As most people know when you have this type of leak it is the homeowner's responsibility to repair. This can be a tricky and expensive repair as you must locate the water line and excavate 2-3 feet down to repair. After not getting timely or consistent responses from the plumbers I contacted, it dawned on me that this is really a Utility service repair. Working in my neighborhood was a crew installing new utilities. They had trenches open pipes in etc. it was obvious that they had the skills and expertise to do the job. I made contact with the owner Miguel, he came over assessed the problem and agreed to help. As with most projects things didn't go exactly as planned, we found surprises underground there was no way to know about ahead of time. Miguel devised quick economical solutions and was able to overcome the unexpected obstacles with ease. The team at Hard Ground operated with a high degree of safety and experience as they navigated other underground utilities using a combination of equipment and hand digging. They completed the repair filled the trenches and had all the tools to compact the ground to original specs and even gave me a temporary asphalt patch. I highly recommend them for any type of ground work a home or business owner may have. We plan to have them back out for a planned improvement project.

The work provided included a grading of a hill to open up our basement to create a patio area, separate entrance, and ramp up. John also demo'd a shed that we didn't need, filled in various areas around our property with excavated first/concrete, dug us a large hole to move the sewer line in our basement, and threw in some tree removal while we were there. In our…read morecase, not only did he insist that we do things "the right way" (which turned out to be absolutely correct), his unique experience with operating and navigating heavy equipment saved the day when we had a portable building delivered following our excavation project with John. That project involved extensive fill to create a pad for placing the building, as well about a dozen loads of rock and gravel to restore 300+ feet of driveway--plus extensive tree trimming to clear the way for the upcoming delivery. John's skills with his bulldozer are masterful, and the finished work is inspiring. When the building was delivered, John carefully guided the delicate navigation through our forest to get the building placed correctly.
