owner blames my Tesla's "16V lithium battery" for his failure. This is a massive red flag for any EV owner. The 16V system has been the standard in Teslas since 2022. By blaming the battery now, he is admitting he lacked the basic technical knowledge to work on my car, despite luring me into a $2,800 "parts deposit" by claiming he had done many of these before. A true professional would know that specialized EV audio components (like Alpine's Tesla-specific kits) are designed for this exact voltage. He took the money for a job he wasn't qualified to perform, stalled for weeks, and still hasn't provided a refund. Stay away if you own a modern EV. ***Now since I have filed complaint with California Bureau of Household Goods and Services and Bureau of Automotive Repair, the owner Hank response with "wait and see" attitude rather than issuing me the refund!

First off, I was in procurement as a Senior Buyer for many years managing intricate contracts in excess of millions of dollars. Consequently, I am trained to ask a LOT of questions before entering into a service agreement. Victor cleared the first hurdle in clearly communicating the possible issue(s) and corrective options in repairing my after-market backup camera system. Btw-When I went back to the original technician who installed the backup camera system 5-years ago, he was more than $100 over Victor's labor quote. In the end, it required completely rewiring the new backup license plate camera that I had purchased (yes, he even installs YOUR equipment if you buy it separately). During the re-install process, Victor pointed out a number of issues in the existing wiring system. While he was not bad-mouthing the other tech, he was bewildered by the reasoning and execution of a few connections made during the original installation. I suppose that is the difference between using a Master Electronic Certified Technician and just a 'tech' In short, he was professional, thorough and competitively priced. A real bonus was that Victor is a "mobile" service which allowed me to be at home working on my own projects rather than having to arrange to drop my car off and get a ride to & from some other tech's shop. I am already working on scheduling Victor to replace the Apple CarPlay unit in my wife's 2019 Subaru Forester. read more

Rocco took over after trying the traditional route and thinking that we can't afford to spend that much on this car . He first reprogrammed the unit head and amazingly it worked back perfectly. We paid about 15% of the dealership quote and we had it back. Then after learning that we can upgrade to a full 10 inch screen (she had a 5.8) I decided to give her that as a Christmas gift :) we just did the upgrade a few days ago. I paid over $600 to increase my car's radio volume. I clearly stated that sound quality was not the…read moreissue--only the overall volume. I also explained that I already had a new amp but was concerned it may not have been properly installed by my husband, and I asked that it be assessed as part of the labor. I was told the amp would be evaluated and that, if needed, the head unit could be bypassed to address any volume limiter. The salesperson continued to recommend new speakers. I agreed to replace the speakers, but I was clear that the amp assessment not existing poor sound quality was the issue. The volume issue was not resolved. The system is not louder, which was the sole purpose of the visit. I would not be raising this concern about the cost with the new speakers if the volume had actually increased. I did not pay to improve sound quality, and the current sound quality is worse than before. I was charged for a solution that did not match the problem or the agreed scope of work, and the original issue remains unresolved.

I called the company to ask questions about the amplifiers and receivers that they stock, but the…read moreguy wouldn't give me the information because I was trying to use the amplifier outside of an auto application. It seemed like his brain couldn't fathom the possibility, and he just was stubborn enough to cost them a sale. I've done a ton of research and was planning to use it for an outdoor system that I have. I was planning to supply it with sufficient wattage of 12 V DC power, which is the same as a car battery, and I was going to put a fuse on it just like you would in a car. I also checked the speaker impedances, the gauges of the wires, and I know the max power that I could put through the speakers. I also didn't say anything about warranties or anything like that, so there was no reason why they didn't sell me the parts. He didn't mention any reason why he wouldn't provide the info, he would just comment that I should go look elsewhere, which was really bizarre if I was only on the phone with him for about two minutes. They should remedy their staffing issues.
