Vegan reviewer here! What a sweet way to start off the new year ice cream So excited to see Snowtime have a vegan soft serve at their new location. I went around noon and was immediately greeted by the owner. She was so friendly and welcoming and talked me through the different options they had and could make vegan. I was really interested in the mango coconut soft serve and got that in a bowl instead with coconut shavings and strawberries. Wow it was one of the best fruit soft serves I've ever had! I actually ordered another to go and found out they use real mango in it not just flavoring The location was specious and clean with a great patio right off the freeway. The fish cone and snow were pretty good! I tried the Matcha Love snow and it wasn't overly sweet. It was mostly ice and the flavors are just toppings, this worked to my favor since it'd be too sweet for me if the whole thing was flavored. I did run out of toppings before I could finish all the ice though. Also the cup holding the ice was so full that it was hard to dig in without making a mess first. It'd work out better if they increase the cup size, or place it in some reusable dish for the ones eating in. Inside was nice and new. Wasn't anyone inside when I went but unfortunately quite a few tables were left dirty. It is pricy. While pretty good not sure if it's over $8 after tax good. Including tips I paid over $10 for a single regular sized item. The portion and flavor doesn't really match to the price point for me. read more

Taro soft-serve ice cream? I mean c'mon... They do a phenomenal job on the flavor and texture of the soft serve. Mcdonald's is a little "icy" and this is just "smooth" I don't know how they do it. I've been to both this location and the one inside HMart in Mesa - both are very consistent. 5 out of 5. read more

Cute spacious layout. Nice and clean. Only funny thing was my dad kept bumping his head on the dangling ceiling lights. Sunset fruit bingsoo and black sesame bingsoo were very refreshing. not too sweet so it didn't make you more thirsty which i liked. wanted to try some boba. service was friendly and courteous as well. read more

Don't let the good ratings fool you. I have given this place chance after chance and the customer service is horrible by all these young kids who don't know what their doing or care to make things right when they screw up and order. Either the waffle fishes are under cooked or over cooked or they mess an order up and don't give you what you ask for. You go back and advise and they stare at you like your stupid. They don't refund, they don't give credits , they reluctantly make things right when you address an issue. Then of course they start talking in the back or under their breaths. They are also reluctant to give ingredient info. Never again. I tried. Dear owner, your reply to my review is false. You have the wrong customer bc myself nor my kids do not eat anything strawberry related. I have experienced myself multiple times the over and under cooked waffle as well as horrible customer service from those employees you stand by. Your response proves my point. You guys don't own and take accountability. I'm sure that's how you trained them. I've seen you walk back and fourth between the two businesses and you yourself also look rude. Like I said. We went there and ordered 3 different kinds of fish ice cream. They were huge and we couldn't not even finish them before they melt Red bean filling tasted fresh with hinted sweetness and mango coconut flavor was vegan. I love fresh fruit with shaved ice and being lactose intolerant, having the coconut milk ice option was so awesome!! We came here because it was one of the only dessert places open still. The fish cones are super cute! The toppings here are excellent and it's a creative way to have "ice cream". I like that they have a few dairy free options. However, the "snow" on the bottom if the toppings is pretty much tasteless. This would be refreshing for a hot day, but taste wise it leaves for wanting more. I would recommend getting something that can mix in with the "snow" well to give it flavor. I had only fruit and top and once I got through that I threw the rest out. read more

This is definitely my favorite place to get bubble tea! I have been going to the snowtime in Mesa for a while and when I found out they were opening a location 10 min from my house, I was ecstatic !! I have never disliked anything I have gotten here and my favorite drinks are the peachy lychee tea (with popping boba added) or their classic brown sugar milk tea (perfectly sweetened and the honey boba is cooked perfectly !) Delicious soft serve ice cream with a soft Nutella filled fish cone. Cone was made fresh in front of me and layered heavy with vanilla/strawberry mixed ice cream. The ice cream was light and flavorful...definitely hit the spot. Service was very friendly and helpful and ultimately helped us make a decision. The entire establishment was very clean and inviting. I can't get enough of the fish cone delights! I've only had the taro and coconut mango swirl with the custard filling...so yummy!! I have also tried the strawberry ube latte with the honey boba. It was good but a little too sweet and rich for me but it might be yummy for someone with a sweeter tooth. Establishment is super cute and clean. When I saw an ice cream shop with something called a fish bun I needed to try it out. Snowtime is the newest addition in Ahwatukee's Towne Center and they sweet treats, sweet drinks, and some very interesting flavor combinations. The location is perfect, right next to the movie theatre which provides a perfect post-movie treat. The main draw here is the fish. To my delight, no actual fish is served with your ice cream. Instead they serve fish buns and fish cones which are basically waffles in the shape of fish. The nice part about these, instead of a normal waffle cone, is the waffle is thick, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside like a good Belgian waffle should be. The ice cream is good, I wouldn't say great, soft serve available in some cool flavors like taro or black sesame. I enjoyed the fish buns which are stuffed waffles with your choice of pb&j, custard, red bean, nutella, or cheese. Unlike a normal ice cream store that can serve quickly, they are cooking fresh waffles too so expect a 5-10 minute wait for your order. read more

I watch the two young guys working the counter literally ignore customers coming in because they where to busy with some thing else. Atleast be polite and say something to the customer. My kids loved this place at the other location in Chandler, so we were delighted when this new branch opened up just a few miles from our house. It is a local family run place with wonderful Asian/Korean inspired desserts. I think there are now 3 branches throughout the valley, after the opening of this new one. Everyone should try this, lots of unique and healthy options (I guess they have unhealthy options too, like the Double Oreo bowl that my son likes ). The best thing for me are the popping pearls, tiny dessert balls that pop with mango/passion fruit/strawberry etc flavors. It's a fun place, very big with lots of seating, I can't recommend it enough!! Beware that a small size is huge if it's just for one person, I don't know how big a medium or large must be. Good concept. Tried the tira-miss-you classic snow. The base which is milk ice cream shaved gets little plain towards the end. If there would have been a layer of coffee or chocolate to give some flavor kick would have been awesome! The tiramisu ice cream pieces were delicious so was the scoop of ice cream. Good dessert would try again if they have options to have some flavors in between the snow or the milk shave ice! Definitely give a try, will try out the fish cone soft serve next time! read more

I really like this place. The shaved ice is really good and the fish buns are amazing. The fish shape buns are just like they should be with a crispy crust and a soft interior that is not mushy. The custard filling is also very good. I have never tried the red bean filling before though from the store. While the employees did not cut out the fish shaped buns exactly I don't mind because I ended up with more to eat than I would have otherwise. The only downside is that the picture doesn't look as nice as it should. Make sure you don't burn yourself or your mouth when eating the fish shape buns because they come out piping hot and I have to wait a little longer for them to cool down before I can get to eating them. The store has a little waffle maker device that cooks the dough in the fish shape but the employees put the custard or filling on the top of the dough before closing the lid. They also have to put extra dough on the top of the filling before closing the lid so the dough keeps the shape and the filling doesn't appear on the outside of the dough. read more

I genuinely crave this place all the time. We went to their east valley location originally and I was obsessed so it was so exciting when this location opened up as it's a bit closer to us. (We still are around 45 mins away, but it's so worth it.) Their teas are delicious. I personally love the brown sugar one with the honey boba that we got at their grand opening. But their miss you matcha speciality snow bowl is literally the most delicious thing I've tried. (Matcha is kinda an acquired taste) Customer service is really good and both locations are clean and cute. I recommend this place to everyone I know and will probably find myself back there sooner, rather than later because it's that good! read more
