I called around looking to have my large back yard graded with a dozer so I could plant some grass. Dexx responded immediately and was very easy to talk to. He immediately sent one of his guys out and we walked through the job. He fit me into his schedule right away. On Track Excavation excavated/installed drainage (two 12" grated catch basins with pipe draining into existing culvert) at the bottom of my gravel driveway in front of a detached garage to prevent rainwater from creeping into the garage. I appreciated Dexx's honesty when he stopped by for the estimate; he let me know I didn't need a full-on cement channel drain (that another company had suggested) in order to achieve the drainage I was looking for, and the solution he suggested was about half the cost of the other two estimates I had gotten prior to contacting him. Dexx is honest, has lots of experience and has tons of equipment to accomplish almost any dirt or underground work, and he'll bring in subcontractors if he can't do it. He is very connected within the construction trades and that paid off because his arborist recommendation saved me $1000 over the competition when I needed to have a tree removed before we could move dirt. Dexx and his guys turned my hillside into a flat, laser-leveled 30x50 foot site ready for a building and made a nice gravel road up to it - all in a day and a half. Dexx paid attention to my worries about my nearby septic system and he made sure not to do any damage to it and his knowledge about underground plumbing made me feel confident about having the road where I wanted it. Dexx and his guys showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and came prepared for what needed to be done which wasn't simple to me, but they made it look easy for a price less than I was quoted by another local excavator. I had Dexx come out and remove some gravel that had a lot of dirt mixed in with it from some landscaping we had done this past summer. Some of the gravel was ok, so he filled in some low spots. His use of the excavator is precise. He hauled away the bad stuff, leveled out the rest and did a great job! He cost for the job was exactly what we agreed upon. I'm a DIY guy, so i tried to excavate my back yard in preparation to have a patio poured. After dozens of hours, several broken shovels and wheelbarrows, and a very sore body, I decided to call DEX. In 3 hours, he totally transformed the topography of my backyard. All of my summer landscape jobs requiring excavation were done in a few hours. I couldn't be more pleased with his work.
