Not very reputable! When asking about part for repair to gas furnace reply was "I don't know" Not sure how you carry parts and not know what they cost! (BTW-I checked and it's a $20 part) I then asked how much he charges by the hour. Responded with a flat rate of $275. Wonder if he would have charged more for a job that took longer than 20 minutes? My HVAC system was installed in early 2013 by another company that was later purchased by Snohomish Heating & A/C. This month the fan went out. The system was still under warranty and Snohomish Heating & A/C came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and had me up and working again in a reasonable amount of time. I purchased a resale home built in early 2016. Home has two electric heat pumps along with two furnaces. After moving in last month it became apparent that the HVAC system was not working properly. Contacted a local and reputable HVAC company to seek out the problem. Found out that both systems were failing. Both had TXV valves that had failed and one also was leaking refrigerant and needed to be fully recharged. I reached out to Snohomish Heating and was told he would not cover or even help with labor. And that he wouldn't even come out to look at or work on the system and wanted to refer me to a different company. Posting this on behalf my co-workers and employer: We've been trying to get a furnace repaired for over a month. First a part wasn't in. Then the part wasn't ordered. Then they forgot to call and let us know it was in. Then the repair person forgot us on the scheduled day. The next day the repair person walks off the job. Furnace is still not working. Tried to leave a message and they're not answering the phones and the voice mailbox is full. Left an email message that hasn't been returned. We recently decided to have our furnace serviced at our Marysville house. We had Jeff as our service tech. He came out and did a really great job on our furnace, which is pretty old and wasn't serviced in a long time, but he has clearly been in the industry a long time and knew exactly how to get it running great without having to replace any expensive parts. We appreciated that he was on-time, communicated really well, did great work, and was very reasonably priced compared to some of the other places nearby. We will be using this business again, especially if we need to install a new furnace or A/C unit in our house. Thank you Jeff! read more

Wow, wow, wow! I'm not sure how this place stays in business if they don't get back to potential customers. We called and requested an estimate of our 5000 sq ft home. The estimator was good at explaining options, potential issues and setting expectations. We provided blueprints of our home to help with the estimate. I was told that he'd get back to me in a few days. 3 weeks later crickets! I even called the company to see what's going on, knowing technicians can come and go. No answer so I left a voicemail. Nothing! Not a single call back....email...text.... Or smoke signal. I mean how can you turn away business? Sorry Snohomish HVAC this isn't professional at all and leaves a horrible impression to someone trying to provide you business. Too bad. read more

I have been managing new construction for over ten years, have built over 200 homes, and dealt with 100's of subcontractors, but these guys were absolutely the worst I've ever had to work with. I can't tell if they're incompetent, or just lazy. My furnace went out. Called these guys and they were able to get a tech out the next morning (thursday). Great start. Tech showed up on time, but forgot his volt meter, which is essential in his field. Tried to work without it, but needless to say, 30 minutes later he had to go back to the office to retrieve it. I asked what the lead time was if they were to swap it out rather than repair it, just in case I wanted to go that route. He told me he thought they had an opening that afternoon (thur). Then he reassured me that they'd get it figured out and get me taken care of. After an hour of trying to figure it out, I had to leave to take my son to a birthday party, and told him I'd be back shortly. 10 minutes after my leaving, his office called to say he left and would be back in the afternoon with his manager, Steve. Then in the afternoon, Steve called me to say they couldn't fix it and I'd need a new furnace. Sounds like Steve just didn't feel like coming out. My furnace is pretty old, so I was prepared to buy a new furnace anyway. Agreed to the price, and earliest available was Tues. If I would've been told they didn't want to fix it from the start, I may have been able to get an earlier spot. No heat this Christmas. Tuesday morning, got a call from dispatch saying they couldn't get to me that day, and that they'd have to push me to thur. Now one week without heat after being reassured they'd "take care of it" on day one. Thursday, 15 min after scheduled time, I called to make sure I was on their schedule. Got confirmation that they'd be here. Then no call, no show. Called friday morning, and the scheduler apologized for the miscue, but now they couldn't make it until the following monday. I get screwed, then put to the back of the line. Asked to talk to Steve, but surprise, he juuuust walked out. Steve just doesn't give a f@#$. Got a call back from the pm scheduler who said she could get me in the next morning. Ok. Saturday morning, called to confirm, but office is closed. Left message. Saturday....no call, no show. Monday morning, called, but office is closed. No call, no show. Called another HVAC company who could install next day, no problem, easy swap. Tuesday, received a call from Steve who left me a voicemail saying he realized they didn't show saturday due to not receiving the furnace on fri. Wait, I was originally on the schedule for 5 days earlier. Steve must not have ordered the furnace. Again, I don't know if it's incompetence or laziness. Anyway, the tech was on his way to pick it up, then head over to install it, a full week after my originally scheduled time slot. Sorry Steve, already done. And in the message, no apology. No follow up phone call. He truly couldn't care any less. read more

Scheduled an appointment for heating estimate no call no show first time I had to call and was told the technician was running late. So we rescheduled 2nd time no call no show . Left a voicemail to find out what happened and never returned my call back. Terrible way to run a business. I even tried speaking to the manager but that was of no help. Yikes. Initially a great company. Fixed our old heater until it died. Gave great service on installation of new Daikin heater/AC unit and came out to service issues. After 6 months, they lost interest and have not returned calls or come out as promised when an appointment has been made - making me take days off that I didnt need to take. Finally called Daikin and they are no longer a contractor for them. Thanks Steve and "guys". Great to leave your customers in the lurch. Luckily, Daikin referred me to someone who will help. read more

