We ordered a milk snow bowl thay comes with milk flavored shaved ice, condensed milk drizzled on top, some red bean and mochi on top. It was super refreshing and tasty! We also got chocolate filled taiyaki, which was good but a little too doughy. It needed more chocolate filling. Otherwise it still was pretty good! Love the interior of this place. Seemed a little pricey for the bingsu but actually the portion is really generous. We split the green tea ice with 6 people but couldn't finish it still--granted, we did just eat ayce Korean BBQ. The only off-putting part was my interaction with the service members. They seemed annoyed that I asked for more spoons for bingsu. Also, when I bussed the tray and etc back to them they were annoyed I didn't throw away the things first near the store front. It seemed kind of unintuitive to set up the store this way. I only had the green tea ice, but I thought it was really tasty. I liked that it was topped with a matcha flavored mochi as well. Red bean paste always goes well with matcha, and I loved the addition of the sliced almonds. Although it's pretty standard for boba drinks, the wrapped straws and sealed plastic lids make me feel better about picking up drinks for a crowd. I'm no soft serve expert, but I do know what I like and I believe that Snowl does a decent job on their soft serve. I've had soft serve back home in Socal and had some in Japan too! The texture of their soft serve is not as creamy as I would like it (and what I'm used to) - it was more icy. It definitely was sweet so there were no lack of sugar, but there was a lack of fat content.. this is what usually makes it more creamy and rich... which is what I prefer. I do feel it is a bit pricey for the quality.. but so far its like the only taiyaki soft serve establishment in Denver.. great business opportunity to open more! lolol.... With that said.. I still like it here because it reminds me of home (convoy street in SD).. and I'm a bit homesick. This takes me back to that crowded parking lots of convoy street (which I hated), but for the purpose of satisfying my familiarity of SD.. I don't mind it.. for now lol. Oh my god, this place checks all the boxes for me. Snow bowls, boba, tea, AND ice cream? Yes, please. And it is THE CUTEST little café I've ever seen. I mean seriously: I really don't care that much about ambiance in general but this place is ADORABLE. My partner and I brought it a board game and played while we ate and drank (he had a coffee boba that was the perfect blend of sweet and bitter while I had a Taro ice cream in the Taiyaki (a soft waffle cone shaped like a fish) coated with Nutella. The only downsides: the snow bowls are pretty pricey at $10/ea compared to Snow Lab which I think is around $6-$8, but I have no idea what the sizing is so that could be the reason for the difference in price. Also, the bathrooms are on a motion sensor timer that only stays on for about a minute, so you'll have to wave at it the entire time you're on the potty unless you're a fidgeter. read more

[Covid review] Went around 6pm on a weekday and it was already pretty busy -- maybe 4 other groups? There was hand sanitizer readily available and lots of signage about precautions. The tables in the central area were a bit crowded together though for proper social distancing. Service was fairly fast for our big order. The shaved ice was a little less smooth and rich than I'm used to. My friend guessed it was because they didn't use condensed milk? Unsure whether that's the case, but portions were huge and the bowl is better described as a bucket. I was a much bigger fan of the taiyaki with ice cream. The matcha ice cream was delicious and not too sweet, and the taiyaki was fresh. Definitely would love to get it again. read more

I'm really conflicted about this business. If I were to rate Snowl purely on food alone, I'd give a 4/5 stars. It wasn't super fantastic, but It didn't suck. Shaved ice cream is a pretty nifty concept and the boba drinks are just the run of the mill. The filled waffles were okay, I just wish the filling was more in the middle rather than towards the end of the waffle. Now the reason I had such a negative experience was the customer service. We came around 30 minutes to closing and as we were ordering we were told that they were in their closing hour, which was totally fine. We got our order within a timely fashion, but as we pick up our order we are told rather aggressively "we expect you to leave by 11". This is a very rude way to speak to a customer and that was strike 1. We have a fairly large group in our family and we require more spoons because we intended on sharing the desserts. One of my cousins and I went to pick up spoons and after we asked for about 8 spoons, the employee at the front grabs a handful and shoved them into my hands (strike 2). The last straw was as were about to leave they demanded that we wipe our table down. We understand taking our trash away but you cannot tell your customers to wipe down tables. Strike 3!! After an awkward confrontation between the staff and one of my other family members, we were told that it was their policy to kick everyone out of the establishment exactly at 11 and If we read the signs carefully that our tables needed to be cleaned. I've literally never heard of a business in the service industry operate this way. This is absolutely disgusting and ruin the whole experience. The staff were so rude to the point where I cannot in good conscious give this establishment a good rating. read more

I first tried a snow bowl in VA and have been dreaming about the day that I do get to try one again. Snowl was the perfect opportunity for that. I took my sister who had never been and we tried the chocolate snow bowl and the rice cakes. We loved both! The snowl was light and delicious, kept you full without feeling bloated like ice cream does. My sister loved it too. My boyfriend got the chocolate and I got the green tea and both of us were disappointed. Neither were very good and they were pricey for what you actually get. Everyone is saying they are "so big" but the majority of it is ice milk. Not ice cream, ice milk. Stopped by because we were waiting for a table at the ramen spot next door, and this was the perfect place for a pre-meal snack. Their seating is plentiful and it looks like it's a great hang out spot. They also use a kiosk ordering system, which I'm sure is great for moving people quickly and also looked like a great way to manage all the options you have! We got the 5 Taiyaki and they were hot and crispy, with a perfectly sweetened red bean filling. I've had my fair share of taiyaki at a few places in LA and I loved that they kept the little crisps on the outside as it came out of the mold. Tucked into this little strip mall is a delightfully modern Cafe with a sky blue ceiling and dangling puffy clouds. So far I have only had bubble tea- both times I asked for a half-sweet plain milk tea with Boba. The first time was perfect, the second time it was way too sweet. What a unique and authentic asian dessert location in Denver. My wife and daughter had gone to Japan over the summer and keep on raving about the shaved ice with condensed milk they had. The "shaved" ice was more like angle hair frozen goodness. Melt in your mouth flavors that were refreshing and not too sweet. The sweet bean paste could make this dessert a decent option for a full meal, rather than just a dessert.
