I cannot say enough good things about Snorkel Bob's and the beyond amazing customer service we…read morereceived from the staff, especially Tabitha. We were in Maui for our super late honeymoon and wanted to go snorkeling. Upon searching on Yelp I came across Snorkel Bob's and loved how close it was to our hotel. Tabitha was so kind and detailed going over everything we would need for the day and recommendations. Not only was she super knowledgeable about the equipment, she gave us a map of all the best places to go snorkeling for the day in the area. She even gave some great restaurant recommendations. We went to one of the beaches she recommended. There was free parking and a cute little picnic area along with bathrooms. The equipment itself worked great. I on the other hand had panic attacks trying to wear the mask and going in the water, so I only saw some fishies. I'm bummed my anxiety kept me from enjoying snorkeling more, but the next time we're out here, and I hopefully grow a pair by then lol, I will ABSOLUTELY be back at Snorkel Bob's. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ruined our day at black rock. All good though, things happen and we went in with a positive attitude and weren't looking for anything other than an exchange for wrong and broken gear. But brother! Ollie was on duty and he could not have gone more out of his way to make me feel like I was a piece of crap for even trying to explain my issues. Sorry goes a long way. My sorry is I will never be back or rent from this company again.

Had to leave a review because this was honestly one of those rare experiences where someone just…read morecares. We stopped by Boss Frog's in Napili and ended up working with Victoria, who completely made our Maui experience better. Super friendly from the first minute, but what really stood out was how knowledgeable she was about the island--not just the usual "tourist stuff," but real local insight. She helped us get everything set up for a snorkeling day with our 5-year-old (which is not always easy). Took the time to properly fit all the gear, made sure our kid was comfortable and confident, and explained everything in a way that actually made us feel relaxed about it. No rushing, no pressure--just genuinely trying to make sure we had a great time. What impressed me most was how much she went above and beyond. She helped us organize pretty much the whole day--snorkeling, a submarine trip, even gave us great lunch and shopping recommendations. And this wasn't in a "salesy" way at all. In fact, some of the best tips she gave had nothing to do with buying anything from them. She also did exactly what she said she would--followed up, communicated clearly, and everything was on time and as promised. That kind of reliability is underrated, especially when you're on vacation with a kid. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and wants people to have a great experience. It never felt pushy or transactional, which is honestly rare these days. If you're in Maui, go to the Napili location and hope you get lucky enough to work with Victoria. Total game changer for our trip.

The Snorkel Store also has live beach cams, and each morning at 0800h will email with snorkel conditions. Pretty sweet! Have been to all the other joints, Bob's, Auntie's, but the Snorkel Store is a cut above. Highly recommended!

We bought a full set of snorkeling gear for my 16-year-old son and me at their Honolulu location…read moreabout a week ago. The representative there gave us fantastic advice and the equipment has served us beautifully for multiple snorkeling excursions in Oahu and Maui. When we got to Maui, we did the snorkeling tour at Molokini and on the very last stop someone unfortunately stepped on my mask and broke the attachment point on the mask. When I took the mask to the Kihei shop to see if they could repair it they just offered to replace the mask entirely. I can't believe the incredible customer service that we received both on Oahu and on Maui. Thus shop is the real deal! The customer service on both Oahu and Maui have been world class and wow, their selection of snorkeling gear is limited, it's for good reason. This is the best gear available. It's carefully curated and selected and you cannot go wrong by getting your snorkeling gear there whether rental or purchase.

Hands down, the ONLY snorkel gear rental shop you should consider when renting in Maui or any of…read morethe other islands!!! As a (very, very) infrequent snorkeler, I was thinking of buying my own gear off Amazon and figuring out how to make space in my already limited luggage space to fit what I'd need. However, I came across this small snorkel gear chain reading through some online reviews. What really stuck out to me was paying only $5 for an interisland pick up and 24 hr drop off service that wouldn't require bringing rented gear across the islands. In the name of convenience and wanting to see the novelty for myself, I made an online one week gear reservation for prescription snorkels. That costed a little bit more, but absolutely worth the upgrade to be able to see another world under the waves. Pickup at the store was a breeze! The staff was super friendly and courteous, and went out of their way to make sure my prescription was exactly what I needed to see clearly. Included in the rental was an anti-fog solution and a handy fish guide, which were both super helpful and appreciated! The gear was top notch, definitely of great quality and most likely better than whatever $40 gear I'd get off Amazon. More importantly, the 24 hr drop off service worked amazing! I dropped off my 1st rental after hours in the convenient drop off box, and at my next stay in Oahu picked up a fresh set of gear using my previous rental receipt! Drop off was just as easy as well, and the staff at this store was just as friendly and helpful too. Honestly, if you need snorkel gear or want the convenience of not having to schlep gear across islands, Snorkel Bob's is THE only way to go! Not only would you be supporting an amazing local business, but you'll be thankful you have only the best gear in hand to make your snorkeling adventures really unforgettable. If I ever return myself or with other friends/family, I'll definitely be running to a Snorkel Bob's for all my gear rental needs!!

My family and I were walking the Canary mall and saw a sign for a sunset cruise outside of Boss…read moreFrogs. We decided to go in and get more information. We spoke with Lenny Verrastro and he ended up selling us on a Snorkeling cruise instead. He raved on about how it was a 4 1/2 hr cruise with two seperate new dive spots that they've only been going to for about 2 weeks and that we would have 1 1/2 hrs at each spot to snorkel. We got there and went out, the crew was great and friendly. After an hour and half boat ride we got to the first spot and we're able to go snorkel. After about an hour and half I went back on the boat to get ready for the next spot. I heard one of the crew announce 20 more minutes and then we will be heading back. I asked about the second spot and the informed me that they dont do two spots, only one. I asked about what I had been sold by Lenny that we would be going to two spots and they said this boat (the Quicksilver) does not do two spots, they never have and that Lenny must have got confused with their other boat the Calipso. This was very dissapointing as I had not taken any pictures at this spot thinking that I would have a chance at the next spot. In order to have pictures, we ended up having to purchase pictures from the photographer on board which was extremely overpriced. When we got back to the landing, I went into the Boss Frogs there and let them know what had happened. They said there was nothing they could do and gave me a number to call. The next day I called Lenny to ask about what happened. I explained that we only went to one spot (which was neither of the 2 he said we would go to) and that when I asked the crew they said that he must have been mistaken because they only go to one spot. He apologized and then proceed to tell me that the crew was wrong and he doesn't know why they would tell me that and they were supposed to go to two spots. After a bit of conversation not getting anywhere, I ended the call and called the number given by the Boss Frogs at the landing. The number was for the boats reservations. I spoke to them and explained again what had happened to which they also explained that the Quicksilver only goes to one spot and their other two boats both make two stops. She said the Lenny must have been confused and there was nothing they could do, I would have to call Lenny back. I didn't feel that I would get anywhere calling him back so I came here to warn everyone to stay away from Boss Frogs for your boat tours and especially do not book anything through Lenny. The boats were great and the crew was awesome, I would recommend them. You can call the boat reservation line directly at 808-661-9937. **Follow Up** Within 2 hours of my yelp review I received a reply on Yelp, an email from Boss Frogs business manager and a call back from Lenny all apologizing for the misinformation and they processed a partial refund.