I cant believe this place is till in business. Jeff the owner is useless to file complaints with so don't even try. After multiple attempts of working it out with the company we've filed our complaints with the BBB.org. We have a heat pump and furnace installed by these guys that frequently stops working and the company refuses to return our calls to fix the issue. I REALLY wanted to use these folks due to the experience I had with the owner on a repair a couple years ago. Things were a completely different experience this time around. first appointment for the quote. A woman named Rachel showed up an hour late for a 3 hour window, and only after I called 15 minutes after the window. I answered the door to her talking on her phone. She didn't seem very well prepared for a quote either. Within 5 minutes she's in the garage telling me that the new furnace would be roughly 4-7 THOUSAND dollars. Now this isn't a conversion of any sort. Its literally a swap from old to new so I was a little shocked. She then needed to schedule a follow up for the next Monday, Labor day to give me the real quote? I asked if they are really working on that day, she said yup we are. I wasn't surprised when they called to cancel and reschedule. In between the visit and the call, I had emailed (they don't answer the phone) my concerns that I didn't think things were going well and told them I was looking for the owner who took such great care of us. They assured me that things would be handled perfectly going forward...Well, then they no showed on that rescheduled appointment. Thinking I was wrong on the time, I was patient, stayed home all day, 8am comes goes, 12, 2, 4pm all in the past. Now I'm pretty mad. Called, no answer. emailed, no answer. Called a few times over that week, never a call back or an email response! I'm not a picky jerk of a customer. Just a guy who when spending money that has a comma in it, wants some level of service. The guy who sells me a soda at 7-11, I could care less! If it was two years ago rating these guys off of my experience, 5 stars all the way. Now? I don't know what has happened. Maybe the owner is retired, sold the company, I don't know. Its a polar opposite experience. Zero customer service, Zero follow up, Zero follow through, missed appointments. I used Brennan for my furnace. They were competitive in the price (great Costco deal). Everyone came out when they said they would. Smooth as Id expect. As far as the "4-7 grand" Rachel spat out, everyone I got a quote from kinda laughed and then tried to figure out how that might happen? I'm laughing now even because I'm remembering she wanted to cut two extra cold air returns into the house! Writing this review I know there are others that have had some bad experiences with this company in the past but that is not what I experienced from Jeff. He returned my calls very quickly and was out to perform the service at a time frame that worked for me and at the best price I could find. The service call was quick and thorough on both my furnace and heat pump and he even took time to secure the thermostat to the wall properly which had been missing a screw. I called Jeff at Snohomish Heating and A/C when our furnace stopped working. I found his ad on the internet. This was a total leap of faith, since I'd never needed a heating company before, and needed someone out the same day. Jeff came out just a few hours after I spoke to him on the phone. He never tried to sell me anything. He quickly diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate and fixed the problem in under 30 minutes. The final bill came in at half of what I was expecting and $50 less than he'd initially quoted me. Jeff seemed like a very honest guy and was a pleasure to do business with. I had a call recently from Jeff, the present half owner and the man who created a respectable, well run customer service oriented small business in Snohomish. A town where locals will go out of their way to "buy local" to support business. I was one of those. By his own admission Jeff made a terrible mistake in 2013 of selling half of his business to Steve O. who promptly, and in short order ran it into the ground. Along with many others, I was one of those casualty customers. You can tell just from the Yelp ratings almost to the month when Jeff left active duty and turned it over to his partner. After nearly two years following install I had a $20,000 system that was ineffective and often inoperable. Mitsubishi and its Distributor of equipment, Genesco, took over my issue and are continuing to attempt a fix. Snohomish Heating and A/C by this time were out of picture. I incurred attorney fees to help get this trainwreck back on the rails which Jeff offered to cover, which he has. Jeff was left with a partner who bailed on him and left behind the remnants of a business that he sincerely believes can be saved but no doubt functioning in a different business model for the future. read more

So the response time was great. The price gouging not so great. I was told I needed a new motor for my furnace and was quoted 1096.00 for new motor. When I called around and called an old HVAC friend from my 15 years in construction, I discovered that the motor really only cost 300.00 dollars! Wow that is a HUGE difference in price. Then, they did not show up to our house 3 times, one time they tried to blame us, the 3rd and final time they cancelled after my husband took the time off work to go meet them, whats worse is they cancelled right before the appointment. read more

Terrible customer service. We try to keep our money local so went with Snohomish Heating and A/C for a ductless A/C unit. Rachel screwed up our service contract several times and we thought she was brand new so didn't say anything. The tech was supposed to be out early to install the unit and by 10:00 we called the office to see where he was. Rachel answered and sounded VERY tired saying he was "on his way". An hour later he showed up with no apology, nothing. (We are literally twelve minutes from their office) A simple phone call would have been nice. The electricians were supposed to show up as well but they were NOT scheduled by Rachel! So the tech did the electrical himself even leaving for two hours to "get parts". Entire day shot as it was EIGHT hours for the install. Terribly aggravating and disappointed in this company. Totally unprofessional and, three weeks later, no one has called to follow up on our satisfaction with the process....what a surprise. We will never use them again and will warn others who may need their service. $4k...should have spent it with a better run company. read more
