I scheduled the appointment to have a 12.3 Android Car Play unit in my Mercedes-Benz. I showed up this morning and met with Arian, a true professional at his trade as well as a kind, honest and knowledgeable individual. The shop is meticulously maintained and has a vast array of tools, work bench areas, awesome LED ceiling lighting, a waiting area, front office and conference/training room. This shop and team of professionals are a class act. Arian explained the installation process and timeline and I was quite impressed. The Rolls Royce in the shop that was getting customized with lighting and sound was a testament to the quality of work that Arian, Sam and the other team members provide when you bring your car into the shop. Arian called me when the car was completed and when I arrived gave me a very thorough orientation on the features, modes and operational functionality of the new unit. Very impressive and truly a plus when you have such a professional take the time to show you the details and functions of the new unit. Sam was in the shop as well as was amazing. Great customer service! These guys not only know their business and have vast knowledge of car Audio and accessories but are transparent, kind and informative professionals. Sam showed me the lighting in the Rolls Royce and also a few options that can be installed on the Mercedes-Benz. I opted for the very nice AMG entry lighting. Very cool. If you are looking for the best in the business relative to car Audio, Video and accessories you must call Sorena Car Audio and speak with Sam or Arian. This is my second review which I am labeling Phase II completion, as I did review them previously after initial contact simply due to the professionalism, knowledge, customer service and other posted industry reviews. I got a…read moredashcam installed, and while (so far) everything functions well, I was a bit puzzled by the position of the dash cam. It was put right in the middle of my windshield, which caused quite a visual distraction, and depending on who tells you, could be against California code regarding dashcam placement. When I got home, I repositioned the camera to one of the spots recommended by the manufacturer, next to the rearview mirror and out of direct line of sight. Another questionable choice, they cut a slot into the plastic that covers my cruise control wires instead of routing cables through the already present gap between the rear view mirror and plastic cover. This could be on me as well, as I never discussed preferred camera position with the business. I took a picture of the cut they made, as well as a picture with a red X to show where the camera was originally placed. Those choices, while a bit puzzling didn't really bother me enough to go back as ultimately I wanted my camera to be properly connected, and cables nicely routes and invisible. Newport Sound did all this perfectly and I am very happy with that. While this won't stop me from coming back myself, it is worth noting for other potential customers.

Mike was quick to contact me back through Yelp and offer very reasonable pricing. I was quoted up to $100 cheaper than other reputable places that offered the same service. The job for both vehicle looks good, and were done at a reasonable time (2 hrs for the Q4 with 1 person and 2.5 hrs for the S3 with 2 person). Customer service is outstanding also, I had multiple reschedules and they were understanding and gave me no issues about it. Definitely recommend and I am forever a loyal customer to this location for future projects.

When he realized the mistake, he owned it immediately and covered the extra cost himself without even asking me to pay for it. That level of honesty and generosity is rare. Because of how he handled it, I insisted on paying the full quoted price. This guy is so genuine and awesome. I wish I could give him more than five stars.... With less than an hour left until the promised completion time, it was obvious the job couldn't possibly be finished as agreed. I politely explained that I needed to cancel and requested a full refund of my deposit, as they had not honored their end of the commitment. Instead, I was offered only $40 back, with the explanation that they had already ordered parts and that delays were due to other jobs running long--not their fault, according to them. I took the partial refund and left, but this left a very bad taste. If I had simply changed my mind without any issues on their side, I would understand them retaining some or all of the deposit to cover ordered parts or opportunity cost. However, they failed to deliver on the clear timeline they provided and never communicated any potential delay ahead of time, despite me checking in. Holding $60 of my money after breaking their own promised completion time feels unfair and unprofessional. Customer service should include basic communication about realistic timelines--especially when a deposit is taken and an appointment is scheduled. I expected better accountability from a business that advertises customer satisfaction as a priority. Unfortunately, this experience has made me unwilling to recommend HB Auto Sound. When I arrived to pick everything up and learned the reinstall would cost $350, I politely declined and asked to just take my equipment. I was then charged $100 for the removal. I was fine with paying a reasonable fee, but when I went to load up my car, all they had done was unscrew the subwoofer from the plastic trim -- something that would have taken me five minutes at home. Not exactly a couple hours of labor. To make matters worse, when I went to check my equipment, my subwoofer and some wiring were missing from the car. I asked twice and was told everything was there. It wasn't. The staff member had to go back into the shop to retrieve it -- meaning he had initially told me, twice, that it was already in my car when it wasn't. When I calmly questioned the $100 charge given the minimal work done, the employee became aggressive and told me to "get the f*** out" of the store. Overpriced, dishonest, and completely unprofessional. I would strongly caution anyone against coming here.

Excellent experience, last year I purchased a new Mercedes S550e. During the heat of passion, I bought the vehicle not realising it did not have the blind spot alert system option. Needless to say I was extremely upset as I was used to this option on my last car, a Lexus. The Mercedes dealer recommended I take the car to Rocco's Auto Tech to have the option added. As it turned out my vehicle, being a hybrid, was a nightmare due to the high voltage electrical system located in the vicinity where the rear censers had to be placed. Owner Joe Eyerman installed the blind spot system and made sure I was satisfied with its performance. He called me back and made several changes until the system worked as good, if not better, than the factory option. I would definitely recommend Joe's expertise to anyone needing work on any vehicle especially those with today's technical equipment. read more

Rocco's is the place to go to when you have a radio problem in a Mercedes ! Unfortunately the Mercedes we purchased out of AZ had a spill problem (coffee) and the units control buttons were all gooey and sticking. After inquiring at the local MB dealership we were told that to replace the command unit would be in the $8-9 K range I started searching the internet and came upon Joe. Well my wife and I could not say enough kind words about Joe and his employees, they had a solution and found a command unit for the car, shipped it to us on a Thursday and I had it installed by Monday. Joe also gave me the instructions as to what the local MB dealer had to do to get it up and running (SCN Codes). I agreed to replace the speakers, but I was clear that the amp assessment not existing poor sound quality was the issue. The volume issue was not resolved. The system is not louder, which was the sole purpose of the visit. I would not be raising this concern about the cost with the new speakers if the volume had actually increased. I did not pay to improve sound quality, and the current sound quality is worse than before. I was charged for a solution that did not match the problem or the agreed scope of work, and the original issue remains unresolved.
