The snowballs were good! We heard about this place and traveled about an hour to see what the hype…read morewas about. It was a cool spot. We got lunch in Frederick and came here after for snowballs. They open at 2pm on Saturdays and it was crowded! The parking is the only part of the place that is hard because there are so many people and obviously limited parking. We parked in the overflow lot and they did have someone helping to direct traffic. My whole family got egg custard with marshmallows. 2 smalls and 2 larges. The smalls are big! My kids could have shared for sure. The marshmallow is like a drizzle pattern. Not a scoop of mallow like they do in Baltimore. Hawaiian shaved ice. Lots of flavors and some in sugar free. They also sell eggs by the dozen and tshirts. There is so much do to here for the family. You could sit by the pond, walk a wooded trail, play volleyball, basketball, frisbee, or on the kids playground. Lots to do. It's on someone's property so their house is on the hill overlooking the stand. Bathroom outside is brand new and well kept. It included ac and a changing table which was nice for folks w littles. We waited about 30 minutes and paid $21.40 before tipping for 4 snowballs w marshmallow. Great price for what you get to do. Tip your servers because they sure are working hard! Teens and grandparents working to make this spot great!

The indoor space is a bit small, so it can get crowded, especially if there's only one employee on duty or raining. Lots of outdoor seating! Thank you Frederick Fudge and Ice Cream for satisfying my sweet tooth! The ice cream here was…read morefantastic! It felt very old school with creamy rich flavors. The prices were old school too in the best way possible- two scoops for $6 feels like a steal! The inside is small- there's no room to do anything but order. But they have tons of ice cream flavors so there's someone for everyone. At the end by the register they have fudge and other chocolate treats as well. They have a decently sized patio area in the back that I'm sure fills up on busy days but has a bunch of room. I want to come back and try some of their other options when it's warmer!

The small cone was massive and only 6$, I opted for no toppings but you could also add 2 topping (sauces, sprinkles, candy) included in the price. Also available in a cup. I say "who cares?" I come for the desserts. Tonight I ordered The Neighbor - a homemade cinnamon roll topped with vanilla custard ice cream with caramel sauce. OMG! Great roll, great custard, great sauce. My only complaint is that I didn't get two (hey, cinnamon rolls and milk, especially frozen, make for a great breakfast, yes?). FYI they also sell fresh milk at their farm in Walkersville. Best off-the-shelf chocolate milk I've ever had. Be advised that they accept credit cards at the truck but the farm is cash-only.

My husband and I both ordered the medium twist. And the medium was a generous size. You can get toppings but we choose to have it plain. The ice cream was very smooth and creamy. Even though there was a long line we were served quickly. And there is plenty of outside seating so you will have a place to sit down outside once you get your soft serve. We will definitely return on another summer night for ice cream.

Here, the parking is so plentiful, it's not going to be a worry. It's on the other side of the grocery store (which has a bathroom) and a nursery or garden center next to it. There are plenty of seating which can overlook the hill. I saw a lot of families here so it can be a popular spot. Same flavor availability as the Damascus location so not much difference. The ice cream is pretty good and not too sugary sweet. People here are nice and we got our ice cream quickly. Sat in the car and ate it quick before heading home.

I got a Medium Snow Cone with Egg Custard and Mango Syrup, my partner got a Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Banana, and we grabbed an orange and marshmallow-topping snow cone for family at home. The old-timey stand has walk-up ordering next to an outdoor furniture seller, so we relaxed on some oversized Adirondack chairs while we waited for our order. I appreciated that the snow cone came in a plastic cup that made passenger-seat eating easy cleanup. Of course, this is a snow cone, not the Baltimore classic snow ball. A great, quick stop just off I-70 for when you need that taste of summer!
