This is the best food I've ever had. Always have to stop by when in town. Ohana Plate, Kalua Pig…read more.. Everything tastes great! A shame there isn't a ten star option. It's that good.

Looking for a quick dinner, we visited North Shore Hawaiian Plate Lunch to pick up some takeout…read more This was about 30 minutes before closing but luckily they had plenty of food left. We were served basically instantly. It was ready maybe 10 seconds after paying. Regular Plate ($13) - A regular plate comes with two sides and one meat. Meat: Kalua Pork - The pork is decently flavorful and very tender, not dry at all. It's served in a ton of the braising liquid for some reason. The meat tastes mostly good with one major issue - it's way too salty. Like my mouth felt like it was getting desiccated with every bite and I had to chug water afterwards. That's not a pleasant feeling. I wonder if it's because we went near the end of the day and they were picking up the dregs of pork from the bottom of the container? Side 1: Mac Salad - Soft macaroni in a creamy and tangy mayo and apple cider vinegar based sauce. It's peppery and very salty, mixed with small diced fresh carrot and cucumber. The mac salad is a little liquidy given the small pool of water on the bottom. Side 2: Rice - Very, very mushy rice, clearly cooked incorrectly with too much water added, melded together into a ball. It's the only non-salty food item on the dish and is really needed to temper out some of the salt in the pork and mac salad. I mean, the food is fine I guess. Way too salty for my tastes, but I certainly didn't expect to find Hawaiian food in Klamath Falls in the first place.
